My Beautiful Gentle Giant.

This is my dog Uuphoo..I didn't name her!!..LOL She was such a sweetheart.. she passed away in the fall of 2004 a week after I lost my grand mother.. It was a tough month that month.. She lived to be almost 10 yrs. The vet said that she had lived a good long life..I had to make the dreadful decision to have her put down. Her stomach had flipped and she was agony.. The vet said that I had made the right choice.. I miss her dearly..
Here's close up her beautiful face..she was so soft.. and didn't drool at all, ever..
my BFF had made a bandana for her with sunflower print fabric, so thats where I got the sunflowers from, plus I thought that sunflowers are big and beautiful, just like she was..
I love this photo of her.. we were all sledding and we had to tie her up cause we were afraid she would get run over..she wasn't very happy about it.. she wanted to play along with all the kids..
The title to the page.. "Gentle giant!"..cause thats what she was.. her bark was definitely worse than her bite..
I added lady bugs, cause she was such a prima lady and snails cause she was never in a hurry..
I never hand journal cause I never know what to say.. but, this time I did want to add a little bit me into this layout. She was my beautiful girl..

This is a layout of my daughter Amber and my best friends son, Kyle. They have been best friends since forever.. My dd is now 20 and Kyle is 18, so I guess their friendship has lasted 18yrs..

Eternal Love

Sorry the photo is a bit bad, but the lighting in this room is just aweful today.
Funny story behind my hubby photo.. I met him through his little brother.. DH had come down to Florida for a visit from Iowa. We were having a small get together at my house and he shows up with his brother.. When we were introduced, I knew in my heart that I was going to marry this man some day. We did bump into each other here and there, but stayed as friends until one day in the spring of 92 we decided to become more than just friends.. now, its 18 yrs later and I love him dearly with all of my heart..
I really tried to get a good photo of his pic and the text I added.. I had actually done some computer journaling but when I went to print, my ink cartridges were empty..so I had to try to get it all in there with my Cricut.

The whole text reads:
LOVE (over sized letters): Begins in a moment, Grows over time and Lasts for eternity.

WeddingDay word album-Finnish.

Here it is..finally finished after working on it for 4 days (on and off).. I made this for my co-worker who's son got marrried in June.. I made them an album as a wedding gift and this one is for the mother of the groom to keep some of her favorite photos in..
This says "H.Ä.Ä.P.Ä.I.V.Ä" Which means Wedding day.. The finnish alphabet has "A's" that have two little dots on them, so I added the little flowers as the dots..they look like little mickey mouse ears..LOL
I made the word "Henkka" as the top of the cover cause that is the name of her son..
this will be the only text I add to the album.. the mom of the groom can fill in all the other stuff.. I think adding text and journaling is so personal that I just don't feel comfortable doing it for someone else.. especially since my finnish is so bad when it comes to trying to write..LOL
Here are just some photos of the inside of the album.. I have no photos to add to the matting, so they are all empty..the mom will add her own photos.
journaling tags hidden away behind the photo mats..
This is one of my favorite photo matts.
just another one..
and another..LOL

and another.
another hidden tag.. I have 4 of them in total, but I think I will be adding a few more.

  • Cricut cart: Storybook-album(squares and lettering) all embellishments
