TGIF!! Its been an amazing week this week, been on vacation from my everyday job only to help out my hubby at his garage.. Greeting customers and answering the phones.. I don't know much about cars, but I guess I look like I do :)
I did have some free time to get a little crafting done and decided to create a fun card for our Die Cut challenge over at SOUS.. For today's challenge, we were asked to use any die cut that was either "Food or Beverage!".. Since I love coffee, I decided to put my Cricut good use and blew the dust off of my " Love you a latte!" cartridge :)

Here is what I created:
The coffee cup, heart and scalloped background were all from the "Love you a latte!" cartridge..
The title and punched trim, I created with my Cameo..

For my SWEET friend card- Pretty Cute stamps reveal

I'm so excited to share with you some of the cutest stamps that I've had the privilege of using.. Although I haven't used stamps all that much,  I've always been keen to learn how to create fun cards etc with them and now was my chance :)  I got to work with the new "Just chill" stamp set by Pretty Cute Stamps and I had so much fun with them and actually, I had a hard time choosing which ones to use..LOL

Here are what the stamps look like:
pretty sweet right? :)

and here is the card I created using this stamp set:
The card measures 4x6 and I don't own any fancy markers (yet), so I decided to use these fun prints from this cute paper set I've been holding onto and I stamped the image of the Popsicle onto the backside of the printed paper, then cutting them out with scissors.. the only reason why I didn't stamp directly onto the print side is cause I can not cut a straight line to save to my life :) LOL
this way, they look flawless right?..

I also added a sentiment to the inside of the card:

and I can not express how much I love these papers..
Every once in a while we create something we are truly proud of and this card is one of my all time favorites..

How about some close ups:

added a punched trim along with twine and ribbon, which is underneath the number trim..
I added the popsicles to the card using foam tape.. I love that 3D look ..

Not sure if you can see in this photo, but I added some glossy accents to the popsicles.. Just another form of texture I wanted to add to this card..  The sentiment is stamped onto the printed paper, then I cut it, inked the edges with distress ink and finally attached it using foam tape..
I love adding layers and texture to my projects :)

for supplies used:

Stamp set by. Pretty Cute Stamps
Papers by: PinkPaislee "Hometown summer!"
StazOn black ink
distress inks: Shabby Shutters, Brushed Corduroy and Worn Lipstick
MS edge punch
foam tape
ribbon and twine
glossy accents
white cardstock
white gel pen

and there ya have it.. A fun card using some "Sweet" stamps :)
Do stop by the new Pretty Cute Stamps store and check out all of the amazingly fun sets Lisa has in her store that she has designed herself..  All of the stamps go perfectly with the cutting files from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store..
Thank you for stopping by today and taking a look at my first pretty cute project :)
Till next time...
Happy Scrappin

Dreaming of you- PPPR DT reveal

Hi everyone,
I have a fun summer themed card to share with you today that I created as my Design Team project for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons..  I absolute love the ice cream popsicle's in the "Popsicle Fever" cutting file.  I knew I really wanted to create a fun card and then thought of popsicle's floating around in clouds, like you're dreaming of them.. Yeah, my brain works in mysterious ways..LOL

Here is what I created:
The card measures 6x6 and has lots of fun layers using foam tape.

Here are some close ups:

I added the text to the banner (Sentiment Spots 1-cutting file ) using the SIL software, then grouping the font with the file, finally just cutting around the edge.

I felt the trim around the circle needed a little something, something.  So, I cut a few small flowers and leaves from the Flower Assortment cutting file

I love adding clouds to my projects, they really soften them up.. these clouds can be found in the

Side view of the ice cream pops.. they are all in the "Popsicle Fever" cutting file..

and there ya have my cute ice cream popsicle card..
It was so much fun to put together and I inked/chalked the edges of the die cuts, just to give them a little more dimension and to have them literally pop off the page..

I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by today and check out my DT project..
till next time..

For today's hop, we are all making hot hot hot themed projects..I decided to create a layout. I have loads of photos from every summer of my husband grilling, so what better way to show case a fun summer photo than adding it to a fun layout :)
this is what I created:

I love that adorable little doggy..
We have two of them and they are always hanging around the grill hoping for something to drop..LOL

How about a few close ups:
The cookout Cutting file has some fun summer themed images..
Love love love the grill and I used the utensils to create the fun title..

This cute little guy is from the Birthday Critters cutting file..
I just added the steak, the apron and chef's hat which are all in the Cookout cutting file..

These great palm trees are in the Dino-mite cutting file and the sun is in the Cool Sun cutting file..
I also wanted to create a fun background so I grabbed one of the labels from the Labels 1 cutting file, stretched to fit and then cut it in half so I was able to add a print for print and cut with the SIL software.

The beer bottles, I added those since my hubby loves his beer (what man doesn't right? LOL)
These are in the Happy Hour cutting file and I used the scalloped trim which is in the Borders 2 cutting file

We usually grill corn during out cook outs, so I added the basket of corn, which is in the First Thanksgiving cutting file.  plus I wanted to create a scene of sorts, so grabbed the grass from the Flower Assortment cutting file and finally the fence is from the On The Farm cutting file.

and there ya have it.. my project for todays hop..

Life is an adventure card-DC reveal SOUS

My eldest son Aaron, turned 21 on Wednesday the 9th and he left for the Finnish army on Monday the 7th..
A 6 months basic training term is mandatory for all males once they turn 18 years old here in Finland, even for my boys since they have dual citizenship, all of my kids were born in the States but we live here permanently..  So, I wanted to create a card for him to celebrate a birthday but at the same time to celebrate another step forward in life..  I won't see him for at least two weeks, after that he will be home most weekends till his 6 months is up..The Finnish army is way more laid back than if you were serving in the States..
but before I talk your ear off, here is the card I created for our die cut reveal over at SOUS and for this week, we were to go with a theme "Going Somewhere!"..
I wanted to play with colors that weren't on my normal color palette and also some shapes I don't feel comfortable playing with except for the clouds of course :)

how about a few close ups:

added lots of layers using foam tape and lots of little pearl drops.

I printed the title to the label..

for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette designer edition software
Canon home printer

Digital papers
white cardstock
cutting files: SIL store
foam tape
distress ink
white liquid pearls
white gel pen

I want to thank you for stopping by today and taking a look at what I've created.. For more inspiration, do stop by SOUS and check out the fun projects from our design team..
Till next time..

"Are we there yet!" layout-DT for PPPR

TGI-Tuesday..LOL
I'm here today to share a layout I created as my Design project for Pretty paper, Pretty Ribbon and I loved using this cutting file by Lisa and that is the "Are We There Yet?" cutting file..

Because we live in Finland (moved here in 96) we try to visit friends and family that live in the States as much as possible..
Our very first trip back was in 2005, we went to spend the Christmas holidays there..
I decided it was time to scrap the photo of my three kids (then in their early teens) as we were waiting at the Helsinki airport to board our flight..

Here is what I created:
I was able to put my Glitz papers to good use along with these cute die cuts..
I also created a mask, that I used to dab brown paint to create the hexagon back ground :)
and rubbed a bunch of distress ink to the edges of the white card stock to age it a bit..

How about a few close ups:

Love the font in the title, its way too much fun..
I attached it to the layout with foam tape..
I also decided to add the tickets and a suitcase, just to have a nice cluster of embellishments, plus a scalloped trim to the bottom and that's in the Borders 2 cutting file..

The clipboard cutting file is a great and fun way to add a little journaling to the layout..
our flight left at 7am and we weren't at our best that early in the morning..LOL

We all had two suitcases each when we travel, we were gone for 5 weeks..
I love the stack the suitcases in the Are We there yet cutting file..
I love that fact that the cutting files are layered, so you actually get more to work with..

and there ya have it..
This was definitely one of my favorite layout's I've created in a long time.. Loved looking at our vacation photos and I'm so excited to get more of them scrapped..  :)
So, till next time..
