Beautiful

Wow.. Is it Monday again? LOL  These days are just flying by and a few days ago, I thought to myself " Well, I'll get the project done tomorrow!" and then I can't cause I have to go there or do something else.. which really upsets me that I have to re-plan my scrappy schedule..Grrrr...LOL
but with that said, this post a little late since I wasn't able to get to it sooner..  I had a design in mind for this layout and I had a blast putting it all together..
I've seen a lot of the honeycomb backgrounds and I wanted to create one of my own.. I used my Cricut to cut the honeycomb shapes out of cream cardstock, inked the edges with distress ink and then cut the prints using the Sun Kiss papers..
Here is my project:

The background paper is from the Prima Sun Kiss collection 12x12.. I then decided to utilize my 6x6 stack and cut the smaller pieces out of that.. making sure not to waste any of this GORGEOUS paper..
All of the flowers came with my Prima collection since I bought the WHOLE collection..  I ended up with more than I could ever imagine..LOL

here are a few close ups:

for supplies used to create this layout:

Cricut: title and honeycomb
cartridges:
Home Decor: Title

leaves

alrighty then fellow scrappers.. Thats my Design team project for Your Memories Here.. I want to thank you all so much for stopping by today and checking out what I've created..
Hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week.

Oh Fudge!- SOUS reveal

As were slowly getting towards June, this will be the last sketch challenge for May for us girls over at S.O.U.S.. Our very own Leah has designed this weeks sketch and I had a lot of fun playing with it.. I decided top make a silly layout of my boys helping me make fudge.. My mother in law gave me her awesome recipe for fudge and told me to get strong men to help out stirring the fudge once the marshmallows were added.. I had my son's help out and they both got super tired stirring the fudge..LOL

So, Here is my layout:
The photo's themselves did not photo very well, but my son Aaron is on the left and my son Adam is on the right.. I got to torture them that day..LOL
I added cuts onto my layout to resemble marshmallows and pieces of chocolate, cause that is what we put into our fudge..

Lil Racer- Sketch reveal SOUS

Oh, yea its Friday, its Friday, its Friday...LOL  First of all, let me begin by wishing all of you mom's a very happy Mother's Day this coming up Sunday..
so, with that said..LOL  Us girls over at S.O.U.S are having our sketch reveal today and our very own Leah is the designer behind this Friday's sketch.. I picked my brain a little bit and came up with a cute little layout and I've noticed that since I started using my Cricut a lot more, I've been enjoying myself scrapping again.. Don't get me wrong, I love using all types of scrappy goodness.. But sometimes its nice to go back to an all time fav and for me it's my cricut..
yes, I'll stop yapping now..LOL

Here is my take on this weeks sketch:

I had so much fun playing with my little boy cartridges again, which masculine layouts are always a struggle for me but the last weeks have been so much fun making all these layouts for my boys..
I just wished I had found some photos of my son Aaron actually sitting in the little red car, but they are hidden away and I couldn't find them.. Grrrrrr

Here is the sketch :

and for a few close up:

Hmmm.  Wonder if my hubby was a big Earnhardt fan?..
He still is, just rooting for Jr now a days..

My Peachy Keen stamp came in handy again.. Love their facial stamps

I thought adding the band-aids was a cute touch..LOL and what kid doesn't like colorful ones...

My journaling...LOL  I know my boys will get a kick out of it..

I once again designed this layout using Cricut Craftroom..
Here is a picture of the actual design and how it looked before I pieced em all together:
*I realized that I could print the background colors (green, black and light blue) onto one piece of white cardstock and not have to print on three different sheets and waste it by cutting it..

and for supplies used:

Cricut Craftroom for design
Cricut Imagine printer and die cutter
Cricut Imagine cartridge: Kate's Kitchen (color palette)

regular cartridges:

George and Basic Shapes:
Circle and big squares

Boys will be Boys:
Title: Lil' Racer

B is for Boy:
Car and band aids

My Community:
Stop sign and road

Create a Critter:
Grass and clouds

Doodlecharms:
Sun and palm trees

Everyday Paper Dolls:
Traffic cones and landscape

White cardstock
black gel pen for hand doodling
foam dots
inks
white gel pen
computer generated journaling
and finally
Peachy Keen stamps

Well fellow scrappers.. That about does it for me for this Friday.. Do stop by S.O.U.S and join in on this sketch challenge.. It really is a lot easier than you think.. just grab a few photos and your favorite scrappy supplies, we have provided the sketch..LOL
Thank you all so much for taking the time and checking out my Friday project..
I hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week..
hugs

The Great Outdoors with Prima

Those of you who can't resist Prima Goodies, raise your hands...LOL  I'm right there with you all...
When I seen Kristina was offering the new Prima Collection grab bags, I made sure to be one of the first ones on the list..LOL  I decided I wanted it all and so, asked for an entire collection and when I got my package, Holy Moly.. There were so many amazing things in there, I couldn't make up my mind on what to use first..
So, for today's Prima project, I decided to use some of the small roses: Charmé Rose-Sun Kiss, The Essential Petals-Sun Kiss and Camille Flowers-Sun Kiss, I also used some of the mini butterflies: Flutter Bits-Sun Kiss.
I also used the background papers that had a yellow and flowers on it..  But the best is you can get them all in one amazing grab bag.. depending on which collection you choose of course.. You can check them out by clicking HERE.

So, Here is my layout:
I also used my Cricut Imagine to create a few die cuts to go along with the Prima flowers..
