Spooks-SOUS

I'm so sorry for posting a bit late..
My work schedule for this month has been unbelivably hectic.. Hopefully things will get better next month..
I've been so busy with my own job and then trying to help my husband with this business and always the Mommy duty as well.. Trying to fit crafting in there some where just about killed me..LOL
But, I did get my layout finished for our Friday Reveal over at SOUS and it got so down to the very last second that I had to leave the spiddy a bit un-done, but markered in some eyes and mouth..

And then the title for some reason sounded a lot better in my head than it did on paper...LOL must of been the very tired scrapper in me...LOL  but was going for the " for the birds!" kind of statement.. yeah! I know what your thinking...LOL
I'm sorry I have no close ups of the layout.. I was in just such a hurry to get atleast the one photo taken..
alrighty then ladies..

Enjoy Life-GenerationsCrafting DT

I've been having so much fun making layouts and other crafts for Floren Boynton over at Generations Crafting.  I've truly been blessed with some wonderful crafting items that she has so generously allowed me to work with and these fantastic Websters Pages are just the cream of the crop..
I haven't done a lot of fussy cutting (<-- hope thats right..LOL) but these are just so easy to work with..
the photos are of my daughter Amber when she turned 5yrs old and the title is part of the papers, but it just fit these photos and her age so perfectly.. Every 5 year old just enjoys life..
Here are some close ups of the layout:

I hand made some flowers, wasn't sure exactly what color to go with, but thought too much white wouldn't show up on the layout, so decided on yellow and red to go with the striped background paper.
The leaves I cut using the A Childs Year cartridge and then used my sanding block to scrape some of the green off of the edges.. love the look  :)

and for supplies used:

papers: Websters Pages
cardstock: white, light yellow and green
Papers for the flowers : K&Co yellow and red

liquid pearl-white
pearl drops
say it with pearls by Prima
sanding block
yellow stickles: flower trim
White flowers by Prima
Tim Holtz distress inks for the inking of the edges of the cardstock

This was so much fun, quick and easy to put together. I absolutely love it..
Oh and I have a mini in the making using these same papers..can't wait to show you that as well.. minis are so super great to use left over scraps on, this way absolutely nothing goes to waste..
And before I forget, do stop by Generations Craftings blog as well and become a follower, super fun contests and drawings you can join weekly and win some super fantastic prizes..
well ladies, thank you all so much for looking and
have a great and creative week everyone.. :O)

There is Snowman Like You-SOUS

We had a real challenge this week at SOUS having to work with a round sketch.. I'm so stuck on using cardstock for the background to my layouts, that I decided to keep it square but add the circle to the center instead.. plus, this way I was able to embellish it the way I wanted to..LOL  love making these little snowmen using the oval cuts on the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge..

Here is the sketch we used this week:

and here are some close ups of the layout:
The title.. it is actually grey cardstock on the back, looks kind of mud colored..LOL
I added some white liquid pearl and some frosted lace stickles on it..

My habanero (hot hubby)..LOL..
We were visiting the north pole, took the kids to meet Santa Clause,
and it was extrememly cold out that day, hance the furry hat..
We sat down to eat dinner and he just kept the hat on..LOL

My Pumpking- DT layout for GC

I've said it once and I'll say it again "I Love My Cricut!"..LOL
With a just a little bit of an imagination, that little paper cutter can pretty much do anything..

I used the wonderf Imaginisce Apple Cider line papers(generously donated by Generations Crafting) for the big circle..Once again didn't want to over power the layout with lots of prints.. going for a semi simple look..<--funny
This photo is of my son Aaron when he was only 2 years old dressed in his Halloween best.. He was such a cute little pumpkin..
Here are some close ups of the layout:
I welded the head to a skirt cut using George and basic shapes, plus the Paper Doll dress up cart..
the hat is from Pooh and Friends, mittens are from Joys of the Season.. Sunflowers from Walk in My Garden..

The cute little pumpkins are from the Mini Monsters cart and so is the title "My Pumpking!"

I did a lot of inking and chalking again on this layout, but I'm really happy with the end result and I have to say the scarecrow turned out great..
so, Thank you all so much for looking
and do stop by Generations Crafting for more wonderful crafting ideas..
Have a great and creative weekend..

Chic'n U Out- DT for Generations Crafting

Good Monday to you all..
I've been busy creating this layout using some of the Imaginisce Apple Cider papers.. I was actually kidding around with Leah (a.k.a BeeCherryLady) one day and this layout popped into my head (scary place at times, yes!)..LOL  I had a blast with these wonderful new cuts that the new cartridges have on them.. The chickens have to be one of my favorites..LOL

I pretty much only used different colors of cardstock on this layout cause I really wanted to bring out the print in the apple cider paper which I used for the background..
I thought that too many prints would over power what I was trying to achieve here..LOL
and for some close ups:

and then for supplies used:

Imaginisce Apple Cider line
cardstock: red, orange, white, black, green and yellow

Cricut cartridges:

Country Life:
chickens, title and corn husks

A Childs Year:

Pumpkins (ovals) and Big circles

October 31st:
Vines (one cut that I cut into smaller pieces with scissors)

white gel pen for hand doodling
Black ink pen for faux stitching

Inks and chalks
Pop dots

That does it again for me for this Monday.. I want to thank you ladies so much stopping by and taking a look.. If you get min, stop by Generations crafting  for inspiration from the talented ladies of the design team..

They used to do their nightly tickel routine and then off to bed it went.. I miss those days.. He's 17 now and its not like I can just walk up to him and blow on his tummy...LOL
so, here is the little layout I created this week.. I love Elmo.. I actually bought the boys a tickel me elmo, still have stashed away.. I just dont' have any photos of them playing with it..

I think the little elmos came out super cute.. :O)
