Paperikierteen Askartelu Haaste

Here's a layout I did today for another challenge. Using Purple, blue and Yellow as suggested. also the matting underneath the picture has yellow and blue side by side, unfortunatley I wasn't going to use such a big picture, but it ended up covering the matting.
hei.

Little Miss Troublemaker

Here's my clutter.. "sillisalaatti" to say in finnish. which was the topic of the challenge.
I have a hard time just throwing stuff on a page, but I did use up the whole page like I should have and I did cut up pictures, but had to line them straight, instead of cluttering them all out the page..LOL this layout will be going into my daughters(who is now 20yrs old) album. I think this is cute and I know she will love it. The little teddy bear head is hand made..
*This was mentioned on the Cricut Chirp Highlight
Terkkuja kaikille..

kortti Haaste #50/challenge #50

Card challenge #50.
I made this card with my best friend in mind. We both love primitive country crafts and so, I used that as my inspiration for the card. I used K&co classic k Margo paper stack , which I love the patterns and the colors. a lot of chalking and inking was involved in the making of this card, but looking at the end results, it was well worth the effort.
I measured the card at 8"x6" and cut 8 3"x2" pieces of cardstock. I inked and chalked all the pieces and then placed them on top of the card. I cut 3", 2.5" and 1" hearts in 4 different colors, inked and chalked them and then layered them. Adding the stitching with a black marking pen. i cut branches at 2" and 3", inking and chalking them and then adding liquid pearl drops.
I also inked and chalked the letters, adding a little dimension. hearts are all stuck with 3d tape squares. I also cut .5" border around the edge of the card attaching the corners with button brads, which I thought was a cute finish to the card.
Kortti Haaste #50
Tein tämän kortin parhaalle kaverilleni. Me molemmat rakastetaan amerikallaista primitive stailia.

B-day card-Male

I made this card today for my cousins husband who will be turning 40 in a few weeks.
He loves fishing, and so thats why I thought of the fisherman relaxing. Every thing on this card is cut by hand except for the sun and blurbs. I love the little worm hanging free on the hook, I think thats a cute little accent to this card. Now, I just hope he likes it..
I have put all of this card together with 3d tape squares to give it more demension.

Hei..
Toi pieni mato on paras..
Update: I gave the card yesterday and he loved it.. didn't believe me when I said I had hand cut everything..

Brother!

My scrapbook layout for today.. I'm getting them done like hot cakes..
I made this for a friend who has 3 little boys, Aarni, Urho and Pyry..
I hope she likes it. Its a bit out of my style of layouts, but I like the colors. they are nice and bold.
I added a little disney since I associate disney with little kids. It makes the layout "not so serious."

Päivän skräppi sivu on taas valmis.

Rustic

Daily Layout.. Done! I love primative country crafts and I really wanted to try and see how it would look on a layout.. I like it, I like it a lot. I made a small picture frame of the big one only because your photo (if you added one) will cover the nice heart.
I love those 3d stars.. I will have to make more of those in the future..
so, now for finnish version of this tale tell story..LOL
Terkkuja kaikille..
Ihanaa olla vapaa päivällä ja skräpätä.. :D Tässä on tämän päivän tehtäväni. Rakastan sydämeni pohjasta amerikkalaista rustikkia (primitive country). :D

Card challenge#49

Yeah! I know what your thinking... HUH?...and crap! I just realized the paper is the wrong way..gosh darn it! Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.. Hope fully I won't be disgualified for that tiny mistake on my part.. Can I use "I'm a blonde!" as an excuse..<--- I can't believe I just said that out loud.
I think this card is great and the greeting is to "die" for...LOL oh how I crack myself up.. :D
this card could be for an ex boyfriend, who you hate or your very best friend, who would understand that it was a joke..
I also added a close up photo so you can see that its all layered with 3d tape squares.
Terkkuja kaikille.
tässä haaste korttini. Halusin jotain erillaista. ensi kerralla sitten kukkia :D

Haaste #47/ Challenge #47

cleaning- siivous
I did not want to make a traditional "clean your room" type of layout.. I wanted to step out of the norm and make something a bit different. As I was cleaning my work area last night, I found this pic of my husband and I said to myself "well, don't you clean up good!".. and that's where the layout got its start.. My husband tends to grow himself out (beard and hair) during the winter months and then when it come spring, he cuts it and shaves it off..
I also wanted to emphasize on that word "clean", which was the whole topic of this challenge.
I attached a few close ups as well, so you can see the small detail.

Hei kaikille.

Birthday card 3d-purse

I had a BLAST making this 3d purse card.. I made my own purse pattern and then cut it from black heavy cardstock, cut the pictures from BoBunny papers and used stickle for all the BLING! The top of the card opens up so it can be used as a gift box as well.
"Onnea" means congrats.. :D
hei!

5 Layouts done, only 15 more to go...

Here's the Bridal Layout for the wedding album I'm working on..
After working on this layout all week, I am FINALLY finished.
I hand made all the embellishments, except the corner pieces. The title was cut using the cricut.
Here's also a close up of the bouguet, dress and veil.
The matting for the photo is cut for a 5"X7" photo.
and then the finnish version.....
Ja sitten suomen kielen versio...
Hää albuumiin morsian sivu.. Kaikki koristeet ovat käsin tehtyjä paitsi kulma korut ovat ostettu Sinellistä. Tämän sivun koko on 30.5 x 30.5 ja kuvan paikka on leikattu 12.7 x 17.8 kokoiselle kuvalle.

Haaste #46/Challenge #46

I recently discovered a Finnish Blog that has challenges on it.. I fell in instant love with that blog. So, the first challenge was "looking up".. I thought these pics of my kids walking "up" the big hill and then comeing down was approriate. If you look real close to the middle picture, there are little tiny people standing on the top of that hill waiting to slide down..LOL
I used light blue and white card stock for the base, which I inked and chalked. I then had HOTP vacation paper set that had some winter papers in it. I cut the arrows by hand and all the lettering was cut using the Provo Cricut elect. dye cutter using the All mixed Up font cartridge. I also added a few blue crystal brads and a little bit baby blue stickle to the edges of the snow flakes (hard to see the glitter in this picture, sorry!)
I would rewrite all of this Finnish, but I just have a hard time writeing it.
Puhun kyllä hyvää suomea. :D että rohkeasti vaan kommentteja.

Wedding layout-maid of honor

I really love this layout I made today. I hand pieced the dress and bouquet, the title is cut with the cricut using Opposites Attract cartridge. I did a lot shadowing and inking on the layout. Its deffinatley a girly layout. This will be for the maid-of-honor, which is "Kaaso"in finnish. I will be adding a tag on there for the bride to be able to journal all the important information, like the name of her maid of honor, the date, etc..
The colors appear a lot darker than they are.. I used very light creams and light pinks. most of the papers are silk papers, which were kind of difficult to work with. I did use stickle a lot to give it a little bit of a bling effect.

Hand made gnome

This I created cause I just had way to much time on your hands. this is the start to my layout.. I dont' know exactly what I plan on doing with these guys, but plan on doing a lot more.. need more houses and gnomes. I drew everything on paper and then cut them by hand. the gnome is put together with 3d tape squares. I love his little hat. The butterfly's are stickers that I adhered to a thicker vellum, cut them out and then added a little stickle to them. the beard looks a bit funny on the gnome, but I think the next one, the beard will be on the side of the face as well, but not covering those adorable ears. I think it will all look better once it's on the layout.

Groom and Best Man

Here is the two page LO completly finished. I like it! Im very happy with the end result, now I just hope my co-worker will be. I plan on showing this to her tomorrow.

the matting is only 4"x6" on the best man.

I know it looks black and white.. but, Its gray, blue , silver and metallic blue flowers.. the vest, tophat and tie's are black.

My first Wedding Layout.

This is the first wedding layout that I have done. A co-workers son is getting married this summer and she asked if I would be intersted in making an album for them. my answer was "Hell yeah, I'm interested!".. I was just doodling around last night and this morning to get a general idea of what I wanted. I haven't used stickle before, but I tried it for the first time on this LO, just for accent. I also bought some pink crystal embellishments and will be using those as well, cause I like the way they look..

It does look unfinished cause theirs no pictures yet, but all in all, Im very pleased. The colors in the photo aren't that clear, but its mostly mauve and light pink. I did use some pink paper from the Luxury stack by DCWV, pink vellum and some cream colored embossed papers I had purchased. OH!.. "RAKAS" means "loved one!" I wanted to make this all in finnish, so it would be personalised for the bride.. and my finnish is real rusty..

My Family 1978

I really wanted an antique type of look.. I love the color combo on black, white, gray and a little bit of light pink. These pics were taken in the 70's so they are kind of bland, I did want to add a little color and I thought since they were my pictures, that I should add a little pink.

Nicks Girls.

I found some pictures of my nieces when they were small. We have Krisitiina, Jasmine and Paulina (aka Minttu). I loved making this LO. I liked useing the spring colors to match the time of season (easter). all of the flowers were cut using the cricut George cart..

Crocodile Hunter

My little crocodile hunter. We were visiting the zoo in Helsinki which is named "korkeasaari!" meaning high island.. Theirs a statue of a wooden crocodile in one of the lobbies and my youngest wanted to lay on top of it.. It was deffinatley a kodak moment.
this layout was one of my first attempts using the cricut elec.dye cutter..

Adam! The Crier.

My youngest son, Adam cried a lot when he was a baby.. I wasn't allowed to leave the room and leave him behind. looking back at his pictures now, I just get a giggle. I love these pics of him..

He isn't a crier anymore, now at the age 14.. He's a sweetheart!

Rock God.

Aarons (my oldest son ) spring festival perfomance at their school in 2006. He was so good..

Aaron's 1st Xmas

This is one of those early cricut LO I had done a few years ago. I really like this picture and so I wanted to keep the LO simple.

He's such a cutie!

March 5, 2009

I had some portraits taken of my daughter when she turned 1 yr old. it was a double picture (one whole and then one side profile in the corner) which got wet and ruined. I was able to cut the little corner picture (side profile) and use it for a layout. I love the Once Upon a Time papers.. they are great. I'm not completly happy with this layout. I keep thinking its either missing something or it has too much of something..
This is a layout of my grand parents. I used the George basic shapes cart to cut all of the flowers, using different papers. I also used Tim Holtz grungeboard for the latches. and a little journaling (which Im not good at) on the side.

mike the man..

I loved these pictures of my husband. The expression on his face is priceless. My best friend knows how much I like to cook and bake, so she had bought me some chef's embellishments. I cut all of the foundation and lettering for the layout with my cricut. I then added the photos and embellishments. I think even hubby liked this layout. I did actually re-do the original layout, from a single page to a double.

Most likely 2

I had a real hard time making this layout. This is my oldest son Aaron (age15). He's not a little kid anymore, so I didn't want to make the layout too childish. But, since I am a bit of a silly mom, I did want to make it a bit silly. Aaron playes guitar and loves compute games, so I wanted to incorporate those into the layout. He also loves to torture his teacher, so I added that in there as well..
hope you enjoy this layout and maybe you can get an idea or two for your own layout.

Top Chef in the baking..

Afte spending hours and hours on this layout.. I am finally very happy with the end result.. I giggled a lot while making the layout.. I think the cookies are good enough to eat..
My youngest son loved helping me in the kitchen. we were making chocolate chip cookies for daddy.
