Beautiful-photo frame-CE daily

Hi fellow crafters.. I'm here to share a photo frame I altered as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using a black photo frame, chipboard elements and some flowers..
Here is my photo frame:
she is my beautiful sister in law who passed away a year ago from cancer..
She was only 46 years old and has 3 beautiful children..

I wanted to incorporate things she loved to my picture frame and dragon flies were one of her all time favorites..

and of course the title phrase "Beautiful" is a perfect touch to my frame..
I also added some flowers and a few butterflies, along with a metal key, because she collected keys of all shapes and sizes..

That is my design team project for today..
Thank you for stopping by today and taking a look at my project..
till next time..
Hugs

Family canvas-CE daily

Hi fellow crafters..
It's Nanné here to share a 6x6 canvas that is truly a close to my heart project which I created as my design team project for todays  Creative embellishments' post :)   I used lots of fun mixed media style goodies along with chippies from the Creative Embellishments store.
Here is the canvas I created:

There are many reasons why we create the things we do and for my canvas, I thought of my mom who recently passed away.. Have you ever heard of the saying " if you whisper I love you to a butterfly it will fly up to heaven and say it to your loved ones!"? well, this is just that.. this little butterfly is holding a scroll of "I love you's" for my mom..

How about some close ups and details of my canvas:

I added lots of stenciling to my background and just some subtle stamping using the Distressed Crackle stamp and some brown Archival ink.

I added white gesso and paint to the chipboard elements an for the wings of the butterly, I also added diamond stickles, so they really have a nice shimmer to them

I also used some 7 Dots papers for the background before adding all of my goodies to the canvas.. All of the flower and leaves are by I am roses..
Thank you for stopping by today and checking out my project..
Till next time
Hugs

Large mixed media tag-CEdaily

I'm here to share a large tag I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using some left over corrugated cardboard I found in my stash..
My tag measures 8 3/4 by 4 1/4 which I added lots of mixed media goodies to :)
Here is what I created:
I am always inspired by the things around me and the inspiration behind this tag is my home, where my friends and family are always welcome, so I decided to create a tag to replicate the door to my home..
These tags are so great to create because it gives you an opportunity to use up some of those left over pieces you might have from previous projects.. I ended up using lots of little bits and pieces that I had left over and was able to create a fun art project..

I added our house number, with a door knob and key to the tag along with lots of other chipboard elements.. All of the chipboard elements were painted with white gesso and some were painted white with acrylic paint.

I added some texture paste to my background which I actually heat embossed using Rangers rust heat embossing powder, rubbed with gold Inka gold paint and finally I dry brushed it with white gesso..  I used some of Prima's Rust effect paste on the chipboard piping, which I then used some black ink on the edges and finally dry brushed it with white gesso..

and lastly,  added little details by adding the ribbon on the bottom of my tag, art stones here and there, a little ribbon bow and of course the flowers and leaves, which are by I am roses..
thank you for stopping by today and checking out my project..
Till next time
