Laughing with Prima Sun Kiss

Happy Monday fellow scrappers.. I'm so delighted to share with you a layout I created over the weekend using some of my Prima Sun Kiss papers and flowers to match.. I also dipped into my stash of flowers and used some of those as well.. Just goes to show how versatile this collection is..  I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again " I love the blues !" in the collection..LOL  and I promise next Mondays project will not be blue..LOL

and with those famous last words, here is my project:

I had a lot of fun creating this layout , using different techniques that I've learned through out my creative years..LOL  I recently figured out how you can use your corner punch to create a beautiful border around your circle.. super simple!  I distressed all of the edges of my papers by using Ranger distress ink: Brushed Corduroy.

How about some close ups:

Love the whites and browns.. Has to be one of my all time favorite color combinations
You can also see the two chipboard hearts I created and distressed with an emory board.

Decided to go with one of the chipboard elements that came in
this collection.. I thought the blue and browns went well with the color theme..
I also wanted to add the year these photos were taken, so grabbed some of the alpha stickers
that came the collection and stuck those down a little tab I created.

I love to cluster flowers.. I really love the colors I chose to work with
for this layout.. adding just a few pops of blue..

I made some chipboard hearts which I tucked in behind some of
the flowers. I did some sanding on the edges of the hearts to distress them a bit
differently than using ink.

side view of how the flowers just pop off of the page..

The blues roses and the brown daisy came in this Prima Sun Kiss collection,
as well as the bigger leaves..

All righty then fellow scrappers..That's my Monday post for the last week of June..
Do stop by Your Memories Here and check what a wonderful line of products they carry.
I've certainly had a blast with my Prima Bag and I'm sure you would too :)
Hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week..

Little Cupcake- SOUS Sketch reveal

Well fellow scrappers, its officially the first Friday of the summer..LOL  We here in Finland are celebrating our Midnight sun this weekend, meaning the sun will not set for 24 hours.. Since I live down south, we actually get 3 to 4 hours of darkness every night and yes, its really hard to get used to it..LOL
ok..so anyway, us girls over SOUS are having our sketch reveal today and we have an original sketch by our very own Sandi Clarkson.. I had a lot of fun with this one..
and so, here is my take on our sketch:

the story behind the layout, My daughter turned 23 in May and we made a bunch of cupcakes for her birthday party and her dad started calling her "cupcake!" after that.. So, I thought it was a fun way to capture that moment.. The photo is of her on her 4th birthday, she is showing off her mermaid..LOL

and for some close ups:

I pop dotted all of the die cuts on this layout, lots layers..

Make a Wish

Happy Monday fellow scrappers.. Its NannĂ© again and I wanted to share a layout I created using some of the Prima Sun Kiss papers I got from my grab bag..  I am a very cheap scrapper and I try to get the most out of my papers and embellishments.. So, I decided to use the 12x12 printed background, adding small pieces of paper to accent and then went with adding white cardstock as the main color.. I was trying to keep this layout white and blue, by adding white and blue flowers..LOL

so, here is my layout:

I also did some edge punching with one of my favorite edge punches by MS..
How about a few close ups:

I also cut up one of the notecards that came in the collection and used only the scalloped edges, tucking them behind the paper..

I love these big white Alabaster roses.. I added some white liquid pearl to the edges of it..

I used light blue Hydrangeas by Prima..
adding baby blue liquid pearl to the edges and Prima E-Line crystals to the centers..
the alpha stickers came in the paper collection.

and finally my title.. I cut it using my Cricut and Hello Kitty cartridge.. adding some white liquid pearl drops to accent and some punched butterflies out of the coordinating papers..
plus, I added a chipboard journaling sticker and then added some of the other alphabet stickers that also came in this collection.. I'm not good when it comes to journaling, so I was pleased with myself that I got the "you are 4" on there..LOL

Cricut cartridges used:

Hello Kitty: title "WISH"
Life's a Beach: leaves

Alrighty then fellow scrappers.. that's my Monday post this week.. Do stop by Your Memories Here and check out the amazing deals Kristina has on the Prima grab bags.. They are filled to the rim with all kinds of goodies for LOTS of different projects..
Okey dokey.. I hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week..

Celebrating Fathers- SOUS die cut reveal

Hello fellow Crafters..
Us girls over at Stuck On U Sketches are having out Die Reveal today and this time Sandi chose "CELEBRATE FATHERS!"..  Because I'm a silly wife and mother, I decided to create a silly father's day gift for my hubby.. He is a beer drinking man and I thought to create a six pack carrier for him as a gift.. but, since I cut it all from chipboard and pieced it together with glue, I'm sure its more for decoration than actual use..

It was a lot of fun to create and so, here it is:

I cut the beer bottles using my Create-a-Critter cartridge.. They are actually the Milk bottles, I just shrunk them a bit and stretched them using my Cricut Craftroom sofware.. The bottles ended up being not finished, since I did the update for CCR and my Imagine stopped working properly after that..
I will however, some how get the BEER text onto the bottles eventually..

here are a few close ups:

The tag I actually designed on CCR and just printed it.  Then cut it with my paper trimmer.. It was super fun and simple.. I actually have a tutorial posted on the right hand side of my blog's side bar for a tutorial on how you can create an original sentiment tag and just print it.

for supplies used:

Cricut Imagine
Cricut Craftroom design software

Imagine Cartridge:  Kate's Kitchen

Original Cartridges:

George and Basic Shapes:
squares (tag), stars and bottle labels

Old West:

She's All That-DT project

First day of summer vacation and how sweet it was to start it off by creating a cute little layout as my DT project for Your Memories Here.. Have I said how much I love the new Prima Sun Kiss collection? These are so my colors, so soft.. The blue papers are my very favorite, reminds me of a my daughter as a little girl wearing that cute little summer dress..

Here is my layout:

All of the flowers came in my grab bag and I have lots more to choose from..
Plus, the cute little wooden trinket also came with the collection..

How about some close ups:

Love the distressed edges on these flowers that came in the sun kiss grab bag, the tiny yellow Fairytale roses are also from Prima but did not come in this collection..

I used my MS edge punch and Ranger distress ink (Brushed Corduroy)on the edges to give the layout an aged look..
plus, lots of white liquid pearl drops..

This is such a cute little wooden tag.. I glued it down using Helmar's quick drying glue..

I was unable to print photos to this layout cause my printer is out of pink ink..LOL  I have plans on raiding my daughters facebook photos this evening.. What are moms for right?..LOL

Well fellow scrappers.. That's my Monday post for this week.. Do stop by Your Memories Here and check out the new prima 2012 collections.. They are stunning and I am loving mine..
I want to thank you all for stopping by today and checking out what I have created..
