Love is a Journey card - PPPR reveal

Another Wednesday reveal for us girls over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon and for this week I decided to create a fun Valentines Day card..  I used some fun cuts in fun colors to get the pink card I was going for :)
and you'll never believe which cutting files I used..LOL

so, here is the card I created:

Cute aye?..
The car is actually from the Christmas Car cutting file, just made it pink and added the black lines for detail by doing the internal offset in the SIL software..

How about a few close ups and details on how I created this card:

The hearts are from the Warm Cocoa Cutting file.. I just printed them onto the car window, then added baby pink Stickles to them along with some dots to the car for a little bling..

For the clouds, I used the muffin tops (yes, you read that right) from the Breakfast Sweets Cutting file, also adding the black trim using the internal offset feature in the SIL software and those little hearts are from the Warm Cocoa Cutting file ..

The flowers, stems and grass are from the Flower Assortment Cutting file and the background is from the Layered labels cutting file. I added some faux stitching to the edge with the SIL software..

Loving these flowers from the Flower Assortment cutting file..
I inked the edges with pink ink and then added some baby pink stickles..

and I love these banners, they are from the Sentiment Spots Cutting File.. This one I also added the black trim to the inside with internal offset and added my text before printing and cutting....
I also added a lot of layers by using Foam tape.. Just bought some cheap stuff from the hardware store since I didn't have to worry about it being acid free etc..

and there ya have my Valentines Day card..
This card was so much fun to create and I love taking cutting files and using them in weird ways..LOL
But its what I love to do, always trying to see outside of the box :)

Project Life-Week2-Embossing-SOUS

Excited its Monday?.. me neither..LOL  But I do love Mondays cause I get to share a Project Life spread with you..
So, this weeks challenge over at SOUS is to add embossing to your spread.. I decided to grab the little green monster (cuttlebug) and my Swiss Dots embossing folder and emboss a few cards and one tag..  I don't have photos on here yet cause my printer is low on ink, I'll probably end up sending my photos out to print and then add them to this spread..

and speaking of, here is what I created:
Wanted to show case how cold it was here and then my what I baked.. My pets are also going to be on this spread.. The older dog is going on the My Buddy mat, young pup is going on the Cuddle Monkey photo mat and then our cat is going on the "The thief"..LOL  I caught our cat stealing cheese doodles and before shooing him away, I HAD to take a photo..LOL

How about a few close ups:

The left side.. I embossed the long skinny card in the middle with the photo mat..

and the right..
I embossed the card behind the photo mat on the bottom right and the pink tag which I'll probably add a photo to as well..

I also added some glossy accents and baby pink stickles to the spread..

a bit blurry, but wanted to get an extreme close up of the glossy accents..

I also added some to the roses on this paper and then pink stickles to the spoon and bowl..

and don't forget we have an amazing sponsor for the month of January and submitting to any of our January challenges makes you eligible to be added to the drawing to win it..

They are sharing 2 amazing Tim Holtz stencils (which are all
the rage right now, such amazing things to do with stencils!)
and 2 super huge Project Life card sets (each containing 60 cards!)

for supplies used to create my project:

Silhouette Cameo

Friendship mini-Die cut reveal SOUS

Happy Friday fellow scrappers..
Us girls over at SOUS are having out die cut reveal today and we have a theme this week of  "Something to wear!".. So, this gave me the perfect opportunity to get a mini album made for a little girl that my daughter became friends with at the stable where she kept her horse.. The horse has been put down about a month ago cause of his age and his legs got so bad he had a hard time getting around :(  It was a very sad day that day..
But my daughter still visits that stable, takes care of horses for others and has made lots of friends.. She came over one day with a little girl she had met there and she was really interested in my scrapbooking and I told Amber that I could make her a little mini album where she could keep the photos of her and her horse..
and so with that said, here is my mini:

I have edited these photos in photoshop cause its so dark here in Finland still.. The day's are starting to be lighter longer, but still we are covered in grey clouds with no sun shine.. depressing really...

Winter Blog Hop-PPPR and 3 Girl Jam

Welcome to our Winter Blog Hop and you should of arrived here from Georgiana's Blog.  If you just stopped by and want to join the fun, please go HERE to get all of the information and the blog hop line up..
Us girls were asked to create a Winter themed project using die cuts from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon and then combine with ribbons we received from 3 Girl Jam..

I decided to create a layout and used some of my all time favorite Echo Park papers, some blue crinkle ribbon I got from 3 Girl Jam and then made some flowers and snow flakes with some of the cute cutting files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon..

I found a faux snow tutorial from Tim Holtz and decided to give that a try and covered the white flowers and snow flakes with some of the faux snow.. It has an amazing glitter effect to it..

How about some close ups:

Added some string of pearls to trim..
It just looked like it needed a little something around the page and I decided to add a large background and found that in the Layered Labels cutting file..

The fuax snow dries rock solid.. No way to get it off of the flowers and speaking of flowers,  I found my flowers and leaves in the Flower Assortment cutting file..

Love the color of this blue ribbon.
It's the Ice Blue from the "Hot and Cold Bundle" from the 3 Girl Jam store.

I used some of the Doilies that are  now available in the PPPR store and the snowflakes are all from the Winter Wonderland cutting file..

Love this Winter Wonderland title phrase.
Three different layers to it, so you can play with how you want the colors..

We have awesome blog candy for you to win:

$20.00 Gift Card to 3 Girl JAM

Snow Angel-SOUS sketch reveal

TGIF!!  Its another sketch reveal for us ladies over at S.O.U.S and today's sketch was designed by our very own and very talented Leah..   Once again I had a blast coming up with a cute design and putting some of those adorable die cuts to good use I've been hoarding from the SIL store..LOL

Here is my take on Leah's sketch:
The photos are of my eldest son Aaron (age 20) and his girlfriend Mari.. They've been together for a long time and she has become a part of our family ..

and here is the sketch:

and he is my design using the SIL software.. I love being able to play with prints and colors right with the software.. Seeing the layout come to life :)
As you can see in the design, I was able to add the faux stitching right onto the cuts.. Now to just print and then cut edge.. Super easy and what a great way to make the lines straight..LOL

and how about some close ups:

Aaaaaw..  :)

and for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette design edition

Canon Pixma printer
White cardstock

Digital paper Kit: Collecting Memories
(Sweet Shoppe Designs)

Snow in Love with you-PPPR reveal

Its another reveal for us ladies over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon and for this week, I decided to go with a winter layout and going to hunt down some photos of either my daughter and her boyfriend or my son and his girlfriend..LOL  The choices are endless now a days..LOL
For this layout, I used a few different cut files cause you know how I am, I have to add a little of everything to my projects LOL

I absolutely fell in love with the cut little snowman from the "Snow Much Fun" cutting file.  The little girl and boy are on that file as well.  The tree is from the "Forest  Critters" cutting file, the word "Snow" is from the "Let it Snow" cutting file, the heart is from the "Hot Cocoa" cutting file and finally the Snowflakes are from the "Snow Flakes" cutting file..

How about some close ups to help you get a better view of the details:

I welded a bunch of small snowflakes together to create the border, which is the same snowflake as the larger one.. I used the knife tool in the SIL software to first cut it in half, then sized them all to my liking :)  The large circular arrow I created myself..

My handsome snowman with this top hat.. He came out great!! I grouped the eyes, mouth and buttons onto the white head and body, printing those only and cutting around edge.. Perfect!!  The title "Snow" is from the "Let it Snow" cutting file.. Great way to just use a word here or there from various files  :)
Added some grey pearl halves to just add a little detail..

I did the same for the girl, I printed the face and cut everything else.. She came out so super cute an dlove the layers of her clothing..  She is in the "Snow Much Fun!" cutting file..   For the tree, I wanted a snowy look, so decided to make the bark grey and the tree top cream  :)

and this cute little guy.. I accidentally did his pants wrong..LOL  The inside leg should of been dark grey and outside the print, but oh well.. It happens..LOL  But he turned out super cute with his clothes and that facial expression is priceless...
For the banner, I created that myself and used some fun fonts..

and there ya have it fellow scrappers, my project for our reveal over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon..
Do stop by and check out what amazing projects the rest of our design team has created for todays reveal..
Till next time; hope you have a scrap-tastic week
