Fall cutie-CE reveal

Hi fellow scrappers..
I'm here sharing a cute fall themed layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using a few photos from last Autumn and of course, some of my all time favorite chippies.. This little girl is such a little "fall cutie" posing for these photos and I was very eager to get the photos onto a layout..

Here is what I created:
I used the Distresses Text stamp and a few stencils with some Distress Oxides to create my background.  I wanted to create lots of layers, so used corrugated cardboard on the backs of my papers and some of the chipboard elements.  This will give my layout strength once its placed in the sleeve of my scrapbook album.

I've always loved these cute pumpkins in the CE shop, I lightly covered them gesso, using a make up sponge, dabbing the gesso lightly not to get it into the grooves. Once it dried, I used distress oxides to color them. starting with a wild honey, then adding rusty hinge and finally a little fired brick. The stem is Vintage photo.

Because fall is my favorite time of the year, due to the amazing colors you find in nature, I love coloring fall themed elements on my projects, like the leaves.. I once again used Distress Oxides and sponge daubers to color them, adding white detail with a gel pen.

This photo is to show the layering.. It all just pops off of the page in a way..
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my layout..

till next time

Tag shaped mini album-CE reveal

Hi fellow scrappers...
I'm here today to share a cute little tag shaped mini album I created as my design team project for Creative embellishments to hold some photos of my grand daughter and the fun we had this summer with her.. By the way, she really like the mini album when I showed it to her :)
Here is my tag shaped mini album:
This was a quick and super fun project.. I was also able to use lots of my mini dies to add tiny shapes, like the hearts, stars, circles, banners and flowers to add those little details that we love when it comes to mini albums..
I used a Project life app that I have on my phone to print tiny photos using my photo printer,  which I then cut the photos out of the photo paper using my circle and square dies.. worked perfectly..
The papers I used are by Simple Stories, I also used lots of the stickers that came with the collection along with some of the images that I fussy cut from the papers.. I wanted to show case the front cover and found this small Polaroid frame, painted it white and then used the distressed script stamp and some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides to stamp a little print on it..
I had used these photos on a prior project I had created, but they are some of my favorite photos so had to re-use them on this cute little project.  As you can see, using some little banner, hearts and arrows, I was able to add lots fun little details to my pages..
Of course I had to use "her first summer hot dog" photos in this mini album..LOL   I also ended up using the tag as a template and cut out a tag out of corrugated cardboard along with the arrow, cause I wanted to used some more stickers and word art from the collection..
I decided to use a binder ringer that I found in my stash along with some peachy pink fun twine.
and there is my super fun and quick tag shaped mini album for today design team reveal..
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my project..  Till next time.
Hugs

The Perfect Day

Hi fellow scrappers..
I'm here today to share my layout for today's design team reveal for Creative Embellishments.. I wanted to create a playful title and a whimsy layout, so this is what I came up:

I used some of my favorite papers by Bo Bunny (Country Garden collection), which has a lot of details in the papers. I also used a brick background stencil, some distress ink and distress oxides for the edge details..

I knew I wanted to used these Arched doors on my layout.. I played around with the placement and then realized I could add my title sentiment on top of it to create my fun playful title for my layout..

I used some of the flowers from the new Daisy set, used distress oxides to color them and then added a few yellow nuvo drops to the middle. I also felt like it needed a little touch of detail, so I used the Moroccan lattice panel, just cutting off a few bits and pieces so I could the rest of it on another project.   The leaves are a metal die that I have in stash, along with the large hand made flowers on my layout.. The tiny blue flowers is a punch..

and what kind of grand mother would I be if I didn't add a close up of my little cutey pie..LOL

I did used both of the Fronds from the frond set, used them as leaves, adding flowers to them.
and that is my design team project for todays reveal..

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project..

Till next time..
