Count your blessings -ce daily

Hi fellow scrappers..
I'm here to share a cute little layout I created of my daughter and grand baby as my design team project for Creative Embellishments.. Absolutely love this photo and I wanted to create a special layout to put it on..

Here is what I created:

I used some older Country Garden papers by Bo Bunny, which I inked the sides with red and blue distress ink, added some stamping and then rubbed white paint through a stencil.

I added two hearts next to the photo, one larger and other smaller.  those represent mom and baby.. I also wanted to add a pretty border on the bottom of the photo and this Lace Border was absolutely perfect, which I painted it white and then went over with a Nuvo glitter gloss pen to give it some shimmer, which unfortunately is really difficult to see in the photo.

For the top of the layout, I added the title and then the tucked the top of the bird cage into the ripped part of the paper. adding some pretty flowers that match the colors of my layout and tucking in some pretty leaf flourish, which I also covered in the Nuvo Glitter pen.

for the bird cage I added,
Tucking in some flowers and hanging off some flourish pieces.. I absolutely love this bird cage, I wish I had glued the part back on that I cut off, to make it look like the door was flipped open ..  The butterflies came with the paper set..
Thank you for stopping by today and checking out my layout.. till next time.

Flourish layout-CE daily

Hi fellow scrappers...
I'm here to share a baby layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using some of the stamps and chipboard elements from the Creative Embellishments store..

Here is the layout I created:

I used photos of my little grand daughter for this layout.  I did not want to use the usual pinks just because she is a girl, so I went with creams, tans and light blues.. I really like how the layout turned out..

How about few close ups and some details:

I used the word "Flourish" from the Flourish word set..
I covered it with heavy white gesso, then painted it using white craft paint and finally rubbing the bottom of the letters with Tumbled Glass distress ink, which is the blue ink that I also used on the edges of my layout.

I cut the Retro square panel into several pieces and then applied heavy white gesso to them.. I then mixed some yellow and brown paint together, painting the squares and finally dry brushing them with the white gesso to soften the colors.

for other items I used on my layout, flowers and leaves by I am roses, white cardstock for the base, Distress ink and Mélange art pebbles. thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout design..

 Till next time
 Hugs Nanné

By the Sea mini album

Hi fellow scrappers..
I'm here to share a cute little mini album I created as my design team project for Creative embellishments, using the passport journal cover..  I think its absolutely the perfect size for a cute little memory keeper..

Here is what I created:
For the cover, because I wanted it a bit thicker, I created the spine out of some spare chipboard I had..This way I got 1.5" thickness and was able to add lots of fun pages to the inside of the album.  I also decorated the front using the fishnet panel, anchor, flowers, leaves and some cheesecloth.
The papers I used are by Graphic 45..

How about some closeups:

When you flip the album open these are the first pages you see.. I love that lady on the beach and I wanted to keep her whole. I was able to cut the paper into two pieces and layer them onto the flip tabs I had created on that page..

When you flip the flaps, this is what you see.. its us boarding the ship.. The weather wasn't all that great and it was a bit windy, but we all stood outside on the deck and watched the ship go out to sea..

This is the next page.. some photos of my hubby and then added lots of pockets on the other page to add photos to.. I had so many photos that it was hard to choose which ones to add and which ones to leave out, so those pockets came in handy to hold all of those photos..

and finally the last page of the album.. more photos and I used one of the anchors for the page with my hubby on it.. went perfectly with that saying and then for the back page, I just added a pocket.. I will be doing some journaling on a later date to go with all of the pictures I added.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my mini..
Till next time
