Coupon Organizer-Gift

Well ladies.. Tomorrow is the big day.. I will be on a plane for 15 hours on my way to the windy city, Chicago Illinois.. Most of  my husband's family live in Dubuque, Iowa, so were flying up north and then renting a car and driving 3.5 hrs to Iowa.. We will be staying there from Fri-Monday and then driving all the way down to Florida where we will then stay for almost two weeks visiting friends and family..
So, that is where this cute little organizer comes in.. I made this for my sister-in-law who loves collecting and using coupons..I did too when I lived in Florida, but in Finland we dont' have any coupons.. :(
I seen this amazing video on Youtube by an amazingly talented lady named Laura at Follow the Paper Trail.. she has a tutorial on an organizer and I knew from the minute my eyes popped out of my head and I began to drool, that I had to give this a try..LOL
I did add my own twist to the organizer.. along with the two coupon pockets, I added tags to them, added a flap for a checkbook and other side of the flap is a place for a note pad.. then I added pockets to hold her B-Jays  membership card, debit card and cash..  Cause from what I remember, she doesn't use a purse only a wallet..
I thought to add a clear covered pocket for a drivers license, but I ran out of room :(
well, here is my Coupon Organizer:

This measures 5" x 7" and I used a Tim Holtz Hitch Fastner for the closure, which I have a black hair band holding it together.. Iam going to buy a white one before I give it to her.. just didn't have any in my stash..Grrrr..
and since this is for my sister-in-law, it has her name on there..just so there is no mistaking who its too..LOL
is that blurry or is it just me?  sorry about that..
as you open up the organizer, you can see the check book will slide into place on this side of the flap and then you can see the pockets for the coupons.. I have labeled them all in alphabetical order, but I know some of the items are missing since I only had room for 5 tabs on each side..  There is also the membership card pocket here for her and I have my Winn Dixie card in there just so I knew what size to make it.. I wasnt sure if the cards here and there were the same size, but they seem to be :)
Here is the view of the other coupon pockets along with the little pockets to hold her debit card and cash.. and there is a place on the flap for a small note pad to slide into place so she can write down her list of things to buy.. BUT!! I didn not have room for a pen holder..Grrrrr :)

and just a real close up of the pockets and tags..

Supplies used for this organizer:

chipboard: 1 sheet measuring 10"x13" that I cut into two  5"x7" pieces and one  3/4" x 7"

Family Layout - Prima

Hi ladies... Here is another Prima inspired layout I created as my design team project for Your Memories Here.. I used lots of sheer ribbon and tattered angles to glitter up a doily, can't forget my string of pearls either...LOL
I'm not much of an edge puncher, but wanted to add a little elegance to this layout and so grabbed my favorite edge punch by MS and went to town.. I luv how this layout came out. <-- I tend to say that a lot..LOL

and for a few close ups of the layout:
I luv these big white Prima Alabaster Flower.. They go so well with everything and being that they are white, you can spritz them with tattered angels glimmer mist and add a whole new look to your layout..
my pink hydrangeas, which I seem to have a lot of  LOL  and can't forget this amazing lace trim that was just so much fun to work with and adds another elegant touch of detail to the layout..

and for supplised used:

My own stash:
Doily, sheer ribbon, liquid pearl:white, string of pearls, MS around the edge punch & Edge distress tool..

From Your Memories Here:

there you go ladies.. I hope this layout inspires you to want to make one of your own.. nothing very difficult about it, just lots of different size and colored flowers clustered together and those Prima Leaves, just add that last bit of detail.. luv them!!
thnx for stopping today and remember,
Hope everyone has a wonderfully creative week.

Dream Big- Die Cut Challenge-SKY

TGIF Ladies!! us girls over at SOUS started our Die Cut challenges the Friday before last and this week's challenge theme is "SKY".. I wanted to think out side of the box and didnt' wanna make your regular "sun shining!" type of sky layout..LOL  dont' get me wrong, those are all beautiful but I just wanted to make something a little different, even for me..LOL
One of our very favorite times when my kids were younger, was to sit and watch Disney Movies while we had lunch and some down time.. rarely did any of them take a nap once they started walking..LOL
this layout was inspired by one of those times and who doesn't like Peter Pan ?.
here is my take on our SKY challenge:
I will admit that this is by far, one of my all time favorite die cut layouts that I've created..  and the photo is of my boys, when they were just babies.. My eldest son would climb into the crib of my youngest and steal his bottle, go hide behind the couch and drink it..LOL  I luv memories like that now that they are in their late teens..
Here are a few close ups of the layout:
the ship I cut using the "Paper Doll Dress Up" cartrige.. black cardstock and did some doodling on it with white gel pen..

Tinkerbell sitting on the cloud...I had a hard time with her face, even though she isn't cut very small.. and then the city below I also found on the "Paper Doll Dress Up" cartridge.. used my DS to weld it all together..

and a close up of my boys.. Aaron has the really surprised look on his face " o-ohhh, mommy caught me!"..LOL

and for supplies used:

Dark blue, yellow, white, red and black cardstock..

Cricut Cartridges:
Pooh and Friends : Clouds
George and Basic Shapes: Big circle (moon) and title font
Tink and Friends: Tinkerbell and stars
( I used my imagine, white cardstock and the color wheel to create my tink)
Paper Doll Dress Up: Ship and city

pop dots (clouds)
white gel pen for doodling

well ladies.. that does it for me for this Friday Reveal... I want to thank you all so much for stopping by today and looking at my take on our die cut challenge.. do stop by SOUS and check out what the other design team members have created to inspire you with.. just click HERE and you will be re-directed to SOUS..

Friends Forever Layout-Prima

Happy Monday and its me again, Nanné here with some more Prima goodies to share with you...
I created this layout using Prima papers, flowers and lace ribbon trim..  I also inked the edges of the paper with Tim Holtz distress ink to give it more of a vintage look.. Luv the way it came out! :)

For the centers of the hydrangeas, I added a drop of Gemstone glue, cut a pearl of the string of pearl glued it down and then covered them with Diamon Stickles..

I also used the Gemstone Glue, to glue down the lace trim and the string of pearl..which worked amazingly with the pearls..just need to let it dry a little bit before attaching the pearls..once  it gets tacky, then push down your string of pearls and it won't make a mess.. I wish I would of known that ahead of time..LOL  But this is a definite must have product when wanting to add trim or just adding small details..

Here are a few close ups for you of the layout:

The photo is of my brother and I waaaaaaaay back when we were small..LOL
I luv clustering flowers and I've learned when doing so, always start with your biggest flowers first, then add the smaller ones .. and play with color, cause you never know what colors will actually make your layout pop..

and for the supplies I used:

From My own Stash:
Prima Regent flower collection,  Prima Hydrangeas, white small flowers, hat pins; string of pearl & bingo card! Cricut for Flourish, white Liquid Pearl & trinket..

From Your Memories Here:

Well ladies.. that does it for me for this Monday... I want to thank you all so very much for stopping by today and checking out what I've been able to create with a few beautiful Prima pieces.. Hope I inspired you to want to create a flowered masterpiece of your own..   I will always be more than happy to answer questions you have regarding any of my projects.. I'm always here to help :)

Being Adorable is Dogs Play-SOUS die cut reveal

Suprise!! well, us girls over at SOUS have been pondering up some new ideas on how to get the most out of our die cutting machines and we thought to start having die cut challenges in between the sketch challenges.. Brilliant, yes I know..LOL
You can stop by SOUS for more information, but just quickly wanted to share what I have created for our very first dye cut challenge.. Our theme for this challenge was "PLAY".. you can interpret that  anyway you want to, I used the word "PLAY" on my layout and tried to make it fun..
Here is my take on our very first challenge:
The photo is of our pup, Jery aka little Fckr..LOL  and yes, he answers to that name everytime, comes running with his bushy tail a wagging..LOL
But, my daughter snapped this photo of him begging to go out in the back patio one winters day.. He just looks so sweet and innocent, and trust me when I tell you , he is anything but ...I love him regardless..

as for the die cuts, I used my Cricut Imagine and my Nate's ABC's cartridge, except the hollow circle is George and Basic Shapes..

and for a few close ups:

and for supplies used:

Cricut Imagine die cutter
Cricut cartridges:
Nate's ABC's (dog, dog and wagon, food bowl and ball, font)
George and Basic Shapes (hollow circle)

papers by: Echo Park (Playground collection)
cardstock: green, blue, orange and red
popdots
white gel pen

wow!! that was a semi short list, but I basically concentrated on one main cartridge and those cuts on the Nate's ABC's are so super cute...will have to play with that one more often...
Okey then everyone, that was my take on our very first dye cut challenge.. Do stop by SOUS and see what the other ladies have created using the same "THEME".. you won't be disappointed!!
Hope everyone has a great and creative weekend..
