"BIRTHDAY" Mini word Album

My only cousin is turning 40 years old on the 10th of this month.. She is having a big party Saturday and I really wanted to make her something super special..  I adore how this came out and might have to make myself one almost exactly like it...LOL  :O)
Oh! great way to put your old cereal boxes to good use.. I cut the base of the album using 4 cereal boxes, the backs and fronts..

Here are some close ups and all of the details:

I have ONNEA written on the left side of this page, which in Finnish means "Congrats!"..
I also found some excellent Birthday quotes from Scrapbook.com which I copied and pasted onto my Word program and then played around with the fonts and printed them, either onto cardstock or printer paper.

WeddingDay word album-Finnish.

Here it is..finally finished after working on it for 4 days (on and off).. I made this for my co-worker who's son got marrried in June.. I made them an album as a wedding gift and this one is for the mother of the groom to keep some of her favorite photos in..
This says "H.Ä.Ä.P.Ä.I.V.Ä" Which means Wedding day.. The finnish alphabet has "A's" that have two little dots on them, so I added the little flowers as the dots..they look like little mickey mouse ears..LOL
I made the word "Henkka" as the top of the cover cause that is the name of her son..
this will be the only text I add to the album.. the mom of the groom can fill in all the other stuff.. I think adding text and journaling is so personal that I just don't feel comfortable doing it for someone else.. especially since my finnish is so bad when it comes to trying to write..LOL
Here are just some photos of the inside of the album.. I have no photos to add to the matting, so they are all empty..the mom will add her own photos.
journaling tags hidden away behind the photo mats..
This is one of my favorite photo matts.
just another one..
and another..LOL

and another.
another hidden tag.. I have 4 of them in total, but I think I will be adding a few more.
Supplies used:
  • Cricut cart: Storybook-album(squares and lettering) all embellishments
  • Cricut cart: Opposites Attract- wedding date
  • Cricut Design studio software- welding to make the album
  • white, light blue and cream cardstock
  • printed papers by CreaMotion
  • sitckle: gold, frosted lace and waterfall
  • ribbon-light blue, light gold, cream and white glitter fiber.
thank you all so much for looking.

Their last name is Bednar, so thats where this title comes from.
The TWO is for the two girls..my niece and her friend, they got in there with the best of em..
Heres a pic of my nice and her friend all geared up and ready to do battle against the boys.
My hubby getting everyone ready.. loading up the paint balls..

The aftermath... paint every where!!..even on aarons face..right through the mask..

Just the guys, minus my hubby...wanted the kids only on this page..

BAR-B-Q word album-*photo heavy

My best friends birthday is June 26th and I really wanted to make her something special and personalized. last summer we were privileged enough to be able to spend 3 weeks in Florida with our friends and family. I added photos of our cookouts in this album.
I knew I wanted something to top off the BARBQ and came up with the "SUMMER 08".
I got the title from the shirt she is wearing.. it has Tweety bird on it.
which I highlighted with a flower silhoutte, that I stickled with red
She loves cats, so I wanted to incorporated that into this layout. My DD saved this cat.
just another Kat with the cat photo..LOL
I can't remember when I had laughed as much as I did that night.. so, thats where I got that title from. I didn't add a photo of the other pics on the page, cause she loves giving the camera the middle finger..LOL
This is kat with her hubby Brian.. My first attempt at making the kitty from Hello Kitty font..
stickled it with red as well..
hugs and kisses stickled with cinnamon
the happy couple..LOL
shes' giving the camera a finger in this photo as well, but I decided to cover it with the rolling pin..LOL I added the text "attitude adjuster" to the rolling pin..
just a close up of the names I stickled with black and red.

Supplies used:
  • Cricut cart: Hello Kitty Font

BABY word album

This is my very first word album so please be gentle with me..LOL :OP

A good friend of mine gave birth to a bouncing baby boy 4 weeks ago.. She lives a little bit away, so I don't get to see her everyday. I'm planning a visit for Thursday June 4th. I will be giving this to her as a surprise..
I misplaced my O-rings, which means I have to buy new ones..thats why their missing from the pic..LOL
This is the first letter, of couse..duh!.. She loves bold colors, so I didn't want to use pastels..
Added a pull out tag so she can journal something in there to go along with the photo that I have matted ready for her.
Here she can doodle the time and date the baby was born, plus add a photo.
sorry this is a bit blurry..
Little toes.. love baby toes.. The final page..

I cut the WHOLE album using my Cricut personal elec.dye cutter and the Plantin Schoolbook cart.. I cut it 5" tall and started with the whole matt lenght for the "Y"..and then just made them shorter by letter..
Just welded a long tag to the letter using the design studio software.
I also thought to recycle some of the cardboard that you get with the paper stacks you buy.

Supplies used:
  • Cricut Cart: Plantin Schoolbook-Album
  • Cricut Cart: Graphically Speaking- titles and flowers
  • Cricut cart: Accent Essentials- frame(pic)
  • Cricut cart: My Community- Feet
  • HOTP - For boys to men papers
  • blue, red and yellow cardstock
  • recycled matt stack back cover-cardboard album
  • buttons
  • stickle
  • ribbon
