Sweet pea mini album

Hi fellow scrappers.. I'm here to share a cute little 5x7 mini album I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using the Junk Journal cover from the Creative Embellishments store.  One of my biggest passions are mini albums, they are so much fun to create and you can add those cute little embellishments, tags and hidden goodies that you just can't put onto a scrapbook layout..

Here is what I've created for todays' reveal:
These covers are awesome and so easy to use.. You just have to bend the spine carefully and its ready to decorate..

For the cover of my mini album, I used some of my favorite 6x6 papers by Teressa Collins, printed some butterflies and fussy cut them, added some of the bigger hearts from Heart chipboard set, Sweet Pea title sentiment and finally some brown flowers to match my color theme.

For my pages, I just created some flap pages using cardstock and attached those to the spine with some score tape, I did decorate them with the same paper collection after I had the pages in place.

I created some sentiment sayings and printed some scrabble letters, which were easy to fussy cut with scissors.. I also made some large tags for the pockets of the mini  album, made the tag hole too big and so don't have eyelets that big..LOL and used black cardstock for my photo mats.

Because this album didn't have much room on the pages for bulky embellishments, I decided to utilize the wood veneer pieces and attached few of the little rulers to the "Growing" page..
and there you have my mini album that I created using the Junk journaling cover cause they are awesome for mini albums..  thank you for stopping by today and checking out my project..

Till next time

By the Sea-CE reveal

Hi fellow scrappers.. I'm here to share my layout with you today that I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments.  I have decided this year to put to use the items I have been holding onto and this paper collection by G45 is one of them.. This is my second project using this paper line and I have lots left, so more project to make :) Here is the layout I created for todays reveal:

So many amazing chipboard elements to choose from..LOL  I love, love, love the fish net panels and for this layout, I used the Fishnet panel 2, which is more distressed.. I used only half of it and this way, I can use the other half on another project.. Such a great way to get more for your buck..

I also added a few sea shells, tucking them behind my flowers and for I added mini art stones to my chain frame, which I had cut into two, to make it look like barnacles.  I also found some left over chain pieces in my stash and glued those down to the side of my layout and then the metal key that I've had in my stash forever..

I took one of the Nautical captains wheels, cut a piece off the bottom and tucked it above my flower cluster and added the title to the top of my photos. I left my title raw chipboard, just dry brushed the edges with white gesso..

Of course, I had to add a light house to my nautical themed layout cause it just wouldn't of been nautical without one.. LOL  added a few shells and then found a small TH glass vial in my stash, filled it with mini art stones and glued it to my layout.. I also used that little captains wheel piece and glued it to the bottom corner, this way I was able to utilize all of my pieces..
and there you have my layout for todays reveal.. I had so much fun playing with layers and papers that I normally would not of used.. Step out of your comfort zone now and then, play with items you would normally be afraid to play with cause the you just might like the end result..

Thank you for stopping by today and checking out my project..
Till next time..
Hugs

Hush Little Baby

Hi fellow scrappers.. I'm here to share a cute little baby themed scrapbook layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments of my grand daughter, took the photo as she was napping.. I've said it before and I'll say it again, but she is my favorite topic to scrap about these days..LOL

Here is the layout I created:
We are totally in love with her and she is so peaceful when sleeping :)
How about a few close ups:
I added the chain elements to look like they were hanging down from the corner flower cluster.. I painted most of the chippies using Tattered rose and Fired Brick Distress oxides.
Some of the elements I painted white using just your regular acrylic paint..

and I love adding little details using Nuvo drops.
I added lots of beautiful chipboard elements to my layout.. You can find the list at the bottom of my post..
thank you for stopping by and checking out my layout..
till next time
