I love pumpkins.. any shape, any color. love love love them...LOL  so, I decided to create a cute little halloween themed bag to put some candy in for my daughter, who by the way is 25 yrs old, but we are all little kids at heart when it comes to Halloween right?..

So, this is what I created:
I measures about 6" tall and about 3.5" wide..
the bag is from the Cricut cartridge: Wrap it Up
and the die cuts are all  SIL files..

how about some close ups:

side view, just so you can see really is a bag..LOL
cut it out of black card stock, then adding some decorative papers to the front, back and sides..
adding some fun die cuts for decoration..

my lovely pumpkins :)

Harvest wooden blocks-die cut reveal-sous

It's once again die cut reveal time for us ladies over at SOUS and for today its a die cut challenge "Anything Autumn!"..
I decided to create some decorated wooden blocks that my hubby had cut for me a long time ago and I finally grabbed them out of storage and got them decorated :)

This is what I created:
These are all print and cut.. I thought to add some 3D elements to them, but then stopped myself at the last minute.. I like the flat look :)

The colors are a bit off due to the dreary weather we've had the last few weeks and its only going to get worse :(

I have a few close ups:
added some pumpkins to the bottom of the "R" and then
decided to make the "V" an ear of corn :)

I started adding packing yarn to the edges of the blocks, but then didn't like it and decided to leave the rest of them without it :)

I did add some touches of white gel pen here and there.. couldn't resist..LOL

and there ya have it.. my Harvest blocks..I've been having fun making some Autumn decor for my home..
so, do stop by SOUS and check out what fun projects the rest of our design team has created for todays challenge..
Till Next time..

Were all mad here-Die cut challenge

I love October for many reason, but the begin of the Halloween season is definitely a favorite reason..
I've been wanting to start on some autumn/Halloween decorations and to get in the wacky mood, I decided to create a fun and whimsical layout using some Alice in Wonderland die cuts..
Which is also our Die Cut challenge for S.O.U.S this week..
we asked our DT to play with a theme this week, to add a "Top hat, tea cup, tea pot or saucer!" on their project or they could go all out Alice in Wonderland, which is what I did..

Here is my project:

I decided to create a two page layout..
Here are some close ups:

left side

Right side..

How fun was that?.. loved putting it together..

and there you have my layout that I submitted to this weeks die cut challenge over at SOUS..
I hope you find some time to stop by and check out what amazing projects the rest of our die cut team has created for our challenge..

Life is an adventure card-DC reveal SOUS

My eldest son Aaron, turned 21 on Wednesday the 9th and he left for the Finnish army on Monday the 7th..
A 6 months basic training term is mandatory for all males once they turn 18 years old here in Finland, even for my boys since they have dual citizenship, all of my kids were born in the States but we live here permanently..  So, I wanted to create a card for him to celebrate a birthday but at the same time to celebrate another step forward in life..  I won't see him for at least two weeks, after that he will be home most weekends till his 6 months is up..The Finnish army is way more laid back than if you were serving in the States..
but before I talk your ear off, here is the card I created for our die cut reveal over at SOUS and for this week, we were to go with a theme "Going Somewhere!"..
I wanted to play with colors that weren't on my normal color palette and also some shapes I don't feel comfortable playing with except for the clouds of course :)

how about a few close ups:

added lots of layers using foam tape and lots of little pearl drops.

I printed the title to the label..

for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette designer edition software
Canon home printer

Digital papers
white cardstock
cutting files: SIL store
foam tape
distress ink
white liquid pearls
white gel pen

I want to thank you for stopping by today and taking a look at what I've created.. For more inspiration, do stop by SOUS and check out the fun projects from our design team..

Ships A'Hoy Shadow Box-Die Cut reveal-SOUS

Us girls over at SOUS are having our die cut reveal today and we played around with a theme this week.. The them is "In The Water!".. meaning, add die cuts to your projects that have to do with water..
I wanted to create something special for my mom and this was a perfect opportunity to use one of our cruise photos from last fall and I created a shadow box for her..
Can you believe I created the entire thing out of cardstock?
So much fun and it was actually a lot quicker than I could of ever imagined..

how about some close ups:

Theirs a photo of my mom standing in front of the ship we were about to board..
In this side view, you can see how deep those boxes are.. I didn't want anything to lay flat inside of them, so most everything is being held up with little legs I created out of cardstock..

One of my favorites here.. Love how I clustered all of these goodies and by the way, these are all digital elements (except for the coral, that's a die cut) I made into cutting files using the SIL software.. fun and easy!!

The little paper beads in the bottom box, well thats actually a digital element that I printed and cut with Cameo.. They look pretty real don't they?..LOL

I also wanted to add some of the digital elements to the top of the shadow box along with some packing twine.. a flat look would of been boring..

I also added some fun sayings and a few banners, plus the cute little crab..
I decided to add a faux wood look to the edge of the box and also added some packing twine to just add another fun element..

alrighty then, that's my project for this weeks die cut reveal..
I'm seriously hooked on these shadow boxes and they are some much fun to decorate..
Can't wait to start designing my next one :)

So, do stop by SOUS and check out what fun and amazing projects the rest of our design team has created for todays reveal..
Till next time..
