Fall card- DT for YMH

Hello fellow scrappers.
Oh its so hot out side here in Finland, it seems funny that I created an Autumn card and using winter papers at that..LOL  My best friend is moving here at the end of November from Florida and I wanted to send her a card for her up coming trip.
So, here is the card I created:

sorry the photo is a little blurry.. But I used the cutest papers by Prima, it was the North State collection.. Lots of gorgeous winter themed papers, but I did find a few that worked great for an Autumn card..
I also put my Cricut to the test and cut the leaves that I have assembled below the sentiment.
I also added some drops of white liquid pearl to accent the scalloped circle and some of the papers..
How about a few close ups:

I inked the edges of the papers with some Distress ink by Ranger

and then for the finished sentiment on the inside of the card:

well fellow scrappers.. that's my Monday post for this week..
Thank you for stopping by today and do check out Your Memories Here.. she is taking pre-orders for the new Prima Grab bags.. I gotta gets mine..LOL
Hope everyone has a wonderfully scrappy week

Card Creative Tuesday with MCCR-DT post

Today is my first design team post MCCR and I designed a FISH themed card for the Project Sunshine and Smiles, cards for a cause..
All of the cards will be sent to a children's hospital to bring smiles onto those little faces..

and so with that said, here is the card I created:

I designed the card with CCR and then printed and cut the images using my Cricut Imagine.. I love creating little scenes on my projects and since we were to use FISH on our card, what better than a cute little under water scene :)
I used my George and Basic shapes cartridges to create the base of the card.. the base measures 4.75" x 6.75", which I then colored in blue, using my imagines Lori's Garden cartridge.. I then cut another rectangle measuring 4.5" x 6.5" and filled that in with the blue stripped image (before cutting of course) also from the Lori's Garden cartridge, this way I got all of the colors and prints to coordinate..

If I remember correctly, the little fish are cut 2" and are located on the Create-A-Critter cartridge.. the little word blurb is on the Imagine basics that comes with the Imagine. The font for the title FISH is from Plantin Schoolbook and I cut it really small at 0.75.. The prints and colors are all on the Imagine cartridge: Lori's Garden which is the imagine cartridge I used for this card.. I also added some drops of liquid pearls and then  drops of glossy accents to represent bubbles in the water..

The shell and starfish are also from the Create-a-Critter cartridge..both were cut at 2" as well, if I remember correctly.. I really should try to remember to write the sizes down next time..sorry about that..
The greenery and seaweeds are also on the Create-a-Critter and I used the cloud cut and made a big green rock with it instead, filling it in with the green print before cutting..always gotta think outside of the box..LOL  small added details with liquid pearls and glossy accents..

Here you can see all of the dimension on this card..
I foam taped everything, which is one of my favorite techniques..

I first glued down the shadow cut (brown) flat onto the card and then foam taped the green rock to that, tucking under some of the seaweed.. I have a tendency to never glue the entire die cut down, just a piece of it :)

oh and for the inside of the card, which I designed on CCR as well.. I used the Print only option on the Cricut imagine, so it printed the image onto white cardstock without cutting it.. love that feature by the way..

So, the sentiment is : "Fish, You were feeling better!"..

as for the supplies I used to create this card:

Cricut Imagine printer and die cutter

Cricut Craftroom free design software

Cricut Imagine cartridge: Lori's Garden
(prints and colors)

Cricut Imagine Basics:
word blurb

Regular Cricut cartridges:

George and Basic Shapes:
rectangles for the base of the card

Create-a-Critter:
fish, shell, starfish, seaweed, greenery and rock(cloud)

Plantin Schoolbook:
font

liquid pearl and glossy accents
foam tape
zig two way glue (fine tip)

Well ladies.. whew!! that was a lot to remember and write down..LOL  I hope you like my card as much as I do and I hope it puts a big smile on someones face..
I want to thank you for stopping by and do stop by My Cricut Craft Room to check out what amazing projects the rest of the Design Team has created for you..

Shine-Sketch reveal SOUS

Well Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappy Friday fellow crafters..
Its sketch reveal time again for us ladies over at SOUS and this weeks sketch is designed by your's truly..LOL  the sketch was inspired by a layout I seen in a magazine a few months back and I absolutely loved it..
I'm not gonna yap your ears off this week and so, lets get to the sketch shall we:

and here is my take on this sketch:

I had to photograph this inside since were all rain this summer, it might be a little fuzzy..
not much sunshine at all..blah!!

how about some close ups:

My hand journaling.. I hate my handwriting when I don't have lines for help..LOL

My sweet Amber and my youngest son Adam..

I broke open my Flower Shoppe cartridge to make these flowers and leaves.. been a while since I hand made flowers and it was so much fun..

I found a chipboard sticker in my stash and wanted to use it since I liked the color of it.. then created the rest of the title around it..

and this is a transfer sentiment I found in my stash as well.. thought it was cut.. I just cut it up into three pieces so I could add it to the strips.. cute!!

and finally my little yellow flowers.. I added a big gob of white liquid pearl to the centers of the yellow flowers.. I also did some fussy cutting, some of the flowers from the papers I used..

and for supplies used:

Cricut Imagine for the die cuts

cartridges used:

Flower Shoppe:
flowers and leaves

George and Basic Shapes:
circle (cut in half)

Our Journey- DT for YMH

Wow.. Its been a busy Monday today and so, that's why my post for Your Memories Here is a bit late.. Its also been raining cats and dogs the last few days, so trying to get a halfway descent photo of my project was almost impossible.. The close ups are better, I promise..
so, with that said...LOL  I had a lot of fun playing with some of my "boring" flowers yesterday.. I needed some reddish flowers and didn't find any in my stash, so what better way to get my way than grabbing a bottle of glitter mist and getting the color I needed.. these were originally light blue and look how awesome they look now..You'd never know!! LOL

and here is the layout I created:

I started off with some of my Windsor papers and most of these are actually scraps from previous layouts.. I love how you don't have to throw them away and be able to add lots of amazing little bits of detail to any project..
Here are some close ups of the layout:

Check out how yummy those look.. all nice and glittery..

The  leaves (gems) are from my Prima collection I received last winter, they were in the Printery collection.. I ended up cutting them up a bit.. adding the leaves separately and then the golden pearls onto the centers of my flowers..

I also punched out the little clock from the backing of one the Prima flower packs I have.. I seen it and thought, why waste such a perfect piece of embellishment..LOL

ok ladies.. Thank you all so much stopping by today and taking a look at my Monday design team project for Your Memories Here.. I had so much fun playing with some of my flowers from my stash and some glimmer mist..
Do stop by Your Memories here for all of your glimmer mist needs..LOL

Junior Chef-Die cut challenge for SOUS

Happy "die cut challenge" Friday fellow scrappers!! Us girls over at Stuck On U Sketches are having out die cut reveal today and for our challenge we were to create a project using a Creative Hidden Tag..
I decided to go all Kate's' Kitchen on you all..LOL  I'm sure most of you have figured out by now, its one of my all time favorite cartridges.. Love the prints and colors on there and once Provo craft gets it working properly on CCR then I can actually create cute stuff with the images as well..
I'm heading off topic ain't I?..LOL  "squirrel!!"
and too easily amused..LOL

sooooooo, lets get to my project shall we:
the red cutting board is actually a hidden pull out tag..

This layout does not have photos on in yet, since I forgot to buy an ink cartridge for my printer and its giving me a hard time not recognizing the free ink cart I had received with an order.. so, I have to wait till the new shipment shows up..Grrrr
but, I have photos of my son Adam making peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches, which he loves by the way.. I thought it would be cute to add those to this layout..

how about some close ups:

The chefs hat is from "Pooh and Friends"
title CHEF is "From My Kitchen"

these jars are on "From My Kitchen!", which I edited them a little bit using Cricut Craftroom.
the labels are printed and then cut by hand.. the font is "Plantin schoolbook"

picture of the tag in place, plus I added a few splatters around the layout to look like peanut butter and Jelly.. represents the mess I always had to clean up after the sandwiches were made..LOL
The loaf and knife are also "From My Kitchen!" cartridge..

Photo of the tag when its pulled out.. lots of room for journaling..

ok ladies..That's my die cut post for this week..
I want to thank you for stopping by today and I hope you can find some free time to stop by S.O.U.S
I hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week
Hugs

Prima Sun Kiss cards- YMH DT reveal

Happy Monday fellow crafter's and since it is Monday, I get to share a few cards that I created as my design team project for Your Memories Here..  Because I am a cheap scrapper (aren't we all), I don't like wasting my papers.. I try to save some of the bigger pieces that are left over and with those I make cards..Here are two cards that I created with some of the scraps I've had left over from previous projects:

card #1:

I started off with a white cardstock base, brown cardstock and then started layering the sun kiss papers.. I used my Martha Stewart edge punch, some Sun Kiss Flowers, leaves, white ribbon, Prima E-Line pearls, and a few stamps I had in my stash.. I also distressed all of the edges with Ranger distress ink.  The scalloped circle I cut using my Cricut Imagine..
I have one close up:

and then for the second card:

Once again, started with a white cardstock base, layered some of the Sun Kiss papers on it, did some edge punching again with my MS edge punch, plus added some butterflies which I punched out of the Sun Kiss papers.. added some liquid pearl drops to them for accent..  Chipboard sentiment sticker which came in the Prima Sun Kiss collection, The green flowers did not come in the collection, the white flower is also a Prima, plus are the leaves..
for a few close ups:
love these flowers!

I also distressed the edges of this card with Ranger distress ink

I want to thank you all for  stopping by today and checking out my design team project for Your Memories Here.. Stop by and get your Prima grab bag today, there are some left :)
hope everyone has a scrap-sational week !
