Wedding Reception layout

Here is the two pager together.. I didn't want to over do with embellishments, so I thought to just put the flowers and then the ivy hanging out of the flower pot.. cause thats what was in the picture..
Here is the title page.. I wanted to layer the title, but I made it so small using the DS, that it would have been really hard to get them all lined up..
plus, my fingers aren't small enough for all the glueing and piecing..LOL

close up of the lily flower that I cut using the paper doll dress up cart.. I first cut it in green and then in pink.. I inked the edges and then stickled it.

Wedding reception will be held at an Island just off of the coast of Helsinki, Finland.. I found some pictures of the restaurant on the internet this morning and wanted to incorporate some of that into this layout.

  • Cricut cart: Graphically Speaking: title frame

  • cricut cart: Paper Doll Dress Up: plants and flowers

  • cricut cart: Opposites Attract: Title font

  • cricut cart: Walk in my Garden: flower pots

  • papers: DCWV Luxury Stack

  • mini Ivy Garland-from my stash

  • Fiskars paper punch: don't know the name

  • stickle: baby pink and lime green
  • Pop dots-plants and flowers

Thank you so much for looking!

Cookbook in the making.

I am working on a cookbook for my daughters birthday coming in May. She will be 20yrs and has just recently moved into her own apartment. she loves to cook and often ask me how do I make this or that.. so, I thought it would be a nice gift to give her a book of her own, with all of her favorites.
These pages will posted into a binder and the binder will have 3-4 different sections in it. One for appetizers, side dishes, main courses and desserts.
Hopefully she will like it and it will be something kept in the family, passed down from generation to generation.

the true color tones are very light blue, peach and tan, with a dark gray matting. the pics didn't come out as good as I had hoped..sorry about that.

kortti Haaste #50/challenge #50

Card challenge #50.
I made this card with my best friend in mind. We both love primitive country crafts and so, I used that as my inspiration for the card. I used K&co classic k Margo paper stack , which I love the patterns and the colors. a lot of chalking and inking was involved in the making of this card, but looking at the end results, it was well worth the effort.
I measured the card at 8"x6" and cut 8 3"x2" pieces of cardstock. I inked and chalked all the pieces and then placed them on top of the card. I cut 3", 2.5" and 1" hearts in 4 different colors, inked and chalked them and then layered them. Adding the stitching with a black marking pen. i cut branches at 2" and 3", inking and chalking them and then adding liquid pearl drops.
I also inked and chalked the letters, adding a little dimension. hearts are all stuck with 3d tape squares. I also cut .5" border around the edge of the card attaching the corners with button brads, which I thought was a cute finish to the card.
Kortti Haaste #50
Tein tämän kortin parhaalle kaverilleni. Me molemmat rakastetaan amerikallaista primitive stailia.

Birthday card 3d-purse

I had a BLAST making this 3d purse card.. I made my own purse pattern and then cut it from black heavy cardstock, cut the pictures from BoBunny papers and used stickle for all the BLING! The top of the card opens up so it can be used as a gift box as well.
"Onnea" means congrats.. :D
hei!
Tässä on kartongista tehty käsilaukku kortti työkaverilleni. Hän rakasti sitä.. helppo ja nopea tehdä. varmasti löytyy netistä ohjeita.

5 Layouts done, only 15 more to go...

Here's the Bridal Layout for the wedding album I'm working on..
After working on this layout all week, I am FINALLY finished.
I hand made all the embellishments, except the corner pieces. The title was cut using the cricut.
Here's also a close up of the bouguet, dress and veil.
The matting for the photo is cut for a 5"X7" photo.
and then the finnish version.....
Ja sitten suomen kielen versio...
Hää albuumiin morsian sivu.. Kaikki koristeet ovat käsin tehtyjä paitsi kulma korut ovat ostettu Sinellistä. Tämän sivun koko on 30.5 x 30.5 ja kuvan paikka on leikattu 12.7 x 17.8 kokoiselle kuvalle.

Wedding layout-maid of honor

I really love this layout I made today. I hand pieced the dress and bouquet, the title is cut with the cricut using Opposites Attract cartridge. I did a lot shadowing and inking on the layout. Its deffinatley a girly layout. This will be for the maid-of-honor, which is "Kaaso"in finnish. I will be adding a tag on there for the bride to be able to journal all the important information, like the name of her maid of honor, the date, etc..
The colors appear a lot darker than they are.. I used very light creams and light pinks. most of the papers are silk papers, which were kind of difficult to work with. I did use stickle a lot to give it a little bit of a bling effect.

My Family 1978

I really wanted an antique type of look.. I love the color combo on black, white, gray and a little bit of light pink. These pics were taken in the 70's so they are kind of bland, I did want to add a little color and I thought since they were my pictures, that I should add a little pink.

Crocodile Hunter

My little crocodile hunter. We were visiting the zoo in Helsinki which is named "korkeasaari!" meaning high island.. Theirs a statue of a wooden crocodile in one of the lobbies and my youngest wanted to lay on top of it.. It was deffinatley a kodak moment.
this layout was one of my first attempts using the cricut elec.dye cutter..

Adam! The Crier.

My youngest son, Adam cried a lot when he was a baby.. I wasn't allowed to leave the room and leave him behind. looking back at his pictures now, I just get a giggle. I love these pics of him..

He isn't a crier anymore, now at the age 14.. He's a sweetheart!

Aaron's 1st Xmas

This is one of those early cricut LO I had done a few years ago. I really like this picture and so I wanted to keep the LO simple.

He's such a cutie!

mike the man..

I loved these pictures of my husband. The expression on his face is priceless. My best friend knows how much I like to cook and bake, so she had bought me some chef's embellishments. I cut all of the foundation and lettering for the layout with my cricut. I then added the photos and embellishments. I think even hubby liked this layout. I did actually re-do the original layout, from a single page to a double.
