Keys from the Past-1967

Good Morning gals..
Been feeling a bit under the weather this week..  Actually, I've been hungover from celebrating my cousins 40th Birthday last Saturday, I must be getting too old to party...LOL, but I still really wanted to work on a layout or two..
Sandi Clarkson at Soft Side of Sandi does these amazing heritage layouts and I really really really wanted to try one.. So, here is my first attemptt.. These photos are of my grandparents wedding day back in 1967.. my grandfather is actually my moms step-dad,  my mom was about 21yrs old when her mom re-married..

My grandmothers favorite color was soft pink, so I wanted to incorporate that into the layout, but without over drowning it in pink..just a little accent here and there... The photo on the bottom of the layout is not of my grandparents, just an image I had in my stash..

Here are some close ups and all of the details to making this layout..

Here is a close up of the happy couple.. My mom actually took these photos, so thats why she's not in them..LOL
My aunt (my dads sister) is standing on my grandmothers side.

close up of the upper left with the pearl strings.

The bottom right.. loved adding all of those images to the layout..

Here is my journaling box.. I found that cute quote on scrapbook.com

and finally of the my grandparents.. They are standing in front of the biggest church here in Helsinki Finland.. Its beautiful as are the couple.

  6. Wow!!! I just love-love-love this layout. Of course all you need to do is get the pearls out and I am in love! This is wonderful look at all the flowers and the key are awesome. I have looked all over and can't find any keys in birmingham! Look at that clock. Love the photos but must admit that I was surprised that 1967 would be considered for heritage.... should I say shocked, only because I can remember that far back!!! I feel so old now, thank goodness I have that heritage cart! LOL, love your page Sandy!
