Liz Qualman has made us at SOUS an original sketch.. Wow!!! , Let me repeat that "Liz Qualman has made US at SOUS an ORIGINAL sketch...LOL
Thank you Liz so much..
This layout is of me and my son Aaron, back when I was 21 years old and I have just brought my him home.. He weighed a whopping 8lbs 4oz.. Big boy!!! I have been wanting to scrap some of his baby photos for the longest time and when I seen this sketch, it inspired me to get his photos out and make a layout..
I don't own any baby cartridges so I think I did pretty good with what I have..LOL :O)
And here is that amazing sketch of hers..
I hope you ladies get a chance to stop by SOUS this weeks and have a go at this sketch.. It was so much fun to work with and it highly inspired me..
Here are some close ups and all of the details to the making of this layout.
I made the title using SCAL.. I wanted to make the BOY look like baby blocks.. I think I did a pretty good job.LOL and I adore the soft colors I chose to use..
I love these little faces I made with just a simple circle cut and the peachy keen stamps..I did chalk some color onto the cheeks.. :O) The baby blanket I made just folding a piece of blue paper and inking the edges..
I found this cute little quote from scrapbook.com
I thought it was so appropriate for this layout.. and they do have the cutest quotes, poems and title ideas
Gosh! I look so young... :O) Where has the time gone?

Another masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteJust had to tell you how much I love this! I just got some peachy keen stamps and wasn't sure if I could use flowers like that on boy layouts ( I have 3 boys, 4 1/2, 2 1/2 and 1yo) and your example is great!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your boy would be considered tiny in this house, DS1 was 11 lbs 5 oz! (ds2 was 9.6 and ds3 was 9.1, so they were not small either)
