Beauty of Body Art..
Hi everyone.. Happy Sunday to you all..
Here's a layout I made this morning.. I used the vine tutorial of Sandy's that we have posted on our challenge blog STUCK ON U SKETCHES
I'm sure you all have guess by now, but I love lilies with all of my heart, especially the pink ones..
I have been in a rut lately cause of a family members health issue, so it was nice to be able to put my mind to other things again..
I thought it was ironic that I used Prima marketing papers , but made my own flowers on a vine, which that company is really known for..LOL
Here are some close ups of the layout.. the colors are a bit lighter than what the photos show.. Its a dark autumn here in Finland, so the lighting is off a bit..
Supplies Used:
Cricut cartridge: Accent Essentials (Lilies)
Cricut cartridge: Indie Art (butterflies)
Cricut cartridge: Storybook (marquee's, "BODY",
Cricut cartridge: A Childs Year (leaves)
Cricut Cartridge: Opposites Attract (beautiful, of, art)
Prima marketing papers. Whisper collection
pink, green and black cardstock
Tim Holtz distress ink : worn lipstick
Versa color inks: amethyst, petal pink and white
Chalks: dark pink
Stickle: pink, cotton candy, lime green
pop dots
wire: green and pink
Please don't forget to check out Sandy's tutorial.. Click HERE..It so clever and super easy..
You can add any color or style of flowers to your vine.. the options are endless..
Thank you all so much for looking
and have a great Sunday..

Winter Wonderland-SOUS
Here is a layout I made using the sketch from STUCK ON U SKETCHES this week..
I had so much fun making this layout and using the Christmas cuts on various cartridges..
I had a hard time choosing which cuts to use, I like them all..LOL
Here are some close ups of the layout.. the little reindeer heads are tags that pull out.. I haven't journaled anything on them yet, I have to really think of something sweet.
The tag in the middle is the date and location where I took the photo at.. We were at the Helsinki International airport getting ready to board out plane. We were going to the States to visit friends and family for the holidays.
This was our first visit back since we moved back in 1996.. the kids were so excited..
They always make silly faces when I tell them to pose..
Supplies Used:
Cricut cartridge: Winter Woodland (Title)
Cricut cartridge: Doodlcharms (reindeer heads)
Cricut Cartridge: Tags, bags and boxes (tags)
Cricut cartridge: Joys of the Season (garland and flower)
Cricut cartridge: Christmas Cheer (reindeer and sleigh)
Papers: by Reyher (no other name on paper)
cardstock: dark redish orange, light green, deep red, mint green, tan and brown
Sitckle: xmas red, evergreen, gold, cinnamon
zig black marking pen (doodling and journaling)
pop dots
ribbon

HI ya ladies..
Here's a little something I've been working today.. I'm so glad I got it finished..
The colors are not as deep and rich as they are in this photo.. its late and the lighting is bad..

I found this photo of me in my grand mothers belongings. I spend a lot of time with her at her summer cabin when I was little and those are the best memories I have of my childhood..
I have added some close ups of the layout..
The two birds represent my grandmother and I.. I loved making the tiger lillies and I wanted to use the colors that I have on the dress I'm wearing.. 70's child....
Supplies Used:
Cricut cartridge: Home Decor (flourish, dragonflies, birds, little flowers and leaves
Cricut cartridge: Accent Essentials (tiger lilys)

Just Chillin-Stuck on U sketches challenge
Here's a layout I made of my dd for the sketch challenge on Stuck on U sketches.. I had a lot of fun with this one.. I love the Bittersweet paper collection by Basic Gray and I knew I wanted to use it on something special.. I also used SCAL for the title and the tag that the title is on.. I could not decided which font to use, too many options..LOL :O)
A close up of the tag that I journaled on ..
And the title.. I cut the font with SCAL and the fonts are Blueberry and Brockscript (bold). The base is a shape that came with SCAL.
The flower that I made, which you can find the tutorial on our challenge blog (Stuck on U sketches).
inked the edges a little bit with Tim Holtz Distress Ink; Worn lipstick. and then finally added a big white brad.
then the two little flowers.. I did these the same way, except added a white prima flower onto the base so is stuck out a little more.. I also added a little mini button brad to the centers..

Cricut cart: Graphically Speaking (flowers)
Cricut cart: Home Accent (flourish)
Cricut cart: Tags, Bags and Boxes (tag)

Confidence is Beautiful
I must be going throught a yellow phase.. LOL
I love this photo of my dd..she took it herself on sunny morning.. I also love her eyes and I admire her for the confidence she has in herself..
Here's a close up of the photo of her eyes.. I used Paint shop pro to copy the eyes from the original photo and was able to print it on my own printer..
I am so addicted to making these big flowers now that I had posted the tutorial on our challenge blog.. its so great and really does look store bought...LOL not convinced with the button though, I could not find the right shade of blue in my button stash..
Here's the original photo of her.. and yes! half of her hair is black and other half is red.. It looks so cool..
Just a close up of the butterfly.. I did journal a poem around the top and side edge..
It reads"A field of flowers below, it's a thing of joy to see.
But Ah! to me "Tis sweeter far to feast my eyes on thee!".
Supplies Used:
cheers

At 2 it's all about the Pooh..
I really wanted to make a silly layout of my youngest son Adam when he was being potty trained.. He was trying to be such a big boy at the age of 2..
I added the outhouse cause of the whole potty theme..maybe it looks a bit goofy being in the middle of the layout like it is, but I think its ok..LOL
I promised my son that I would cover him up when I uploaded the layout onto my blog.. he thought the little leaf was a cute idea.. He was was such a cutey at 2..
Pooh's hunny pot has a hidden journaling tag in it.. it says " At the age of 2 you were such a big boy! did things all by yourself!"
Here is just a close up of the top of the layout
and finally a close up of the bottom of the layout..

You've Been OverAlled..
Here's a layout I finished for our first challenge at STUCK ON U SKETCHES..
The idea popped into my head one day watching the OverHaullin show on the Discovery channel with my boys.. They love that show by the way and my son got a kick out of this layout.. Best part is that even my hubby, who doesn't really care about my layouts, liked it and was very curious and impressed to where the idea came from... :O)
Here are a few close ups of the details and cuts that I used from the sketch.
My son Aaron.. how cute he was back at the gentle age of 2.. I miss those days so much..
I'm in love with Goofy.. He is just the cutest of all the Disney characters.. He reminds me of my younger son who is too tall for his age.. I think I will start using him more often on my layouts..LOL
The car.. its also from the Mickey and Friends cartridge..
and so is the gas station..
and finally a close up of the title.. I got the logo idea from the show.. I used the George and Basic shapes cartridge for the logo and Dreams come true for the oil splats....
Supplies Used:
