Sketch It-Blog Hop-SOUS/SOD/SOE

Hello everyone! Welcome to a cross promo blog hop from Stuck on U Sketches
and Scraps of Darkness and Scraps of Elegance Design Teams!

You should of arrived here from Renea's blog.
If you just stopped by and want to join the hop please go HERE and get the hop rules and line up..

We've all created layouts based off our February 14th sketch
and the Scraps of Darkness teams have created theirs with the awesome kits from their shop!

Here is my take on the sketch:

Its a layout of my son Aaron and his girlfriend Mari..
I added lots of "love" goodies to this layout.. Tried to make it not so feminine :)

how about some close ups:
added some glossy accent drops to the flowers and also the hearts on the envelopes

I also found Webster's pages Sparklers- clear scalloped button which I added to the center of the flower..

I also added  die cut mail box and lots of love letter's to the layout :)

I also covered the word LOVE with glossy accents to make it pop..

and finally of the happy couple :)

and there you have my layout using this weeks sketch..

You hold the key to my heart card-PPPR reveal

Happy hump day fellow crafters..
Being that its Wednesday, it can only mean one thing.. Its reveal time for us ladies over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon..  For today's project, I decided to share a card I have created with some of the flowers, leaves and vines from the Flower Assortment cutting fine in the PPPR store.. I also nabbed a few other goodies as well to create a pretty card for Valentines Day and its going to be our Wedding Anniversary.. I made sure he wouldn't forget what day we got married by making Valentines Day..LOL

So, lets get to the goodies shall we:

I also used gem flourish, Stickles, a brad and black Crinkle Ribbon.

How about some close ups and I tell ya how I created this card :)

I absolutely love this flower.. So many layers, easily created using the flowers (flower 10) from the Flower Assortment cutting file.. I created two larger flowers and two small ones.. inked the edges with distress ink (Fired Brick) and then bent the petals back on the large ones and forward with the smaller ones.. Using foam tape to attach the layers..

for the black inner petals, I used one of the flower's from flower 11 set  and the white flower is from the flower 9 set both are from the Flower assortment cutting file.. and finally adding a pretty brad for the middle..

Here you can see the layered Crinkle Ribbon, which is from 3 Girl Jam..

For the tiny flower, I used the same flower petal as the large ones, just created it small.. I'm thinking its about 1" big.. The leaves are also from the Flower Assortment Cutting file as well as the white flourish..

and just to add that little something, something.. I decided to grab the heart locket and the key, those are located on the Heart Lock Cutting file..

Here's the key that comes with the heart locket.. I covered it with black stickles and for the background, I used the one of the labels from the Layered Labels cutting file..

here you can see how many layers I was able to add to the card.. plus the title phrase, I found that in the SIL store and thought it was perfect for this card..

Flower Assortment Cutting Files
Here you can see just how big this cutting file is..
So many amazing flowers, leaves and vines to play with and they are all in layers, so you can mix and match..

and there ya have it fellow crafters.. I'm so in love with this card and yes, its a bit much..LOL  just the way I like em...
Now, stop by PPPR blog and check out the amazing projects the rest of the Design team has created for today's reveal and there's always a fun challenge for you to join as well..
So, till next time..
Hope you have a scrap-tastic week

Friendship blog hop-PPPR

Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon's Friendship blog hop.

You should of arrived here from Melissa's blog but if you just stopped by and want to join the hop, please go HERE to get the hop line up...

For today's hop, all of our projects are about FRIENDSHIP and we used the cutting files from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon shop.
I decided to create a layout for my niece kaia and her besty Tess..
I wanted to use bright prints and colors, plus some fun die cuts from PPPR..

This is what I created:

Love those adorable little faces :)
My niece Kaia is on the left and her besty on the right..

how about some fun close ups:

Loved creating this big banner with the title phrase, the banner is located in the Simple Banner cutting file..

The cute little pink car..
It's actually from the Christmas car cutting file, but works great in many other projects.
I adore how Whimsical it is :)

Loved creating these flowers with the leaves..
The large background cut out is from the "Layered Labels" cutting file

I wish I would of added some glossy accents to the centers of the flowers, but totally forgot :)

Such fun expressions  on these faces.. These girls are from the "Let it Snow" cutting file..
Because the cutting files are paper piecings, you don't have to use but a part of it..

She's all "Peek-a-boo!"..LOL

"Say Cheese!"

I added a few hearts here and there, they are from the "Heart Balloon" cutting file. Some of the hearts I added to the branch, the branches are in the Flowers assortment cutting file..
and I added glossy accents to the letters creating a great 3D effect..

This photo I took at an angle so you can see the layers of the flowers and leaves..

and there you have project...

Birthday Card in a Box-die cut reveal-SOUS-Free download

Happy Friday fellow crafter's..
Us girls over at Stuck on U Sketches is having our Friday Die cut challenge reveal today and for this month, I am hosting the challenges :)...  I asked our design team to create any project with the theme
"SOMETHING SWEET!"..
I told the girls to add anything sweet.. cupcake, cookies, candy, lollipops, etc.. This challenge is real versatile and you can have so much fun with it, especially since Valentines Day is right around the corner.. Time to get those cards finished, aye ladies..LOL
and speaking of cards, I decided to create my very first "card in a box!".. I've seen some of these and then found a bunch on Pinterest and decided I HAD to try to give it a try.  I decided to create a template in the SIL software, so I could cut clean lines etc.. and I'm offering that template for you here for FREE.. It will only work with the Silhouette software, but you do NOT have to have the designer edition..
So, don't forget to grab that before you leave :)  It will be located in the Supplies used list..

oh, almost forgot all about my project..LOL
Here is what I created and this was really difficult to photograph cause of the shape...

remember to click on the photo to make it bigger.. and if you are wondering what those funky looking things in the glass jars are in the background, they are coffee pods for my Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee maker..LOL

I added lots of fun Birthday elements to this card in a box.. I hope to send this to my only cousin who's birthday is on Feb 10th.. Wont' tell you how much she will be, cause it might be hazardous to my health..LOL

There is a big cupcake in there with the cherry and gifts on top of it.. lots of pink twine and my fav, white liquid pearls.. Yummy!!
So much fun to make and my next one will be much easier since creating something for the first time always has its difficulties :)
and remember to email me or leave a comment if you are having difficulties or have a question, I answer all emails all the time..

for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette software
Canon Printer

digital papers
white and tan cardstock
twine
MS edge punch

Project Life- DayDream Blog-Free Printable

I've been asked by my good friend Stephanie over at Day Dreamer to created some fun Project life cards and share them with fellow lifers..  I was so excited and started right away writing down ideas and playing with styles..  I think I came up with some cards for anyone could  use on their winter weeks.  They have lots of room for photos and journaling, you can also add your own embellishments to them as well.. They are really user friendly.
I created my Project Life spread for Week 3 and I cut mine with my Silhouette cameo, importing the cards to the software.. I did how every, re-size mine (a bit smaller) since I don't use the inserts, I use a 12x12 chipboard mini album I had purchased at a local craft store..  I'd love to start using the inserts, but they aren't available here just yet..

So, this is what I created with those cards and the add-on cuts:

I know the photo isn't the best quality, but its so dark and dreary here with the clouds covering our skies and all the snow, snow and snow we've been getting...

But I have a great pic of the cards that are available for download at Day Dreamer:

Here is a photo of the PL cards..

and then I got a cute little add-on set to go with it, which is great for mini albums and scrapbook layouts as well:

this one is great cause you can use your punches (circle and/or squares) to punch these out, use your paper trimmer, scissors or SIL software to cut them out..

I want to thank you for stopping by today and do stop by Day Dreamer and grab your free downloads and get started on your project life today..
Hugs
