Sandbox Capers-SOUS


 Another Reveal at SOUS today and this time we were challenged with using an UNUSUAL item on your layout or card..
Oh boy, was this a challenge.. I ran through my house looking for anything that I could use and finally found an old road map in my kitchen drawer...LOL

Here are some close ups:


 I distressed the road map just a tad to give it more of an aged look.. 
In the photo is my dad (on the left), my kiddos and then my hubby who was going through his hippie long haired days..LOL

 My son Aaron when he was about 3 years old.. He is such a little cutey..

 and finally just a close ups of the cars I pieced together and the photo of them driving their cars.

  5. Oh Nanne, this is great! You know one of the things that I like so much about your LO's is how you seem to take some kind of element in your page and make it pop with a contrasting or complimentary color!
    LOL, do you know you do this? hehe!
    Makes me think about how smart keeping a color wheel nearby would be for papercrafting!
    Anyways the photos are fun and I love what you did with this, the map looks great too!

  8. Great page, perfect for little ones! I think the 'Eat My Dust' is their motto while playing with the carss and this page is perfect in every way. Love the colors are perfect with the map. LOVE IT!

  11. Awwwww Nanne...this is the best...just like you...I love the addition of the map and all the distressing. I found this challenge a real challenge cuz I put so much stuff on my layouts as it is...LOL....but it was fun to think outside the box...or sandbox as it were....LOL...I love all the cuts...the vehicles and the road...too cute...and what great pix...don't ya just wish some days you could go back to the sandbox...I do! Great work my friend!!!!
