I swear I will get this cookbook ready for her before then even if it kills me..
She absolutely loves to cook, must take after me after all..LOL
She's always asking me how do I make this and how do I make that?..
and so, I decided a long time ago to make her a scrap style cookbook and finally got to making it today..
This is a 8x8 chipboard album that I will create out of empty cereal boxes.
I figured to have several different categories , like main dishes, side dishes and desserts..
This is a definite dessert category and funny how I started the book with something sweet and fattening, instead of something healthy.. LOL :O)
The photo is of a batch of cookies I made a few days ago, all gone by the way.. Nothing that good lasts too long in this house, that's for sure...LOL
I am hoping that this will stay in her family from generations to come..Unless her dog eats it like he does everything else...LOL :O)
here are some close ups:
The text is pretty small on the recipe card, but if I can read it so can she...LOL :O)
Some Prima flowers and lace to add a mothers love to the book.. :O)
Supplies Used:
Empty cereal box cut to 8x8
cardstock: dark brown, tan and white
papers: Old World stack for base marquee
tan dot papers found at local craft store (don't know manufacturer)
Stickles: brown and gold liquid pearl
Joleen's stickers: measuring spoons
Flowers by: Prima
Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Walnut Stain and Old paper
Cricut cartridges:
From My Kitchen: Bowl, jars, measuring cup, eggs, recipe cards and "COOKIE"
A Childs year: Marquees
Home Accents: swirls around photo
George and Basic Shapes: circle
Plantin Schoolbook: Title font "chocolate chip"
Pop Dots, zig two way glue pen (fine tip)
White gel pen and black fine tip marker for hand doodling
Computer generated recipe created using Microsoft Word
Holes punched using Crop-A-Dile
That about does again for today, I think I will start on the next one now..
I'm so excited about getting this all done..
I do have to make the front and back cover still.. that's going to be a challenge right there...LOL :O)
Have a good one ladies..
Hugs
Nanné
