Best Buds- PPPRproject reveal

Happy humpty hump day fellow crafters..  Being that it's finally Wednesday, I get to share a layout with you that I created as my design team project for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon's project reveal..
I decided to create a GUY layout for today and I used the Best Buddie's cutting file..

Here is what I created:
Simple yet fun fun fun...
I think masculine layouts are the hardest to create and I'm so happy when I find fun cutting files to make it quick and fun..

How about some close ups and details:

I decided to add lots of the stars from the Best Buddies file..
Here is one of them and I used some of my favorite Echo Park papers.. Which by the way, are a hybrid kit that I just printed with my home printer onto white cardstock :)

Love love love this title phrase.. I used chalk on the edge of the green letters to have it pop out more..

My over sized one of the stars, stretched in the SIL software to fit the photo mat.. I then created the inner offset to the star creating the stitched look.. and the photo is of my little boys back about 14 years ago when we went to see the drag races..

and these cute little fellas.. They are from the Let it Snow file.. I just used the heads of the little boy's cutting file.. I'm telling ya, these files are amazing to use in different ways than the norm :)

Here are the other two stars I used.. plus the little white one is the cut out from the circle with the star cut out.. So there, ya get an extra star :)

for supplies used:

Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette Designer Edition
Canon home printer

White cardstock

Pretty Paper pretty ribbon cutting files:

Best Buddies
Let it Snow

Papers: Echo park Hybrid kit
foam tape
inks and chalks
corner rounder tool
white marker

and there ya have it.. Another fun layout to add to my collection :)
Do stop by PPPR blog and check out what amazing projects the rest of the design team has created for todays reveal and there's a challenge up as well that you should submit a project to :)
So, till next time..

So, anywhoooooooooo...
It's reveal time for us girls over at SOUS and today is  HOUSE die cut challenge..  I decided to create a card and I used a birdhouse..

My moved recently and she's going to get this card we move her into a bigger apartment.. I know that sounds weird, but she's in a studio apt and has her heart set on a bigger one which she will get hopefully real soon :)

How about some close ups and details:

The cute little birdhouse comes with this cutting file, which I found in the SIL store..

Love the cute little bird on the branch.. hearts were perfect since its for my mom who means the world to me..  I added the faux stitching with the software, printing it right onto the image..

side view of the layering.. I used foam tape to add the small cloud, branch, bird and birdhouse onto the card.

I added the sentiment to one of the clouds.. Its a lot brighter in real life..
added some drops of white liquid pearls to add some detail..

You're Berry Sweet- PPPR reveal

It's another Wednesday reveal for us ladies over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon and for this week, I decided to make a layout using some of the fun cutting files from the PPPR store..
I'm one of those crafters, where I'm always thinking out of the box.. I love using different cutting files or should say combining cutting files to create fun and whimsical layouts and/or cards..

For today's layout reveal, I actually used images from 4 different cutting files..
and of course my cute little girl back about 14 yrs ago  :)
I added some journaling strips just so I can journal and dates on the layout on a later date..

How about some close ups and details of the layout:

I used the flowers and leaves from the FLOWER ASSORTMENT cutting file..
and I found a fun free font that came already in the boxes.. saved a lot of time :)

My little sweetheart.. She is turning 25 in May, I can hardly believe it myself..

The swirly vines are from the FRIENDS FOREVER cutting file..
I just welded two of them together
I also added some Glossy Accents to the centers of the white flowers..

I also wanted to use one of the cute wagons in the PUMPKIN PATCH cutting file..
just so you can see that you can use those cuts for more than just Autumn projects :)

and finally, the cute yummy strawberry's.. Those are in the VALENTINE'S SWEET'S cutting file.. I once again decided to not use the dipped chocolate part of the cutting file.. Best part is that all of these files come in layers, so you can choose what you want to use and what you don't wanna use :)

Now, don't forget to grab the Friday Freebie:
Smile Title Cutting Files
and there will be a new freebie this coming Friday 2.28
so, you don't want to miss out..

and there's also a fun monthly challenge you really want to participate in:

Project Life- Pocket with a Card

Another Monday Project Life reveal for us ladies over at SOUS and for this weeks challenge, we challenged our design team to create a pocket with a pull out card.. How fun right?...
I decided to create me week3 pages for this challenge, trying hard to keep up with the weeks..
the photo isn't too bad, but its really difficult to photo these and I don't know why, need to figure out how to make em better :)
and remember to click on the photo to make it bigger..

This is what I created:
a bit blurry yes.. sorry about that...
'
loved using the cloud cut out card and I did add some text to it before printing and cutting..
same with the other cards..
having so much fun creating my own cards with the SIL software..

My pocket is behind the week title .. I'm going to add a photo to that card as soon as I get them developed..
I added a die cut snowman, fun word labels along with snowflakes and a border..

and there ya have it.. A short post for today but I hope this has inspired you to come play along with us ladies and share your project life page with us..

We have an amazing sponsor for the month of February  so do play along:

and if you're a big lifer fan like I am, this is the last project life challenge for the month of February..
