Hi fellow scrappers..
I can not believe we are already in May of this year.. Its just crazy how fast time flies.. But with a new month comes a new photo inspiration challenge for us girls over at Creative Embellishments and this month it was pretty fun..
I decided to scrap an older photo of my son Adam and I as we were celebrating Mayday back in 1998 if I remember correctly.. It's funny to see him being so small since now a days he is pushing 6 ft..LOL
Here is my take on this months challenge:
Here is our inspiration photo:
Lots of fun colors and images to choose from..
I actually chose to use the music and the hearts for my inspiration, so I used the "Make your own music" stencil and some textured past to create my background, also using the Distressed Script stamp and my black Archival ink pad by Ranger..
here you can get a better look at the musical notes I added with the textured paste.. I decided to keep them white, since they pop better off of the background paper.
I added some hearts here and there, plus the words Live, Love and Laugh from the Happy Word set to my layout..
I used the Musical notes border chippies to add a border to my layout.. It's a two piece set, so it can be tucked under your photo with ease.. I rubbed with distress ink in Evergreen Bough, which is the ink that I rubbed in the background along with Vintage photo..
added some of the smaller hearts from the Heart set to this corner of my photo and all of the flowers and leaves that I used are by I am Roses..
thank you for stopping by today and checking out my layout
do stop by Creative Embellishments and join our challenge this month..
there are some amazing prizes to win :)
Hugs
Nanné
