Another Friday and that can only mean its Die cut reveal for us girls over at SOUS.. What will she come up with next you ask?...LOL
I know school has started for many of our kids and so for this Friday our Leah chose our die cut challenge and the theme for is:
"SCHOOL IS COOL!"
My kids are all out of school.. My boys are in trade school and my daughter is working.. I had a lot of fun going through old school photos and decided it was time to scrap my son Adams middle school photo, I chose the black and white photo to really make the colors on the layout pop..
so, here is my layout:
I actually created the background paper for this layout myself..
It was really easy using Cricut Craftroom, a few cartridges and my Cricut Imagine..
Using George and Basic Shapes cartridge, I stretch some rectangle shapes from top to bottom, adding different widths, then filled em all in with different colors from the Kate's Kitchen cartridge.. then using the Print only option, I was able to create my own papers.. go me!! LOL
How about a few close ups:
I added some white marker for detail, like the GLUE text on the bottle..
I found this cute title on the Locker Talk cartridge..
My son Adam, he's the youngest of three..
sported some long hair back then..LOL
The back pack also from the Locker Talk cartridge..
I wanted to add a few die cuts for school and thought these were the right ones..LOL
and for supplies used:
Cricut Craftroom for design
Cricut Imagine: printer and die cutter
Imagine cartridge:
Kate's Kitchen for colors
Regular cartridges:
George and Basic Shapes:
rectangles, stars and circles
Locker Talk:
glue bottle, scissors, books, title phrase and back pack
Plantin Schoolbook:
scalloped edge
White and black cardstock
white marker pen
foam dots
inks
chalks
well my fellow scrappers.. That's my Friday post for this week.. Stop by SOUS and check out what other amazing projects the rest of our amazing DT have created and if you're in the midst of creating a school project, submit it to us at sous and you could be picked one of our top three designs..
hope everyone has a scrap-sational weekend
Hugs
Another adorable layout by my hero. Ha. Your eye for color combinations is awesome. Great job on your own papers. And your shading rocks. Wonderful layout Nanne.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing!!! I've not played much with CCR and should play more. It never occurred to me to make my own paper! I've just used the cartridges printed pages. Thanks for the idea and this lay out is amazing! You do beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I love all of those white accents! :)
ReplyDeleteLove how you made the paper-love all the die cuts you used. Locker Talk is my favorite school cart.
ReplyDeleteCannot believe that you made your own striped paper .. golly, you're amazing!
