Little Cupcake- SOUS Sketch reveal

Well fellow scrappers, its officially the first Friday of the summer..LOL  We here in Finland are celebrating our Midnight sun this weekend, meaning the sun will not set for 24 hours.. Since I live down south, we actually get 3 to 4 hours of darkness every night and yes, its really hard to get used to it..LOL
ok..so anyway, us girls over SOUS are having our sketch reveal today and we have an original sketch by our very own Sandi Clarkson.. I had a lot of fun with this one..
and so, here is my take on our sketch:

the story behind the layout, My daughter turned 23 in May and we made a bunch of cupcakes for her birthday party and her dad started calling her "cupcake!" after that.. So, I thought it was a fun way to capture that moment.. The photo is of her on her 4th birthday, she is showing off her mermaid..LOL

and for some close ups:

I pop dotted all of the die cuts on this layout, lots layers..

as for the supplies used :

Cricut Craftroom: design
Cricut Imagine
Cricut Imagine: Yummy cartridge
(die cuts and prints)

cartridges used:
Country life: Banner
Accent essentials: scalloped edge & Marquee
George and Basic Shapes: squares

white cardstock
Bakers twine: brown
foam dots
white liquid pearls

well fellow crafters.. I think that about does it for today..
I want to thank you for stopping by and checking out my project for S.O.U.S and do stop by and join in the fun with us girls.. We'd love to see your take on this weeks sketch.
hugs

  8. Stunning as always Nanné, the cupcakes are so yummy, the banner is perfect, and the girls are too cute. Love it. I am struggling to get used to the light nights again! In Australia it just doesn't happen. Always dark by 7.30pm - winter and summer. It's quite surreal when it's still light at 10.30pm.... Hugs xx
