Discover-Crystal Lake Cave

I know I say it every week, but Thank God it's Friday..LOL
it's been a very long working week for me this week, between my own job and having to stop by hubby's garage to help him out a bit.. I take care of some of the office work and the cleaning, Oh joy!!! LOL
Here is the layout:

I only had a few afternoons to work on this layout, I struggled a lot with the photos that I used and wasn't exactly sure which theme to go with until my best friend lent a helping hand..LOL
She suggested using bats and I just kind of went from there..
It was fun trying out something new.  I've never distressed corrugated cardboard before and just went to town on it..I really love how this layout came out, although the lanterns could of been just a bit bigger..
ok, I'm rambling on and on again..LOL
here is this weeks sketch:
so, lets get to the close ups:

talk about extreme close up..LOL
I found some history on the cave on the internet and decided to write a little bit about it..

  5. First of all I have to give you a hard time, cause this is two layouts in a row with no flowers! I think you did a great job though on this one. Love how you mimicked the stalagmites. I hope I spelled that right. The distressing on the cardboard looks great!
