Halloween themed tag-CEreveal

Happy Halloween fellow crafters.. I'm here to share an "Eerie!" Halloween themed tag I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using some of the "fang-tastic" chippies from the Creative Embellishment store :)  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I absolutely love creating spooky yet fun crafty things, whether it be cards, scrapbook pages or even large tags.  So, with that said, here is what I created for todays design team reveal:

I had a lot of fun playing using different medias on my tag.. I started off by adding some texture paste webbing, then distress inking the edges, adding some stamping using the "distressed script and then the crackle stamps!"  tore up some papers, distressing the edges of them  to create an "old" look to my tag.

I used some Distress Oxides to color my jack-O-lanterns, gluing some black cardstock to the backs, adding some grass to my background  and I painted my treat bag with white paint because I wanted it to stand out of my scene.. I also felt like the bottom of my tag was missing something, so I used one of the mesh pieces, cutting it in half and it ended up looking like a rickety fence . "high-fived" myself for that one..LOL

I love this lamp post and it was a perfect element for my spooky tag along with these creepy trees. I ended up cutting one of the trees in half so I could use both halves on the sides of the tag and when I was looking at my almost finished tag, I felt like it needed a little something so added the branch to the top and then the word Eerie, which I painted  both black and then wrapped some spider webbing around my tag, which ended up being a great touch of detail,  definitely giving me that  "creepy" element I wanted for my tag.

and there is my large Halloween themed tag I created.. so much fun to create and you can as well, super easy.
Till next time..

Travel themed configuration box-CE daily

Hi fellow crafters..
I'm here today to share a configuration box that I decorated using some of the fabulous chipboard elements from the Creative Embellishments store..  I wanted to create something to remember the trip we took this summer to Iowa and Florida from Finland.. We had our grand baby Melissa along with her mom (our daughter) and dad..
Here is what I created:
I used a 6x6 configuration box, took some of the boxes out and attached them to outside of the main box.. I did add the pattern paper before putting it all together.. I ran washi tape over the edges to make them clean..

How about some close ups  and some details of the items I used:

I definitely had to have a plane on the top of my box and then globe with a heart located about where Finland is (in another close up photo)..LOL  used some of the small veneer Polaroid frames for my photos, film strip and the title sentiment Journey.. The large  box needed a little something, so I used the small scalloped square frame, adding some tags to the front of it..

I made some tiny suitcases, piled them up high.. I also used some the stars I had left over from another project I had done previously.. found some cute charms in my stash, like the dice with the letters on it, T for travel..

These are so much fun to create.. I added some paper scrolls ( to look like old map scrolls), the pocket watch chipboard element for time to travel, cause you are constantly checking the time for boarding while at the airport..LOL Here you can see the globe with the heart attached to it.. Those tiny hearts are also left over pieces from another previous project..

I added lots of fun little things to my box to represent what we did or where we traveled.  I used a few of the trick or treat bags, covering them with printed papers,  to represent all of the shopping we did while we were in the States..
and there you have my very first configuration box, but it certainly wont be my last..
Thank you for stopping by today and checking out my off the page project for today's reveal..
Till next time.

Autumn baby

Hi fellow scrappers..
I'm here to share another Autumn themed layout with you that I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments.  I absolutely love these pumpkin corner chippies and I knew I had to add them to a layout.  We here in Finland do not celebrate Halloween like we did when we lived in the States, so I decided to use them as an Autumn element instead of a Halloween element..
Here is what I created:
My daughter sent me these photos of my grand daughter wearing her Autumn coat and new boots.. I fell in love with these photos and I knew they would have to be scrapped :)

Here are some close ups and details of the layout:

I used the new Flourish Stencil 2 and light texture paste to create texture to my background, adding some color with water colors.

I
used the cute little chipboard leaves from the Autumn Leaves set.
I decided to keep the raw chipboard and did  not add any color to them.

For my pumpkins, I colored those using Watercolors by Prima.. They were so much fun to play with..

and finally a close up of the big pumpkin and leaves.. Absolutely love these pumpkins.
and there you have my design team project reveal for today..
thank you for stopping by and checking out what I've created..
Till next time
Hugs
