After working on this mini album for a week, yes you read that right, a WHOLE week..LOL I'm so happy to finally be able to share it with you.. There will be lots of photos, so sit back and relax.. Its going to take some time to go through them all..
Us girls were challenged this week with a SEA die cut challenge, meaning you can use any die cut that has anything to do with the sea.. The choices are endless...
soooo anyway, I created this mini album for my niece Kaia who just got into Florida University and is working hard to get her degree.. She has big plans on becoming a doctor.. Go Kaia!!!
I asked her permission to get some photos of her and her friends from her facebook album and this is what I ended up with:
here is the cover.. I kept semi simple, but did use some techniques that I've never used before.. I created some fake sand using Gesso, fake snow and liquid distress ink. Then added some stickles to it..
the album cover I created myself with a sand castle die cut and a cereal box as I did for the pages as well..
I added a few charms, ribbon and twine..
Here are the first two pages..
My nice is on the right with her best friend Tess..
Title phrases I found in the Silhouette store.
everything except for the crab is from the Silhouette online store and I also added some Echo Park Summer elements which were a digital kit I had bought..
Pages 3 and 4..
What a fun page.. loved the fun title and goes perfectly with this photos :)
s
I love being able to weld a photo to any die cut using the Silhouette design edition software then being able to print it and cut in any shape.. Its how I was able to get perfect circles for these photos..
My favorite pages!! pages 5 and 6
Had a lot of fun playing with the fish net..
The shell is from Cricuts: Paper Doll dress up
the last pages!
The hat is from Kate's ABC's, flip flop and surf board are a Silhouette cutting file..
I also printed a Echo Park element for this page..
the last page.. I created a big pocket.. I figured she could add more photos in there, some journaling and maybe any other items to her choosing..
Cute little bikini and then the fish net, but I cut in white this time..
Whew!! that was a lot of photos..LOL
but I had so much fun creating this album for my niece and I'm so happy stopped by and took a look at it..Hope you find some time to stop by SOUS and check out what amazing projects our design team members have created for this challenge..
Till next time, I hope everyone has a scrap-tastic weekend
hugs

Ok, kidding aside...OMG! You ended up photographing this really well! I know its hard to get something like this pictured right and you did a great job with this!
Each page is a simple masterpiece...but you choices and layers and details. You got some major crafty stamina I tell you. Unlike you, there's a point when I'm like, ok, spent enough time...moving along...(like my rocket page, I was like add a robot? alien? ok no, next thing...)
Whoa, getting chatty...
Laters!
Crafty stamina is right! Detail after detail this is beyond amazing ! One if my faves!!!
