Happy New Year everyone...
I know I was lucky enough to spend a few hours crafting a few days ago and it felt so good after a busy holiday season.. If you feel the need to craft, just stop by our challenge blog S.O.U.S and get inspired.. Since we have lots of spring holiday just around the corner, I decided to get busy making cards.. My first one of the new year will be my Valentines Day card for my hubby.. Valentines day is our wedding anniversary as well and this year it will be 17 yrs of wedded bliss..LOL
So, before I blab your ear off, here is my take on this weeks card sketch:
Once again, I designed the card with CCR and then cut everything with my Imagine.. love that I can match colors and prints perfectly with the Imagine cartridges..
I created lots of layers on this card and so with said, how's about a few close ups:
I love being able to change the colors of the backgrounds of the imagine images.. I created three layers, first one being white, then pink and final the actual image.. everything is attached with foam tape..
The flowers are from the Graphically Speaking cartridge.. They are the halves and worked out great for this card.. I cut them out of two different shades of blue, then inked the edges and manipulated them a bit so I could bend the petals..
The butterflies are from the Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge as are the marquees..
The honeycomb shape is from Accent Essentials..
