Hi everyone...
I made these wooden deco blocks for my best friend who lives in sunny Florida..
She loves coffe just like I do and has her kitchen set up with a coffee theme..
I really wanted to make something personal for her and this is what I came up with..
I actually took a hand saw and cut some pieces from a 2 x 4.. I cut them different sizes, then sand papered them and painted them. When dry, I sand papered the edges and distressed them with Tim Holtz distress ink (black).. I cut the letters using the WINTER WOODLAND cartridge and then added some detail using the HOME DECOR and JOYS OF THE SEASON cartridges..
Here are a few close ups..
Very simple to make and so much fun too..
Supplies used:
cricut cartridges:
Winter Woodland:
text (JAVA)
Home Decor:
swirls
Joys of the Season:
coffee cup and steam
wood 2x4
paints any color
distress ink
sand paper
craft paper
decoupage glue
Thank you ladies so much for looking..
Hugs

ReplyDeleteWhat I think is really cool is the different block sizes, I think that adds a ton to it, makes it more interesting. Great use of the distress inks and I love the font you chose as well!
