Cherish Time- Mixed media canvas-CE reveal

Hi fellow scrappers..

I'm here today to share a project  for the Creative Embellishments monthly challenge..  We have a wonderful photo inspiration challenge for you that Creative Embellishments posts on the 1st of every month.. We find inspiration in the photo to create our projects, plus there is a twist to the challenge.. The twist to this months challenge is to use a clock..

Here is the project I created for our challenge:

I decided to use these little canvas's I have been holding onto.. 

They measure about 4x4.

This is a gift to my mom who actually claimed it as soon as she seen it..LOL she gave me no time to even think of actually keeping it for myself.. but I did create it with her in mind..

How about a few close ups:

I decided to create the time piece in the middle of the canvas's.  These are 4 separate pieces to the canvas, so most of the gears are over lapping to create an illusion of working gears..

I used a Tim Holtz stencil on the edges of the canvas, they used paint sprays to color everything

using some rub and buff on edges.. dry brushed white paint here and there to help get the chippies and flowers to pop off of the canvas.

I took the 5" clock piece and cut into four pieces, which I then attached to my canvas.

Flowers are by I am roses and the green dots are by Doodlebug Designs.

Hi Fellow scrappers..

I'm here today to share a fun summer themed layout I created as my design team project for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons using some the great beach themed cutting files.

I need to go through some of my photos to find just the right ones for my layout.. I still haven't gotten everything completely unpacked since we moved a year ago... 

don't forget your sunscreen and flip flops when going to the beach..

I once again decided to play with my Happy planner and was able to create a fun filled page with some of the older stamps sets along with the new.. I love combining the old with the new..LOL

For the left side, I used one of the dies and created flaps, and then  using several stamp sets, I created a fun filled week..  My sons 22nd birthday is today, so that is the reason why I wanted to make this week a bit masculine.

I have no idea what I have planned for the end of the week, but I left myself plenty of space to write it all down..

Mixed media Painters Tray-CE daily

Hi fellow crafters..

I'm here to share a mixed media style painters tray I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments using some of those amazing chippies from the  CE store..

Here is what I created:

I found this painters tray at a local Harbor Freight type of store and it was fairly inexpensive, came with a set of brushes, which at the time I bought it, I knew that the brushes would be used as decorative :) 

I added lots of layers and different textures using textured paste and several different stencils I have in my stash..

I then added three paint brushes and cut my musical chart in half to be able to place it as a focal point on both sides of my paint brushes..

Finally adding some flowers, Moroccan latice paneling pieces, cheese cloth bits and bling.. I covered most of everything with white gesso and then sprits a little paint in blues, greens, pinks and yellows..
