Lil Racer- Sketch reveal SOUS

Oh, yea its Friday, its Friday, its Friday...LOL  First of all, let me begin by wishing all of you mom's a very happy Mother's Day this coming up Sunday..
so, with that said..LOL  Us girls over at S.O.U.S are having our sketch reveal today and our very own Leah is the designer behind this Friday's sketch.. I picked my brain a little bit and came up with a cute little layout and I've noticed that since I started using my Cricut a lot more, I've been enjoying myself scrapping again.. Don't get me wrong, I love using all types of scrappy goodness.. But sometimes its nice to go back to an all time fav and for me it's my cricut..
yes, I'll stop yapping now..LOL

Here is my take on this weeks sketch:

I had so much fun playing with my little boy cartridges again, which masculine layouts are always a struggle for me but the last weeks have been so much fun making all these layouts for my boys..
I just wished I had found some photos of my son Aaron actually sitting in the little red car, but they are hidden away and I couldn't find them.. Grrrrrr

Here is the sketch :

and for a few close up:

Hmmm.  Wonder if my hubby was a big Earnhardt fan?..
He still is, just rooting for Jr now a days..

My Peachy Keen stamp came in handy again.. Love their facial stamps

I thought adding the band-aids was a cute touch..LOL and what kid doesn't like colorful ones...

My journaling...LOL  I know my boys will get a kick out of it..

I once again designed this layout using Cricut Craftroom..
Here is a picture of the actual design and how it looked before I pieced em all together:
*I realized that I could print the background colors (green, black and light blue) onto one piece of white cardstock and not have to print on three different sheets and waste it by cutting it..

and for supplies used:

Cricut Craftroom for design
Cricut Imagine printer and die cutter
Cricut Imagine cartridge: Kate's Kitchen (color palette)

regular cartridges:

George and Basic Shapes:
Circle and big squares

Boys will be Boys:
Title: Lil' Racer

B is for Boy:
Car and band aids

My Community:
Stop sign and road

Create a Critter:
Grass and clouds

Doodlecharms:
Sun and palm trees

Everyday Paper Dolls:
Traffic cones and landscape

White cardstock
black gel pen for hand doodling
foam dots
inks
white gel pen
computer generated journaling
and finally
Peachy Keen stamps

Well fellow scrappers.. That about does it for me for this Friday.. Do stop by S.O.U.S and join in on this sketch challenge.. It really is a lot easier than you think.. just grab a few photos and your favorite scrappy supplies, we have provided the sketch..LOL
Thank you all so much for taking the time and checking out my Friday project..
I hope everyone has a scrap-tastic week..
hugs

  2. It's darling! I'm with you... sure love my Cricut and can't seem to scrap without it!You sure utilized a ton of carts on this one and I love how you even created your own sketch of the details too! Those cars happen to be a big hit with the kids at the preschool I work at too ;)

  6. What an adorable page and I'm so glad that you enjoyed yourself doing this one because that really makes a difference. Kind of what scrapping is all about. If not for my bug, we might never have met!

I have to laugh that this corresponds with him getting his license. How funny! Have a great weekend, sweetie!
