Scrapping School Memories- WW reveal

Well ladies, this means its the first Wednesday in September.. I hope I'm lying on a warm beach in Florida as you are reading my post..LOL  but, I think the promised weather for this week is cloudy with thunderstorms.. blah!!
so, anyway... Let me share a little layout I created for our scrapbooking challenge over at Whimsical Wednesdays..
our challenge is "Scrapping School Memories!".. Unfortunately, living in Finland we have no school events here.. no football or basketball..no little league..so, I decided to just use one of my son Adam's school photos and make a layout with that... This is his kindergarten photo and he just turned 17 on the 22nd of August.. Not funny how fast time flies, but I think us scrappers have the best hobby since we get to re-live these moments every time we create a page..
yes, I noticed I'm yapping your ears off..LOL  So, lets get to the layout shall we:
I added a lot of different elements to this page... One, we were to use a chipboard element and two, to use digital stamping images that were very generously sponsored to us by: Regina from The Cutting Cafe
I ended up using the apples from the school set she sent us.. colored them with coloring pencils and then chalked them to soften the look.. This is a first for me with the digital stamping images and they were super fun to work with..
and how about a few close ups of the layout:

here is a close up of the little chalkboard I made.. it has a chipboard  base, and used cream colored  cardstock to cut the frame and then ran it through my cuttlebug using the Tim Holtz distressed wood embossing folder.. Inked it and then took some sand paper to it.. cute!!

.and for the supplies used:

papers by. DCWV Grade School stack
cardstock: Black, red, cream and white

chipboard letters
chipboard

Cricut Imagine
Cricut Cartridge: My community : Crayons
Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Vintage Photo
chalks
coloring pencils
stickles
brads
thread
pop dots

well, I'm sure that about does it for the list.. LOL  I know, I say that every post...
I want to thank you ladies so much for stopping today and taking a look at what I've created.. Do stop  by Whimsical Wednesdays and check out what the rest of the DT members have created.. Also, join in on the challenge and you can win yourself your very own digital stamping set that has been generously sponsored to by The cutting Cafe.. Its highly worth it!!
I hope everyone has a wonderfully creative week..
hugs
