I found this photo of my grandmother the other day standing in her nieces garden.
I keep thinking this photo was taken back in the early 90's ..
My grandmother passed away about 5 1/2 years ago and it was such a hard
loss to deal with and I thought I would never get over it.. I was very angry at god for a long time cause I though how can he give us someone to love this much and then take them away..
She died from Ovarian Cancer at the age of 83.
I still have a very hard time looking at her photos, I miss her that much..
Here are some close ups:
The title is her being forever in the Heavens Garden..
I have seen the ribbon bunched up on several layouts and I like how it looked.. so, I wanted to give it a try
I didn't use normal fabric ribbon though, its paper..

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Nanne! The colors are perfect, and all of your pretty flowers are such a perfect touch to the lovely photo. It's funny, I myself was thinking of my grandmother over the weekend. She had a garden, not of flowers but of vegetables and I was thinking I should do a layout to honor her. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteNanne this is stunning, such a beauitful tribute to a special person in your family. I love the soft colours, your layouts are so inspirational. All the inking is awesome and adds so much more depth to the embellies. Will have to give the ribbon technique a go.
