I'm No Martha Stewart

Happy After Christmas everyone..
Christmas Eve morning I made an Apple Pie cause my husband really wanted one... I'm not much of a pie maker, but as soon as I tasted it I knew it would make a great layout for our Christmas album..
and of course, I couldn't wait to get working on it..
The title just popped into my head while I tasted the pie..Funny how things just work out!!
This layout took me most of two days to design and create.. I have enclosed the design file once again if anyone else decided that Apple pie was their choice for Christmas dessert...LOL

For the Design File just click HERE

Here are some close ups of the layout and all the supply details..

I love this apple pie sign..its so cute.. OH! and I used the cut out for the signs, instead of having to glue every single letter into its rightful place...LOL

This is a close up of the title and my youngest son Adam.

I love the these two little sock critters.. It was my first time making these, so their not exactly perfect...
the nose on the bear (yes! its a bear..LOL) slid a little and now you can see the glue, but its not that visible on the actual layout..

few close ups of the faces.. they are cute aren't they?

and the bear!!..LOL

Here is a close up of the little gingerbread men I made.. the first batch that I cut, I had accidentally used too dark of a brown and when I inked the edges with black, they looked like I had actually burnt the cookies.. funny!!

Counting Christmas Blessings

TGIF ladies.. I'm so happy its Friday and I have the whole weekend off..
anyway, I spent the last week working on this layout.. I have the tutorial for the making of the poinsettias on our challenge blog Stuck On U Sketches.. I hope you get a chance of checking us out.. I love pushing myself to see what I can up with next..
so here are some close ups and the details to the making of this layout..

Here is a close up of the title..
I used my SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) software for the title.. the font for the word "CHRISTMAS" is called "BoyzRgross" and the cursive font is called "Palace Script"..

and here is a close up of the poinsettias..
The tutorial can be found at SOUS by clicking HERE.
I did add some more little detail to the big poinsettia than the smaller ones.. it was just easier that way..

and a side pic of the poinsettias.. its pop dotted and put together piece by piece..  it was a lot of work, but I absolutely LOVE how it came out..
