Tri-Fold flip album for CE daily

Hi fellow scrappers..
I'm here to share a tri-flod flip album I created of my Grand daughters first few months as my design team project for Creative Embellishments. There are still a few things I would like to add to the inside of the pages, like little sayings for example..

Here is what I created:
The album measures about 8" x  5.5" when folded closed.

I glued down some diamond dust to the baby blocks, they are really shimmery in real life.. very difficult to photo :) I also added some to the big pink roses to add shimmer as well..  I decided to add the corner pieces to the cover of the album, which I thought looked great, bringing your focus to the middle of the cover..

When you first open the album, this is what you see.. I added photos to the waterfall flip on the right side, but I added them to the top of the flips.. It just ended up looking better, where you were able to keep the printed papers visible.  Like I said before, I wanted to add some sayings here and there, so the page with her grandpa holding definitely needs some text..

Then, when you flip the middle page up and to the left and then the right page to the right,  this is what you see. I added lots of happy little baby photos to this album and I was able to date each set.. Just so we can follow her growth and how much she changes on a weekly basis.. I do have to fill in the birth card, her weight, height etc..

and finally once the three little tags are flipped over you see the very back of the album.. I added a flip photo mat to the top and then crib to the bottom, which is actually a gate chippy that I trimmed down to look like a crib..

close up of the very back page of the album.. I added some papers to the back of the crib to resemble bedding. Those little tags do pull out and I have plans for those, journaling and a few small photos..
and there you have my tri-flip fold album.. try saying that three times fast..LOL  If you would like to create your own album, there are lots of how to videos available on youtube, just do a search "Tri-flip fold album"..
Thank you for checking out my project for today's daily reveal..
Till next time..
hugs
P.S here are the chippies I used to decorate my album:

Sweetheart layout

Hi fellow scrappers.. It's Nanné here to share a layout with you that I created of my little grand daughter using lots of fun spring themed chippies..
Here is what I created:
I was so grateful for getting to spend some time with her over the Easter weekend and of course, I had to take some pictures.. They grow up so fast at that age.

How about a few close ups:

I added lots of little pink details to the background papers :) and for the title, well I only rubbed a little white gesso to the ends, kept it natural.

I added a little cluster of flowers to the right side of the layout with a few hearts from the heart panel.

I love these flourish eggs and wanted to use them on this layout.. She is my little spring chick after all..LOL
I also added some detail using some stamps and memento ink.

I stuck with my color scheme of pinks and whites by adding the flowers and then dry brushing them with some white gesso.
and that is all for me for today..
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my design team project for today.. Till next time.
Hugs

ARMY: Adventure and Explore

Hi fellow scrappers and CE lovers..
I'm here to share a masculine layout I created ad my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using some photos of my youngest son Adam on his way back to the army base after his weekend leave..
Living in Finland, the army is mandatory for all boys age 18 and up.. They have to serve basic training anywhere from 6 months to a year.. depending the field they get signed up for.. My son is doing 6 months and so far, he has enjoyed his training..

Here is the layout I created for todays reveal:
I tried to add lots of military style colors and chippies that went with my theme.. Masculine layouts are a definite challenge for me, but they sure are fun,  the papers I used are by 7 Dots Studios.

Here are a few close ups:
I basically just painted everything with black gesso and then dry brushed them with white paint to add some detail.. The flat back pearls were actually light blue, but gessoed those as well..

Lots of different mixed media stuff for the background. stamps, stencil and paints.. which was the best and messiest part of the project. :)

I added the clock to represent his time that he needs to be back on base.. they usually have from Friday evening till Sunday night to spend time at home.. he likes to un-wind and then go back, its like a full time job..

I really like the mesh paneling, which I tucked behind some of the papers and then used the positives from the harlequin panel, which I cut apart and glued down in a pattern on my layout..
Thanks for stopping by today.  Till next time
Hugs
