Fathers Day Card

Happy Father's Day to all fathers out there.. Mine is in the hospital preparing for liver surgery that he will have tomorrow.. I called him just a hour ago (long distance) and he's hanging in there..
I wish him a happy father's day and told him that we would see each other at the end of next month. Habanero and I will be visiting him in Florida July 28th till August 7th.. I will be there for my birthday..hope to have lots of fun..LOL
I don't have any close ups of this card, its my very first one using the cuttlebug (thanx again Sabrina and girls at Cuttlebug blog)
I'm so new with the cuttlebug that I can't recall the name of the embossing folder that I used. I'm sooo sorry for that.. i
I also used my cricut for the marquee and title..
chipboard for the buckle and some Emphemera <--how ever you spell it..LOL 
for the star and pocket watch..

Discover-Crystal Lake Cave

I know I say it every week, but Thank God it's Friday..LOL
it's been a very long working week for me this week, between my own job and having to stop by hubby's garage to help him out a bit.. I take care of some of the office work and the cleaning, Oh joy!!! LOL
Here is the layout:
 
I only had a few afternoons to work on this layout, I struggled a lot with the photos that I used and wasn't exactly sure which theme to go with until my best friend lent a helping hand..LOL
She suggested using bats and I just kind of went from there..
It was fun trying out something new.  I've never distressed corrugated cardboard before and just went to town on it..I really love how this layout came out, although the lanterns could of been just a bit bigger..
ok, I'm rambling on and on again..LOL

I found some history on the cave on the internet and decided to write a little bit about it..

Boys at Play


TGIF everyone..
Been a super busy week for me this week and I hardly had time to catch my breath...LOL
Us gals at SOUS are having our weekly reveal and this week we didn't have a sketch, but were challenged to emboss on our layouts, cards or altered projects..
I chose to emboss the title base..

I didn't use any cricut cuts on this layout.. (I know, I can't believe it either...LOL)
I just wanted to see what it felt like not using the cricut and I think the layout turned out ok, but it would of looked so much better with some choice cuts...LOL  :O)

Engaged Mini Album



One of my daughters best friends just got engaged and is having a get together/party to celebrate the engagement and I really wanted to make her something special..
I got these wonderful Papers by "IMAGINISCE"  To Love & Cherish from Generations Crafting.. So in love with the papers and to go along with fab papers I also got some Rub-on's by Bo-Bunny, which of course got me addicted to run-on's now..LOL  and I'm not even going to tell you how addicted I am to Prima flowers .  :O)

I absolutely love this little mini album and it got me thinking that I should make more of these.. This one was actually pretty quick and easy, only took me yesterday morning to complete the whole project..

Perfect Preemie! SOUS

TGIF everyone..I love thats its Friday.
and especially this Friday cause my oldest son is graduating today.. 
We have a spring party at his school Saturday and he will get his diploma with the rest of the graduating class..I have plans on charging up the batteries for camera and taking lots and lots of pictures Tomorrow..
For a minute there, I thought this day would never come...LOL  :O)
I'm so proud of him for sticking it out and staying in school.  On June 16th we will find out if he has been accepted to a career based school starting next school year for the next 3 to 4 years..(*The educational system is so different here in Finland than it was when I went to school in the States)
Keep your fingers crossed everyone..
well, I could go on and on about what a proud mom I am, but lets get to the other good stuff..
We had a great sketch this week by pagemaps and here is my take on the sketch.

I had big plans on adding journaling strips to this layout with a cute little poem that I had found, but my printer hates me and refused to cooperate..LOL
So, in all of the frustration, I even ended up misspelling PREEMIE, but decided to just leave it be.. :O)
