Perfect Preemie! SOUS

TGIF everyone..I love thats its Friday.
and especially this Friday cause my oldest son is graduating today..
We have a spring party at his school Saturday and he will get his diploma with the rest of the graduating class..I have plans on charging up the batteries for camera and taking lots and lots of pictures Tomorrow..
For a minute there, I thought this day would never come...LOL  :O)
I'm so proud of him for sticking it out and staying in school.  On June 16th we will find out if he has been accepted to a career based school starting next school year for the next 3 to 4 years..(*The educational system is so different here in Finland than it was when I went to school in the States)
Keep your fingers crossed everyone..
well, I could go on and on about what a proud mom I am, but lets get to the other good stuff..
We had a great sketch this week by pagemaps and here is my take on the sketch.

Here is my layout:

I had big plans on adding journaling strips to this layout with a cute little poem that I had found, but my printer hates me and refused to cooperate..LOL
So, in all of the frustration, I even ended up misspelling PREEMIE, but decided to just leave it be.. :O)

Destined 4 Greatness

Here is my oldest son Aaron, now age 16.. Gosh, how fast the time has gone..
This is his school pic from this year.. He gave it to me the day before yesterday.. I just couldn't wait to get started on it..
I have a hard time embellishing boy layouts and didn't want to over do it with this one.. I love just the stars and keys.. and the blue goes great with what he is wearing in the photo.
Here's a close up of the title.. I just welded all of the letters together and then cut it.. this using the A Childs Year Cartridge.
I rolled the end corner of the top paper and punched holes and then threaded some light blue lace through it.. I also added a tag of his name and the date of the photo.
I used some grunge board keys I had in my stash.. Used some Tim Holtz distressing ink on them and then glued them to the layout.. These keys represent all the possibilities that will open up in his life once he finishes school.. Doors opening, etc..
