Here's a layout I made this morning.. I used the vine tutorial of Sandy's that we have posted on our challenge blog STUCK ON U SKETCHES

I'm sure you all have guess by now, but I love lilies with all of my heart, especially the pink ones..

I have been in a rut lately cause of a family members health issue, so it was nice to be able to put my mind to other things again..

I thought it was ironic that I used Prima marketing papers , but made my own flowers on a vine, which that company is really known for..LOL

Here are some close ups of the layout.. the colors are a bit lighter than what the photos show.. Its a dark autumn here in Finland, so the lighting is off a bit..

Sweet Summer

HI ya ladies..

Here's a little something I've been working today.. I'm so glad I got it finished..

The colors are not as deep and rich as they are in this photo.. its late and the lighting is bad..

but the end result is still the same..

I found this photo of me in my grand mothers belongings.  I spend a lot of time with her at her summer cabin when I was little and those are the best memories I have of my childhood..

I have added some close ups of the layout..

The two birds represent my grandmother and I.. I loved making the tiger lillies and I wanted to use the colors that I have on the dress I'm wearing.. 70's child....

Its Elementary My Dear

A school layout I made today of my oldest son Aaron when he was in 2nd grade.. This is before his hair started turning brown..
In Finland school starts when you are 7 yrs old. He is 9 yrs old in this photo, he got held back one year cause his Finnish wasn't good enough for them to allow him to advance up to the 3rd grade. He had a real hard time learning how to understand the finnish language..
Here's a close up of him and of the title.. I used SCAL to cut the title.. I love font possibilities with SCAL, you are not limited to just a few fonts.. I wanted the title to look like a childs handwriting, I think I succeeded..LOL
I wanted a welcoming feeling to this school layout, so I added a teacher standing waiting for her students. I love dressing these little characters on the cartridges.. she is from My Community cartridge.
I tried taking a good photo of the school building I put together last night.. it took a while trying to figure out the layers, but I think I did a good job..LOL
I also added the trees losing their leaves to represent Autumn.. which is when schools starts..LOL
I love love love this little school bus on the My Community cartridge.. I had so much fun putting it together..
I hand doodled all over this layout, adding what looks likes like stitching.. but I really like the way it all ended up looking..

Have Your Cake

Our wedding day.. Nothing fancy about that day.. We got married On valentines day back in 1996. Court house wedding..LOL Our families all lived so far away, we didn't want to make a big deal about the wedding and kept it hush hush..
We did later in the evening invite all of our friends over for some cake.

Here's a close up of the title "Have your cake and eat it too!".. I thought it was a cute title. and knowing me, I don't do serious...LOL
Here my hubby is wearing his cake...LOL I got him good..but he was nice and didn't get me back..
I thought to help clean his face..LOL We had so much fun that night..
I hand journaled a little bit about that night.. Added some pewter charms on the journaling tag (knife and fork)..

My Little Boys In Blue

My boys when they were small, back in 1995.. It was December in Florida, so it did get a little cooler at night and so the boys had to wear these footies to bed.. I always bought the same color for both boys, so they didn't have to argue over anything..
Here is a close up of the title and flowers.. The title came from me looking at the photo and thinking to myself "Aaaaaaaaaw, my little boys in blue!"..
I actually did a little journaling..LOL I cut a scalloped circle and it says "My little boys in blue, Oh what shall I do?, but love the both of you!".. I thought of that all by myself..LOL and that's why I don't journal...LOL
and I just have to say how much I hate the cardstock I am stuck buying in this country, I have a brand new blade on my paper cutter and look at the edges of the picture mat.. it's just awful. almost as if the paper is so full of pulp that it just won't stick together..
Here is just another close up of the title..I wanted it big and bulky to take up a lot of the room..

BABY word album

This is my very first word album so please be gentle with me..LOL :OP

A good friend of mine gave birth to a bouncing baby boy 4 weeks ago.. She lives a little bit away, so I don't get to see her everyday. I'm planning a visit for Thursday June 4th. I will be giving this to her as a surprise..
I misplaced my O-rings, which means I have to buy new ones..thats why their missing from the pic..LOL
This is the first letter, of couse..duh!.. She loves bold colors, so I didn't want to use pastels..
Added a pull out tag so she can journal something in there to go along with the photo that I have matted ready for her.
Here she can doodle the time and date the baby was born, plus add a photo.

I cut the WHOLE album using my Cricut personal elec.dye cutter and the Plantin Schoolbook cart.. I cut it 5" tall and started with the whole matt lenght for the "Y"..and then just made them shorter by letter..
Just welded a long tag to the letter using the design studio software.
I also thought to recycle some of the cardboard that you get with the paper stacks you buy.

New Addition..

I have been wanting to make a layout with this picture for so long and finally got the chance today.. I added the flowers (blue and pink) to go along with what Amber is wearing..She loved this outfit..
Here is just a close up of the flowers and her outfit, and the new baby of course..LOL
This baby boy is Adam Daniel, my youngest son.. This picture was taken back in 1994..that seems like such a long time ago..

I added this for Amber.. this is refering to Amber and Adams bond.. they are still very close and have always gotten along with each other.. friends!!

Tonka Toddler..

I love making layouts of my kids when they were little.. Brings back so many memories that you tend to forget along the way through out the years..
Here's my oldest son, Aaron when he was about 2 yrs old.. We were at his aunt Cathie's house.. He loved the big playschool trucks her kids had..
the story behind the layout: Aaron's daddy and Grampa are both Auto service technicians.. so, I wrote a little poem around the edge of a little boy wanting to be just like his daddy and grampa.. I thought that was cute..

"I Do" Layout..

I got inspired yesterday and started working on the "I do" Layout for the wedding album. I didn't want to use Pink again, so I decided to use creams and blues.. I like the way it looks, a little rustic and old. I hope the Bride will like it as well!
The text reads: "I love you... Today...Tomorrow.... and forever"

• Papers: DCWV-Luxury stack, cream cardstock and HOTP Sarah Papers-blues.
• blue paper flowers-stickled and randomly placed on the LO.


• self made butterflies-light blue cardstock, chalked edges with dark blue and black chalk, sticled with blue and silver, added some blue wire and black fuzzy yarn for body.
• Ivy leaves by Rayher bought at a local craft store-stickled with lime green
• "Tahdon"(I do) cut using Opposites attract cart and cricut. (1 1/2")
• ring set bought at store-Jolees
• Swirls underneath small flower cut with Accent Essentials- (2"<--I think)

I added a few close ups!.. I really took my time with this layout and made sure all the little detail was perfect, meaning I let everything dry before adding more..LOL

Trick or Treat LO

I REALLY wanted to make a layout that didn't involve any pink or flowers..LOL

I've had these halloween pics for years and finally had the time and vision for a great layout.. I'm only mad that the "Treat" almost didn't fit the sign.
