Generations together-CE monthly challenge

Hi fellow scrappers.

It's the first of the month and that means its a new monthly challenge over at Creative Embellishments..  For this month, we have a great photo to inspire you and for a little twist, you much use a leaf/leaves..   I decided to grab an old Polaroid I had in my photo box that was taken by my mom and has my dad, my daughter and myself in the photo.. Definitely a favorite of mine..

Here is the layout I created for this months challenge:

I found these papers in my stash and liked the embossing on them, nice and shiny..

I layered my papers using brown cardstock as the backing and then went to town with my embellishment..

How about some close ups and details:

I love these chipboard Polaroid frames.. I added a curly heart to corner of it and then added some flowers and a chip board leaf.. doing the same for the upper corner, minus a heart :) 

I added a branch and then decorated it with flowers and chipboard leaves.

The generations title is in the Heritage word set, I love the effect i got with my Gelatos..

Heartfelt Creations and Creative Embellishments cross promo

Hi fellow fellow scrappers..

I'm here today to share a layout I created as my project for our cross promo for Creative Embellishments and Heartfelt Creations.. 

Here is my layout:

I absolutely fell in love with this sunflower paper set and decided it would go great with some of the pumpkin ivy and the new brick pieces embellishments from CE

how about a few close ups:

I did a lot of fussy cutting from the paper line.. I love sunflowes, so these were pretty and wanted them scattered all over my layout :)  I also added a bird house among the sunflowers.

I painted the blinds and the pumpkin ivy using Gelatos by Faber Castell 

for the centers of the sunflowers, I added some glossy accents and then Prills from the Heartfelt Creations store.

Spooky altered paint brush-CE daily

Hi everyone... I'm here to share an altered paint brush I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments ..

I absolutely love Halloween and all things spooky, so I thought a Halloween themed paint brush would be pretty cool..

I used lots of different medias which include texture paste and gesso, plus some of the awesome Halloween themed chippies from the Creative Embellishment store.. 

I tucked the spider web behind the paint brush and added lots of flowers to in front of it.. The spiders are wood veneers, which I gessoes, painted and then added some black flakes by Finnabair, using a gel medium.

I knew I needed a word of some kind to go with the Halloween theme and the Scary word set was perfect..

Handsome layout-CE daily

I'm here to share a masculine layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments using the new Chess pieces set, which I absolutely loved... 

My son Aaron loves playing chess, so those chess pieces and Bo Bunny's Wild Card papers were absolutely perfect for my layout..

How about a few close ups and some details.

These Polaroid style frames are awesome, I used the biggest frame in the Handsome frame set..

I distressed mine with sand paper and then used Faber Castell Gelato's to add some color..

I used the Circle panel to create some of the fun circle features on my layout.

I fussy cut some of the domino pieces from the Wild Card paper set.

The chess pieces I first colored with white and grey Gelato's, then added some white paint with a dry brush..
