Baby On Board-Mini Album

I had been planning on making something super special for my co-worker who is expecting a baby.. She is going on maternity leave this Friday (day after tomorrow) and I was afraid I wouldnt get this done before then, but here it is.. All complete!!
She isn't due till November, but she manages the Produce department and those boxes are big and heavy, and so its best she didnt' strain herself and just stay at home and enjoy the rest of her pregnancy..
I have added lots of cute little things in here to keep a journal of her progress and so with that, here is the mini album I created for her:

It is a maternity shirt (cut from Everyday paperdolls cartridge) mini album.. it measures about 6x6!!

When you flip the first page, this is for her to write down when she found out she was expecting and then when she actually gives birth, I also added a photo mat for her to put a picture of her while is is pregnant..
I actually used my Cricut Imagine to create the clock.. white cardstock and colored in the clock with the color choices.. super fun and easy!!!

We all gain weight and evetually our feet disappear right?..LOL  I created this cute little cut with my cricut!! the clothes are from the Everyday Paperdolls cart and then tummy and belly button I created using George and Basic Shapes.. I also added two little journaling and photo tags that pull out from behind the dye cut..

Cravings anyone?  foods that make you ill?.. been there, done that...LOL  I thought it would be fun for her to write down all of the foods she really craved and then also all the foods that she didn't want to eat.. I have pull out tags and pockets on both pages..

I know she will be going in for her first Ultrasound next week and I can't wait for her to be able to put all of the information on this page.. I added a big photo mat for the ultrasound photo and then a pocket with tags for all of the journaling.. hopefully she will write down her ultrasound experience!!

I remember when I was pregnance that it felt like the baby was doing a boogy inside.. my boys were both over 8lbs, so I was running out of room..LOL  Amber was a preemie, but even her stretches took my breath away..
I thought she could add photos of her in here when the baby first starts moving and then if they get lucky enough to get a pic of a kick or something.. lets keep our fingers crossed.. I also added some pull out tags for journaling and photos..

Great Beginnings-Frosted Designs Reveal

I have been absolutely dying to make one of these layouts with the faux metal look and It only took me a few hours to actually get this one made.. Fasted layout I've made yet..LOL
Everything you see underneath the metal is cut out of chipboard just so it pops off of the layout..
Here is my take on our Sketch:
the story behind the layout is....
My husband opened up his own garage here in Finland specializing in Amercian cars and this corvette is one of the first cars he got to tamper with a few years back.. I printed the photo in Sepia, to match the metal feel and look of the layout, I think my inks might be running low or something, cause it came out awfully red..LOL
and this is my first attempt at this style, so its not perfect just yet..LOL

and here is the sketch that I followed when I created this layout:

I dont' have many close ups, but here are the few that I do have...

and for supplies used:
black cardstock: base
electrical tap
dry wall tape
black craft paint
chipboard sheets
metal art tools by: Walnut Hollow
Tim Holtz Crackle paint: walnut stain
cuttlebug
Tim Holtz gears dye cut plate

Cricut Plantin Schoolbook: font
Cricut Indie Art: Wrenches

I seen this amazing faux metal technique video on youtube and thought "how cool is that!"..
Here is the link to her video and just so you know, Its not my video so be kind and leave her some love..

Thats it for the supplies.. wow, what a short list.  LOL
I'm off to enjoy my work day now.. I promised my hubby that I would start putting in more hours at his garage this week, even though I already work a full time job at a grocery store managing the bakery and dairy departments..LOL   hopefully this won't interfere with my crafting, cause that aint' gonna work then..LOL
have a great rest of the week ladies..

and here is our sketch and its by Liz Qualman.  She is an amazingly talented lady !!

And for a few close ups:

Loved creating this celebration banner.. I've seen so many beatiful big banners that lots of really talented ladies have created and I thought why not create a little one for a layout..

Once again I made my own flowers using the "Mother's Day Bougette!" cartridge..
