SMS and CE product swap blog hop

Now for my project! 

I have been wanting a small pin board for the longest time..just something small enough to pin notes that show case things coming up, due dates etc..   I finally found some Adhesive cork sheets at a local craft store here in Finland and they were perfect for the 8x11 frame I had purchased a few weeks earlier..  Now, I added a little touch of mixed media, flowers and some chipboard elements and I have myself a pretty cool looking pin board.

This is sitting on my desk  and I can't wait to use it.. Need to go buy some push pins first..LOL

How about a few close ups and some details:

I absolutely love these wood veneer scrabble letters, the set comes with so many that I have lots of other projects in mind that I'll be using the rest on..

I used the Oh Say Can You Sea Shimmerz Paint spray ink on my white flowers, my cheese cloth and on my frame, which I had added some texture to with stencils and texture paste.. I decorated my frame using some of the gear embellishments (Gear Corner set) from the Creative Embellishments store.

We all get these little light bulb moments do we?..LOL  I thought this was a perfect embellishment for my pin board frame.. added a few cork butterflies, to match my background of course :) 

and there you have my mixed media pin board.. It's going to get a lot of use..

CE monthly challenge reveal

Hi fellow scrappers.

It's the first of the month and that can only mean its challenge reveal time over at Creative Embellishments.. We have an amazing photo for inspiration and you can always use the twist for the challenge..

Here is the inspiration photo..

I loved the colors used in the photo, so I used that as the inspiration to my layout.

I used my favorite Bo Bunny papers and Creative Elements chipboard elements to create my layout

How about a few close ups and some details:

I love to use these rings for frames for smaller photos..

I clustered some of my flowers around the main frame, this leafy vine frame is sooo pretty.. I used some watercolors to paint my chipboard elements.

I also added some art stones by Prima Art Extravagance.. they are so much fun to use and add such a fun element to your page.

I found some purple flat back gems in my stash, so added some to the center of the snow flakes ..

Baby Girl mini album-CE daily

Hi fellow scrappers..

I'm here to share a cute little baby girl mini album I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, its a gift for my daughters friend.. This mini album measures 7x5 and its a flip fold album.. meaning, there are lots of flip-able pages in it ..

I used some of my favorite Bo Bunny papers, lace, trim and of course CE chippies..

When you first open the album this is what you see..  I tried to keep this album semi simple, but once I started adding flowers, I just could not stop and the album got pretty chunky :)

I love the polaroid frames in the CE store and I wanted to add the "family" frame so the new family could add their photo here with their new family member..

I also added pages with pull out tags and tuck behind photo mats.. I added some chipboard words along with flowers for this page.

I love the chipboard buttons, so I covered some with papers that match my album and I also used some alphabets to create my sentiment..

and this is definitely one of my favorite pages..

These all flip open so she can add lots of photos to this album

Sweet layout CE daily

Hi fellow crafters.. 

I am here today to share a mixed media style layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments for my daughter who loves riding horses.. In a way, she has made it her hobby to love and care for them..  Once in a while, I will go stalk her facebook photos and grab one to surprise her with by creating a fun to look at scrapbook layout..

This layout was pretty easy to create.. Using some of your favorite papers, background stamps and of course chipboard elements along with some flowers, you can create a fun to look as page for your album..

In the upper corner  of my page, I tucked a mini pocket watch chippie under my photo mat, added the hat along with some flowers and a black doily.

For the bottom, I added my title.. which I painted white to help it pop off of the page.

I love that rope , so I knew I had to have that on my page, tucked that to peek out from behind some of my flowers.. 

and finally the photo of my daughter, which I wanted to highlight by adding the Wanted photo frame to ..

For the chipboard elements, they are all gessoed and then painted brown with my paint dabber, adding some black to distress the edges and then dry brushing them with some white paint.

Hi fellow scrappers... 

It's the first of the month, which means its Monthly challenge reveal over at Creative Embellishments..
I created a layout using a photo of my husband that took a few years back while we were on a road trip..
Here is the layout I created:

I used some of my favorite Bo Bunny papers, CE showered with love hearts and some chipboard valentines hashtag words..

I used my paint dabber by Tim Holtz in Vintage Photo to color my chipboard elements.  The flowers are by I am Roses.

these hashtag valentines words are awesome..
