Berry Sweet- SOUS reveal Aug 5th

Oh god!! I'm another year older.. yes, yesterday was my  birthday, the BIG 40.. oh no!! LOL
maybe that only means I will be a bit wiser and more creative the coming year.. one can only hope, right ?..LOL and with that said.. our sweet Leah over at SOUS has been busy creating some super cute  and original sketches for us girls and this is my take on her sketch:

I had so much fun playing with my Cricut Imagine.. One of the best and cleverest features I have to say is being able to combine your old cartridges with the Imagine cartridges.. meaning, you can now join the prints off of the imagine cartridge onto your original cartridges.. What I did was, cut the sun image from my Doodlcharms cartridge, but added the background print off of the Imagine More cartridge..this way, everything matches..Wooo Hooo, go Provocraft!!  I did go through like 6 sheets of white cardstock though..LOL

and before I forget, here is the sketch leah made for us girls...

and for some close ups of the layout:

My sweet little Amber when she was just a tot.. she had the deepest blue eyes and the cutest little pouty lips.. miss her being so small..  Here you can see a close up of the sun cut with the background print..

The basket I also cut using the Doodlcharms cartridge, added the background print and then the strawberries are cut using the Country Life cartridge.. all cut using white cardstock and my Cricut Imagine..

The title I cut the same way, using my Country Life Cartridge.. First printing the color onto the white cardstock and then cutting it all out with my Imagine

This is a close up of the stamping I did on the side and then added some Distressed stickle dots to it.. love the way it came out.. :)

and another close up of my darling Amber.. She was a little chunky monkey back then...LOL  You'd never believe she was a preemie and only weighed  4 lbs 12oz when she was born..

and for supplies used:

Cricut Imagine
marquee and all printed paper
Cricut cartridges:
Country Life: Strawberries and title
Doodlecharms: Basket and Sun
Tags, Bags & Boxes: Hidden Tag
All cuts were combined with background prints from Imagine More cartridge

Tim Holtz distress Ink: Peeled Paint and Rusty Hinge
Flowers by. no clue: bought from craft store
Stickles: Distressed Shabby Shutters

Summer Mini Album- Blog Hop July 29th

Happy hopping ladies and I certainly hope you have been inspired by the mini's you have seen so far.. You should of arrived here from Melisa Waldorf's blog !
The mini album I chose to work with is a 6x6 light weight chipboard mini.. You can check this out by clicking HERE..  There were lots of pages to work with and I also chose one page element and it was the film roll.. I  was only able to incorporate one onto my mini album because I chose so many different dye cuts to decoreate it with..

so, here is the mini I created for out hop:
The cover..
Since this mini is mainly of my boys, I wanted it to look masculine and fun.. there are no flowers in this mini..LOL (I can hardley believe it myself...LOL)

On these pages I have added the photos of us first leaving the dock.. we sat outside and watched the scenery.. It was a beautiful day out that day, but as always a bit windy on deck..LOL

the photo on the left is of my boys and my niece Kristiina.. then I have just photos of my boys that I took while we were on the cruise..

On the very top floor of the ship, was a play area for the kids.. they had a pirate theme Guitar Hero challenge going.. all the boys stood in line waiting for the chance to play.. This was the first time my boys had ever played Guitar Hero!!  these photos are of Aaron
and these are of Adam..

it got boring standing in line waiting for your turn.. so, I got lucky enough and snapped a funny photo of Adam pretending to be pouting and then some more of him playing..
and then finally some mixed matched photos that I really wasnt' sure what to do with it, but wanted to add them to the mini album anyway.. My mom is on the right and behind her photo is a pull out tag with a photo of Aaron on it playing...
Well ladies.. Thank you all so much for hopping on by.

.. remember to leave a comment and become a follower to be eligle for the fabulous candy give away ..
