Giggles layout-CE daily

Hi everyone..
I'm here to share a layout I created  as my design team project for Creative Embellishments, using some of the new panel chippies in the CE store.. I absolutely love the numbers panel and thought it was a fun element to add to any page.. I added it to this childs' themed layout I created of my grand daughter, who we caught laughing while holding my phone..
Here the layout I created:
I used a piece of white cardstock and I inked the edges using  Wild Honey Distress Oxides, and then stamped a stitch border.. I then used some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxides and inked up the middle and added some stamping, using the Distressed Script stamp and finally adding some texture paste..
I used a small paper stack of baby themed papers in my stash of papers, which I then cut up into strips and attached those to my background using cardboard pieces, to add layers..  Cutting up your little paper sets is a great way to use them on larger projects.
I cut the panel into smaller pieces, painted them white and tucked them underneath some of my papers.. I did the same with the small Name plate, cut that into pieces and tucked it underneath the photo mat, to give it some detail.
The title I created using my die cut machine and I used one of the paper clips from the word clip set and used that to highlight the year these photos were taken..
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my design time project for todays reveal..
Till next time

Under the Sea reverse canvas

Hi fellow crafters..
I'm here to share a fun 8x8 reverse canvas I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments and that was inspired by my little grand daughter who loves watching The Little Mermaid and her favorite song, that always gets her attention is "Under The Sea!" and I had a lot of fun using some of the fun sea themed chippies.
Here is what I created:
I added lots of little details and lots of different medias to my canvas.  the bottom of the canvas to look like sand, I used some Snowflake pasty by Finnabear, I allowed it to dry and then sprayed it with different tones of brown mists.. adding some small art stones, dry brushing them with white paint.
I glued down a Prima mould element and then got a small flower cluster going.  For the big Round Ships Windows, I painted it using Distress Oxides and then black distress ink on the edges.. glued down some flat back pearls, which I then dry brushed them with white paint.
My octopus was a lot of fun to color.. I gesso'ed him first, then rubbed him with Fired Brick and Wild Honey distress oxides, keeping lighter areas, then for final touch of detail, I added some brown paint drops with Studio paint and then rubbed the top with Prima Wax in Vintage Silk.  My little bottles, I rubbed those with distress oxides as well and then added Vintage Silk wax. Glued down some Art Stones (to look like barnacles) and finally added some glass beads in copper.
For my cute little mermaid, I glued some gold flakes to her pretty tail.
For this octopus, I pretty much did the same technique, just used a few different colors of Distress Oxides.
This canvas was a little bit of work, but so well worth it at the end.. Lots of little details, but those are the best ones to create :)
Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out my design team project.
Till next time

Lovely-CE daily

HI everyone... I'm here to share a layout I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments using a photo of my grand daughter.  I've been having so much fun creating layout of her for her first year album, not necessarily lots of firsts, but just little things we do when she is at our house..  and as a proud gramma, I absolutely love snapping photos of her just doing nothing at all..LOL
I decided to use the fairy chippies and create a whimsy layout, just how casing her sitting on the floor playing with her toys.. One of her very favorite past times..

Here is what I created:
This layout was so much fun to create, just using a stencil and some texture paste, plus some sprays.. I wanted to keep the colors green, white and yellow..

How about a few close ups and some details on how I created my layout:
For the fairy door, I lightly sponged it with white paint, keeping the grooves brown for more detail.. I added some crystal Stickles for the shimmer.

I thought this cute little fairy sitting down holding her butterfly was just perfect for my layout, because of the photo of my grand daughter sitting down..

Here is colose up of the other fairy and some of the details with flowers, stencils and some background stamping I did..

I cut up the square lattice panel and added bits of it here and there.. These two pieces I tried to make it look they were connected in the middle with small cluster of flowers..

and finally I added the words Lovely to my layout from "Isn't she lovely" set,  I felt like I had so much going with this page, that if I had added the whole word set, it would of looked a bit cluttered..LOL
and there is my whimsy baby layout using some of the cutest little fairy chippies, cut up panel and that adorable fairy door..
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at what I had created for todays daily reveal..
Till next time
