Up to Snow good- Sous reveal

Are we at the end of January already?, We just started this year and were almost 1 month down already, yikes..

well, no matter..LOL Its finally Friday and I get to share a layout with you that I created as our die cut challenge over at SOUS.. We chose SNOWMAN as our die cut for this Friday's challenge.. Its winter and I'm sure that a snowman is a perfect cut to decorate your winter themed projects right?..right!!..LOL

so, here is my project for out reveal:

This is very first layout that designed and cut using Provo Crafts new Cricut Craftroom free software..It wasn't easy at first, but it got easier as I kept at it..LOL

so, Mr Provo craft, I take back every single bad thing I ever said about CCR..LOL (grovel, grovel)

This is what it looked liked on the virtual mat once I had designed it.

now, you see the title: let it snow..well, I cut that "let it" off cause I didn't want it..LOL

I did make a few changes once I started actually putting the layout together..

All of the prints and colored cardstock you see have been cut using the YUMMY imagine cartridge and of course, my Cricut Imagine die cutter.. which I love love love ...LOL

and I have lots of close ups for you this time:

The title and branch.. lots of white liquid pearl drops..

This is my doggy jery, a.k.a Lil Fckr..LOL

he gets into so much trouble when he goes out back in the patio..

He loves barking at EVERYTHING that moves,

even falling snowflakes and planes that are flying above us..

My snowflakes I attached with foam tape and then added stickles to them.

Love is in the Air challenge-DT Whimsical Wednesdays

Wow!! Is it Wednesday already?.. LOL with that said I get to share a little home decor project that I made as our Whimsicial Wednesdays challenge this week was to create a Valentines Day/ Love themed home decor project..

I have been spending a lot of time on youtube lately , I started watching videos on how Cricut CraftRoom worked and then just kind of got side tracked and found a cute video on some SVG files, but figured I could create the same style of project using my Cricut and some choice Cartridges. Yes, I was right..LOL

Here is my project that I created as my DT project Whimsical Wednesdays:

The rosette measures 9" all around, so its a big one..

Valentine's Day cards-DT for YMH

Happy Monday ladies...

I'm here to share with you a few Valentine's day cards I created as my Design Team project for Your Memories Here this week..

I got this cute Prima 6x6 stack called Sparkling Spring

and I loved the soft flowery and spotted prints that were in there.. I wanted to create a few quick and simple cards and since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I figured no better subject than that..LOL

so, here are my cards:

This was the first card I made. .Using the pinks and greens from the collection.. Hand made the rosette by cutting two strips of paper measuring 1.5" x 6", then using my paper trimmer and bone folder, I creased it every half an inch.. then used really strong adhesive to hold the ends together and easily was able to create a cute rosette..

did some computer generated journaling, which I then hand cut into little banners.. MS punch for the butterflies and liquid pearl drops..

and then for second card.. I used the same paper collection which is the Prima Sparkling Spring 6x6 stack.. I'm telling ya, I'm going to be creating a lot of cute little projects with this stack, cause its packed with paper..

For this one, I used the greens and dark pinks.. plus some of the flower prints.. Distressed the edges and made another rosette to match.. this time cutting three strips of paper instead of the two, I prefer this rosette better, folded a lot easier as well :)

I inked the edges with distress ink and punched a few circles for the center.. adding some liquid pearl to accent..

Another computer generated sentiment, which I once again just hand cut onto strips of scraps I left over from the other card.. plus I punched a few butterflies and the lace trim..

Precious- SOUS sketch reveal

OMG!! TGIF finally...LOL I've been counting down the days and if you've stopped by earlier this week and read my posts, you'd know it was true..LOL

well.. lets get the good stuff shall we... Us girls over at SOUS are having our sketch reveal today and we have an original sketch by your's truly.. I am really enjoying creating sketches for our challenge blog SOUS and I'm hoping that you all ladies are enjoying using them, and if you do please submit us your projects over at SOUS cause we'd love to see them..

so, here is my take on this weeks sketch:

This is a photo of my youngest niece Eve who just turned 3 last December.. she is most cutest thing ever.. the photo was taken by her big sister Kristina who is 17yrs old, who is the oldest of 4 girls (yes, 4 girls) .LOL

all of the papers on this layout I cut using my Cricut Imagine and Lori's Garden cartridge.. so is the title banner and the flourish.. I also made a big blue flower using the Mother's Day bouquet cartridge and the title from Kate's ABC's cartridge, the colors on the cuts are from the Lori's Garden cartridge..

the little and medium size roses are by Prima and the tiny pink ones are from I am roses

Anything goes- Whimsical Wednesdays Challenge

two more working days and then vacay for me.. Oooooh yea!!! LOL

can ya tell I'm excited much...??

alright, enough of me dreaming and on with the post..

Us girls over at Whimsical Wednesdays are having out Wednesday challenge reveal.. We were asked to create a card with HEARTS and I decided to use one of the wonderful sentiments from the Whimsical Fun collection.. I have big plans for this card, its going to get sent to my BFF that lives in sunny Florida..

so, here is my card for today's reveal:

I know I complained a lot about the Cricut Craftroom in the beginning, but I am eating my words .. I created this card using the CCR.. It was fun and easy and I got it finished in no time at all.. I guess it just took a few tries to get familiar with the layout of CCR.. the colors of all the cricut cuts (hearts and flowers) are colored in using the color pallette from Lori's Garden cartridge.. I then used my cuttlebug and the Victoria embossing folder to emboss the hearts and that hand cut tag.. The butterflies are a MS punch..

here are a few close ups:

added a few drops of white liquid pearl for some accent and I also rubbed each embossed heart with Ranger distress ink: blue hearts: blue denim, Green heart: Peeled paint and brown heart: Vintage photo..

My flower and leaves are cut using the Mother's day bouquet cartridge, two different flowers on there, plus I inked the edges using Blue Denim and Peeled Paint distress ink. I once again colored the flowers in by using the color choice in CCR.. then added a Basic Grey brad to the center..

I also added some lace ribbon, which I ran some thin brown ribbon through and then attached it to the bottom of the card using Glossy Accents.. plus, you can get a close up of the sentiment, which I stamped it onto some green cardstock, cut it to size and then rounded the corners, which I inked with Peeled Paint ink and pop dotted onto the tag..Whew!! a lot of little details, but it was so much fun to put it all together..

Friendship card- DT project for YMH

Happy Monday scrappers..

I've started to count down the days till Friday..LOL My 9 day winter vacation will start Saturday, so I'm as chipper as they come..

and with it being a Monday today, I get to share a project that I have created for Your Memories Here.. I'm trying to challenge myself to see how many versatile projects I can make using the same paper stack.. I am still working with the Prima Printery Collection and I used some of it to create this Friendship card..

yes, I'm really enjoying myself making cards..LOL I guess every once in while we have to push ourselves over the comfort zone wall and try something new..

well.. Here is the card I created:

some black cardstock to make the base of the card, printer papers in the greens and creams.. MS around the page punch and some punched butterflies.. quick, semi-simple yet elegant.. I think at least..LOL

This rosette, I quickly made using some of the green printer collection papers, my paper trimmer and bone folder.. punched the edges before I folded it, punched two small circles, one for the bottom and one for the top.. glued them all together using quick drying glue.. inked the edges with distress ink and dotted 3 pearl drops, which is actually gold liquid pearl..

Hand cut the banner and did a computer generated sentiment, which I printed onto the printery paper.. here you can see the white liquid pearl I used to accent the punched trim and the butterflies..

I also pop dotted the banner and the rosette..

so, with a few items that can be right at Your Memories Here, you can create beautiful cards with out all the fuss..LOL

Winter Fun die cut challenge- SOUS

Winter has hit hard this week and I'm just glad I got to stay inside in the warmth and scrap...

Us ladies over at Stuck On U Sketches are having our die cut reveal today and this time we chose a theme instead of a cut.. The layout is of my son Aaron when he was just a young guy who liked to play ice hockey a the ice field that the city sets up every winter just behind our house. I was lucky enough to get a few photos of him.. My camera back then wasn't anything to brag about, that's for sure..LOL

I embossed the little steam swirls with the Victoria embossing folder.

I cut the scarf from the winter woodland cart, I actually cut the scarf in two pieces, tucking the ends under the photo mat making it look like its wrapped around it.. clever I think...LOL

the mittens and cup of hot chocolate that I'm sure my son had once he came back in from the cold all rosey cheeked, I miss those days :(

Wow, is it Wednesday already?.. this year has certainly started to speed by ...LOL

well ladies.. with it being Wednesday, I get to share a Whimsical Wednesdays project with you all.. You know, I have started creating cards and I am in absolute Aaaaaw.. I've had so much fun...

I absolute love how this card came out.. I used K&Co papers and actually these papers were something that I had mail ordered and wasn't too happy with then once I got them, but they are awesome on this card..LOL you just never know right?

Design Team project for Your Memories Here

I'd say thank god its Monday, but I'd be lying...LOL

Well, I am glad I get to share another project with you that

I created as my DT project for Your Memories Here..

I have had so much fun with the grab bag I got from Kristina over your YMH, it came with the Prima Printery papers and lots of goodies to match..

I decided to make my own flowers for this layout, so I used the Tattered florals cut die from Sizzix's and then lots and lots of Ranger Distress ink and Tattered Angels glimmer mist..

and once again, I grabbed my cuttlebug and did some embossing on the flowers, which its kind of hard to tell from the photos..

I did use a lot of cardstock on this layout and then picked out two sheets of paper that were white with black from the Printer Collection.. I absolutely love this color combination, its so not me...which is a wonderful change.. Need to do some of these layouts more often..LOL

here are a few close ups:

I covered the big flower with Helmar Gemstone glue cause that stuff is amazing and it dries completely clear.. I have to admit, I prefer it to anything else out there..no kidding!! and after wards dipped it in some crystals which I can't think of the proper name for it right now..LOL

The big tag i hand made.. The font I cut with my cricut Imagine and my Gypsy, using the Blackletter font cartridge, cutting it out of black cardstock and adding some white liquid pearl drops.. plus, I once again adhered the string of pearl with the gem glue..

Nope, that is not me in the photo...LOL

Its my mom on her wedding day last May.. She got re-married.. she had on a beautiful turquoise dress and a white shawl ..

and finally a close up of the other flowers.. The smaller blueish flowers are a punch..

Hot Shot-SOUS reveal

TGIF ladies... I'm so glad its Friday and I get to share with you a layout I created for SOUS and the original sketch that I created..Woo Hoo..LOL The sketches have been fun to make let me tell you... But, I wanted to step away from the girly layouts and try a masculine one and so, I grabbed a few photos of my son Aaron at his 18th Birthday party.. just about to cut the cake..

Let it Snow- SOUS die cut reveal

Yikes, Tomorrow is New Years Eve already?.. Wow, how fast time flies when your having fun..

I had a lot of fun putting together this layout for our die cut challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches aka SOUS.. We were challenged to use "SNOWFLAKES" on our project (any project), but once again I chose to make a scrapbook layout and used a photo of my daughter that she had a friend take one day while they were outside in the cold.. I absolutely love this photo of her in her furry coat..LOL

here is my layout:

I once again used a lot of different techniques on my layout, one being heat embossing.. Which I have several close ups of:

I used clear embossing ink , swirly stamp and some

Winter Wonderland embossing powder.. it glimmers!!

I also thought it kind of resembled the wind blowing..

Here is a close up of the journaling I added.. plus all the pink Rhinestones I added..

My big snow flakes.. Which I cut from the Winter Woodland cart.. Love these!! cut them in white cardstock, then inked the edges with Blue Denim Distressing ink, pop dotted them for an 3d effect and then added a small punched snowflake to the middle of the smaller ones, plus pink Rhinestones..

The title I cut from the Winter Frolic cart, added a few MS punched snowflakes and then rhinestones.. you can also see my branches here, cut those from the Winter Woodland cart..

and finally my daughter Amber..

Happy New Year-W W reveal

Yikes! Can you ladies believe that we're almost done with yet another year..

I can't believe how fast time is just flying by, but then again if it didn't fly by, I would have nothing to scrap about..LOL

so, with that said, (LOL) us ladies over at Whimsical Wednesdays are having out Wednesday reveal today and out theme is "Happy New Year!" and we were to create a card/project using a sentiment from one of Stephanie's cute stamp sets, I chose to use one from the "Everyday Sentiments!" collection, or we could post a favorite card/project from the previous year.. I decided to make a new card, since it's become my newest obsession..LOL

Family- SOUS reveal Dec 23rd

Panic has finally set in, only one more day till its Xmas Eve and here in Finland, we actually do our Christmas thing on the Eve.. We get together and have a big dinner, then the Santa actually comes over with a big bag of gifts, sits around and sings xmas songs with the kids and finally passes out all of the gifts.. About a hour later, he hugs the kids and tells them to be good all year till next Xmas.. Ok!, my kids are in their late teens and there's no way, I can pull off Santa coming over...LOL so, were going to be doing all of the above, except for the Santa bit...

but, even in my last minutes of hecticity, I did get a chance to get a layout done, at the "St.Nick" of time...(I'm so funny, ain't I?) I absolutely loved the sketch that our very own Sandi Clarkson created for this week, and I wanted to do a Xmas layout, since I had not done one yet this year..

Home for the Holidays- WW project

Happy Hump day ladies...

That means only two more working days till the weekend.. Wooo Hoooo..LOL

and since its Wednesday, I get to share a project with you that I created as my design team project for Whimsical Wednesdays reveal..

We were to create a Christmas/Winter or New Years Home Decor Project.. It took me a few days to think about what I wanted to create, for inspiration I grabbed Stephanie's stamps and had a peek through and when I seen the "Elves at Work!" quote, I knew that a little work shop was about to be built..LOL

Here is my project:

I hand cut with my paper trimmer some chipboard sheets into several pieces and then used brown cardstock to piece the house together.. I also cut strips of white cardstock, used my MS edge punch and made the lace trim..

I will be adding a family photo to the back of it.. so, I remember what year I made this and how old my kids were.. times just slipping through my fingers now a days..

The little elf and gifts were cut from the Jolly Holidays cartridge, font is cut using the Winter Woodland cartridge and the Christmas tree from the Winter Frolic cartridge.. Snow flakes are a MS punch and both banners are hand cut.. added some wintery ribbon trim and lots of bling and silver stickles..LOL

plus, the stamp.. Oh that adorable quote that I used from the Snow Much Fun collection..

Seasons Greetings card- DT for YMH

Happy Monday once again ladies and its only 6 more shopping days till Christmas..LOL I'm done shopping for my kids for this year which is great, usually I'm one of the late comers..LOL

For my design team project for today, I made another Christmas card using the Prima Printer collection that I received in my grab bag, plus I also used the little Prima roses and the bling that also came in the baggy of Prima goodies.. Plus I had some prima lace left over from previous projects, the string of pearl I once attached with Helmars Gemstone Glue , title attached with zapdots for dimension and the title I cut with my Cricut Imagine.. Tried to mimic the little blue rose, by dabbing cold paint on the edges of the letters after I inked them ranger distress inks. Hmmmm.. !! LOL

Holiday Baking Recipe Mini- DT SOUS

Whew!! talk about working on this till the last minute...LOL I got it all done, except for all of the recipes that I plan on putting in the inside..

I made this recipe mini as my design team project for Stuck On U Sketches and our die cut challenge for this week.. Which is "What are you BAKING for the holidays?" and my answer to that question is: everything that's going on the inside of the recipe book, these are all of our Christmas favorites..

and I actually plan on keeping this for myself and one day, I will hand it down to the one that's the most worthy..LOL

This will hold all of the secret recipes that I have which have been passed down to me by my grandmother, my mother and my mother-in-law...

So without further a do, here is my recipe mini:

It measures 4.5" x 7.5" and the base of it is heavy chipboard..

I made this entire mini using my Cricut Imagine and the Kate's Kitchen Cartridge..

I cut the salt and pepper shakers in two to tuck them underneath the sides of the photo..

there is a pull out tag that tucked in the bowl.. it has "grandmothers recipe for a loving family!" on the tag..

I added a little baking history and how its defined..LOL

this is my little half page, where I added a tag pocket out of the bowl of eggs.. I figured I would write down some helpful hints as I come across them..

Holiday Card-Prima DT Your Memories Here

Happy Monday again ladies...

Its Nanné again and I want to share this cute and easy holiday card I created using some of the Prima Printery papers and some Prima bling..

Here is my card:

Its a 5 x7 card, I cut out of white cardstock.. Then I layered different colors of white and black Prima Printery papers, that I got in my Prima Grab Bag.. distressed the edges with my edge distresser and finally, I cut six triangle shapes out of white cardstock, punched the edges with my MS edge punch and inked them with Ranger Distress Ink, Finally adding some Prima Say it With Crystals in green on some of the branches.. layered the tree with Helamar Zapdots to give it some dimension.. Gold ribbon is from my own stash.. cute, quick and pretty simple..LOL

Friends- SOUS sketch reveal

TGIF ladies..

Winter Fun-Whimsical Wednesday reveal

Wow..Its already Dec 7th and Christmas is just around corner.. Eeeeek, haven't done much shopping yet for the kids, they are so grown up that I haven't a clue what to get them.. Plus they already have everything..

My bad!! LOL

We had our first snow fall Monday night and it got me in the winter spirit.. Us girls over at Whimsical Wednesdays were challenged this week to create a Winter or Christmas themed layout and we were to use something sparkly on it.. I chose Stickles, my favorite of all things and the papers themselves actually have some glitter to them.. Which worked out great for this challenge!!

I decided to use the FREE SNOWMAN HUGS sentiment from the "Snow Much Fun" collection. I thought it was perfect for this layout..

Inspired Tags- DT project for YMH

I know you've seen Tim Holtz tags for his 12 days of Christmas tags..if, not you are missing something amazing..LOL
Well I was beyond inspired when I stopped by his blog and seen how he created some of them and decided that I wanted to do a little something other than a card or layout, so I grabbed some cardstock and a few supplies and created two tags Tim Holtz style. :)

These are both cut 4x6 from white cardstock, that I inked with several shades of Ranger Distress Inks,
Tattered rose, fired brick, broken china and faded jeans

then stamped them with a Tim Holtz Visual Artistry stamps, that I got for an amazing bargain price on Ebay about a year ago..

for this first one, I chose pinks and blues..
this is the first tag I created and I wasn't that happy with the end results.. was having a hard time finding just right colors to embellish with..LOL It turned out pretty good being that I am not a tag maker..

I randomly stamped an image on the base of the inked cardstock, then punched out some snowflakes using my MS punch, added some fuzzy trim, Prima flowers (Whisper collection)and Prima Mistletoe.. The base of the title is a Prima Reistant Canvas, which came in my Prima grab bag, the title I cut with my Cricut Imagine in white , then added some adhesive and white Micro Beads, plus some Prima Eline pearls to the middle of the inked snowflakes.. These really are glimmery and shiny, but the inside lighting just didn't do them justice, sorry about that..

finally I punched a hole on to the top of the tag and added some pink ribbon..

and then for the Blue and white tag:
which I am very happy with this one.. it came out a lot better!!

once again, I rubbed the tag with Distress ink, then stamped the diamond image using Ranger Embossing Ink and white embossing powder, heat set it.. stamped a filmstrip image onto white cardstock which I again used Ranger Embossing ink and Ranger distress embossing powder in rust.. heat set that as well.. rubbed some vintage photo ink all over the edges and then folded it up and glued it down to the tag.. I found this Prima flower in my stash, the twigs and leaves are a die from Tim Holtz. The snowflakes are a MS punch, which I once again added some Prima Eline pearls to .. The top note and title I cut with my cricut, sprayed the title with Tattered Angels Frosty Glimmer Mist and glued that down onto the tag using Helmars quick drying glue.. whew!! a lot of work..LOL

I finally rubbed the top corner down with some white liquid pearl and then added drops of baby blue liquid pearl to the diamond stamped image..

I had so much fun making these tags.. You can too with just a few choice supplies from right here at Your Memories Here..

I can't wait to put these tags to some good use, maybe on a card or even a layout.. super fun and easy..

I used the sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments collection.. There are some really cute fonts and sentiments on there.. I actually loved this one and the coffee thing just hit me.. (might have something to do with me a coffee drinker..LOL)

I once again made this card using my Cricut Imagine and the Kate's Kitchen imagine cartridge.. the sentiment was PERFECT for what I had in mind and I absolutely love how this card came out.. used one of my very favorite MS edge punches as well, plus inked everything...x)

Whimsical Designs Sneak Peek Day 1

Well hello my lovely's...

Whimsical Wednesday Card reveal

I think I'm getting the hang of this card making thing..LOL
I had some of these free papers that come with one of the scrapbook magazines I order from the UK and when I seen the colors, they were awesome.. soft blues, creams and browns..
I then opened up my DS software and started looking around for some cute Winter quotes and found this one on Winter Frolic cartridge, then the mittens and scarf came to play from the Winter Woodland cartridge and the topnote from the Sentimentals cartridge.. I did use my Imagine again and the Loris' Garden cartridge for the soft colors.. The light blues, creams and browns..
I wasn't able to use the DS directly with the Imagine, but since I knew what size cuts I needed, it was a cinch to use the Imagine.
so, here is my card for our challenge:

I did a lot of different things on this layout, for one... I heat embossed the very edges using Winter Wonderland embossing powder.. its got a little sparkle to it, makes it almost look like a frosty window..LOL used my MS snow flake punch and punched the snow flakes, popdotted all of the images and then I had a glittered snow writer pen thingy, which I added that onto the tops of the letters, hoping it would dry white, but it ended up drying kind of clear.. go figure!! LOL aaaaaand everything is inked with distress inks..

Forever Missed- DT Project

Its yet another Monday and I am so excited to share this layout with you that I created as my DT project for Your Memories Here using the papers from the Prima Grab Bag and one of the stamps from the Tattered Angels Architectural Trims.. Those stamps are amazing and I am finding more and more uses for them..

so, here is my project for today's reveal:

This layout will have a photo of my dad who passed away last February.. I just don't have the strength yet to rummage through his old photos.. all in due time :)

I wanted to play around with the papers for this layout.. so, I cut some and rolled them into little rolls, which I glued down to the bottom right hand corner using Helmars quick drying adhesive, adding some paper swirls and then ribbon..

I wanted to stick with the black and white, but then decided to add the little blue flowers because my dad had light blue eyes.. I thought it added a nice touch of accent color to the layout..

I once again added Crackle Accents to the face of the clock, but you can't see the crackle cause the base of the clock is black..LOL another lesson learned..LOL

I found a Prima Lace Rosette in my stash and then hand journaled the date he passed away on the top.. I love how versatile these papers are.. You can use them for any occasion!!

and the stamping.. Oh how I love these stamps.. I used the Brick work stamp and Ranger Embossing ink, with White Embossing powder.. Then heat set it.. I love it!! looks pretty cool.. I thought about rubbing some Black ink on it, but then at the last minute decided to just leave it as is..

and I once again apologize for the bad photos..

There really isn't any descent light in Finland this time of year and so, there's nothing I can do.. so sorry!!

Oh yes!! its finally Friday and I get to share yet another sketch reveal with you all.. Us girls over at SOUS have been trying to come up with some original sketches but when we seen this one, we knew that it needed scrapping..LOL

Card reveal-Whimsical Design DT project

I'm not a card maker by any means, but I'm telling you... The Cricut Imagine has opened up my eyes and seriously has made me think twice about creating cards.. So, with that said, Us girls over at Whimsical Designs (formerly known as Whimsical Wednesdays) are having out Card challenge (Add texture- any theme goes) post today and yes, I have decided to join the card team.. gulp!! LOL

Here is my very first card I have created as my design team project for Whimsical Designs.. Be gentle with me..LOL I did cheat just a little bit, by browsing around some card maker magazine for inspiration.. The design of this card is my own, but its as if I followed a sketch and I did scraplift the recipe cards..LOL..

Let me tell you how much I love my Imagine, I loved it a lot before but now, I love it even more.. I created this card fully with the images and colors from the Kate's Kitchen Imagine Cartridge. I did however, Use George and Basic Shapes and From My Kitchen cart as well..

Best feature ever on the Imagine, is to add the imagine cart and a regular cart into the imagine at the same time and this way, you can cut what ever shape in what ever color or pattern you want that is on the Imagine cartridge..

The green embossed base is a rectangle cut from the George and Basic Shapes cart, I just colored it with the green from the Kate's Kitchen Imagine cart, print and cut.. same thing with the recipe cards, colored the recipe cards with a brown from the Kate's Kitchen Cart, print and cut.. Super simple and love that the colors all match.

Yes, its a Lipton tea bag...LOL

for one, I love that the yellow matches the color scheme and two, we don't drink any fancy tea in my house..We're all coffee lovers :)

Lovely ladies-DT project for YMH

Happy Monday ladies...

I am practically dying to share another project I created with my handy dandy Prima Grab bag,.. from Your Memories Here that I received the Prima Printery collection and it had lots and lots of goodies in it, but I wanted to play around with color this time and see exactly what colors work together..

Here is my layout I created:

So, I started out by getting some brown cardstock and a few stamps.. I first used one of the smaller stamps in the Tattered Angels Architectural Set, Ranger Embossing ink and clear embossing powder.. stamped it randomly on the top of my layout and then heat set the embossing powder.. Rubbing Distress Ink over it afterwards and realized it almost resembles burlap.. how cool is that ? and I got lots of ideas running through my head on how else I can end up using it.. Hmmmmm

I cut a 8x8 piece of black cardstock and then use one my MS around the edge punches to make the base of my photo mat then started layering the Printery Papers.. choosing the blacks , tans and creams this time..

I distressed the edges and got everything glued down..

I then played around with some of the flowers in my stash and decided to use the aqua colored Prima roses.. In the grab bag comes a big selection of different colored flowers and the aqua rose with the gem in the middle, is one those flowers.. Loving it!!

I did some fussy cutting on this layout .. There are so many wonderful images on these papers and I didn't want to leave anything out.. the clock above the photo is fussy cut from the same piece of paper as are the little circle images.. which I used my 1" hole punch and punched those out..

I also used some of the Gem glue to glue down the string of pearl, which I love this stuff cause it leaves no glue to see once its dry.. I used to use glossy accents, but it left a shiny streak. Not this stuff.. Its perfect!!

I did add some Crackle Accents to the face of the clock, which I love how old and vintage it turned out.

see.. No glue streaks under the pearls..

I did end up using some of my own embellishments, like the feathers,lace, ribbon, string of pearl, some of the flowers, leaves, fragment charms and pearl halves..

I also grabbed a Tim Holtz fragment charm and crackle accented a piece of the punched paper onto the back of, adding some ribbon and then pop dotted it behind the flowers in the left corner.. I noticed that it did not crackle as I had hoped..LOL lesson learned!!

These smaller flowers (its a set) you see in this upper photo also come in the grab bag. I love the colors and go well with so many color variations..

I had a way too much fun putting this layout together and trying out new techniques..

Die cut reveal SOUS-Thanksgiving Table

another Friday reveal for us ladies over at SOUS today and for this Friday's die challenge is "THANKSGIVING TABLE!".. You can interpret that in anyway you want.. I chose to do a little home decor project for my kitchen table.. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Finland and even though my husband is American and I grew up in the States, we usually just have a nice dinner for Thanksgiving, but don't do the whole big Turkey dinner.. we save that for Christmas..LOL

Here is my take on our Die Cut challenge for this week:

I found this cute idea on Pinterest when Wanda Boardley first introduced me to Pinterest.. From looking at the photo of the pumpkins, I knew right away that they would be simple to make and thew really were...

the big pumpkin stands up 5.5" and the little one 3.5" , I cut twelve 5.5" circles for the big one and then six 3.5" for the small one, using my George and Basic Shapes Cartridge and my Cricut Expression.. folded them in the middle, inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink and then glued the backs together.. super simple!!

the tops I just cut a 1"x 2" of cardstock, glued the ends together and punched a 1" circle out of paper, using a 1" circle punch.. I did ink the cardstock before assembly.. The leaves I cut from the A Childs Year cartridge, inked them (tutorial can be found on my blog under Leaf tutorial) and then the swirls, I just twirled strips of paper (inked before before twirling) around a small rounded paintbrush handle..

I have one close up of the pumpkins, its a little bit blurry.. No natural lighting in this country this time of year, its day light outside, but the sun is hidden away behind the mountain of dirty clouds that have taken over our beautiful blue skies..LOL

I like the way they look at the end of my dinner table along with a mason jar candle holder I created with some dry beans and lentils, and with my ceramic squashes..LOL had to buy those when I seen them...

Prima Printery collection- DT for YMH

Living in Finland, I rarely get the opportunity to get me some Prima papers.. I was sooooo over joyed when Kristina from Your Memories Here sent me my very first prima grab bag.. I was like a kid in a candy store..LOL It was hard to choose what papers and flowers I wanted to scrap with first.

Last Monday I shared my first layout that was made using the Printery collection and now today, I get to share the second one..

I am so in love with these colors and the prints are amazing..

so, here is my layout:

I once again started out with simple white cardstock.. Crinkled it in hands.. rubbed some distress over it to catch onto the crinkley bits..<-- sounds so funny LOL Then grabbed my favorite stamp set ever (Tattered Angels Architectural trims) and two different colored distress inks.. dabbed the two inks randomly on the stamp and then starting from the middle, stamped my way out to the sides.. Because the ends of the stamp match, you can make the stamped image as long or as short as you want..

This way, I was able to Create a nice border on both the top and the bottom of the layout..

The photo is of my little Amber when she just turned 3 years old, she is now 22yrs old.. She was playing outside when I took this photo of her..

The flowers are by Prima.. The tiny roses are from the Grab Bag and

My favorite which is the fabric one from the Whispers Collection..

The cream and the black rose are from the same collection of Prima's.. I hand cut the banner, adhered it to the layout using foam tape squares and then cut the flourish and the title with my cricut imagine and black cardstock.. adding some bling and white liquid pearl drops..

Party People- SOUS sketch reveal Nov 11

Another Friday and yet another Holiday weekend for me (Its Father's day here Sunday).. Living in Finland has its perks, but sun light during autumn and winter isn't one of them..LOL Sun rises around 9am and starts to set around 4pm.. For four days, I tried to get a half way descent photo of this layout I created and this is the best I could do and sorry ladies, no close ups this time :( they just weren't clear enough..

These photos were taken at my mom's wedding last Spring.. the shorter one is my daughter Amber and the taller one is one of her best friends..

so, so. so...LOL This sketch is the very first one I have ever created and I held onto it not sure if I like it or not, but then decided "why not!".. Lets see what the girls over at SOUS can create with it and I have to say that I'm so pleasantly surprised that they were able to create some amazing stuff with it..

Autumn leaf Tutorial

Well ladies.. Its only Tuesday but as I sit here and create a little something something for my Thanksgiving table. I've had a few ladies ask me how I make my leaves so, I thought to share with you how I make my Autumn Leaves so realistic.. I'm sure we all have our ways of doing things, but this just another way and how I do it.. and yes, my finger tips get very inked in the process..LOL

Were going to make this:

into this:

For supplies you will need:

White cardstock

Ranger distress inks (or any other ink you use)

sponges

Leaf die cut ( I used my Cricut Imagine and A Childs Year cartridge)

These are the ink colors I used:

Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Fired Brick, Rusty Hinge, Shappy Shutters and Peeled Paint.

first you want to start with the lightest color:

Rub the yellow (Mustard Seed) all over the white leaf as shown above.

Dried Marigold next for an Orange shade leaf..

now, you can stop here if you wish to keep the leaf yellowish .

but when you make the leaf an orange shade then you need to do the following:

do the first two steps plus rub Rusty Hinge on the edges of the leaf, leaving the center of the leaf yellow

and at this point, you will also want to rub the cut seems,

by bending the leaf a bit so you can get to them easier..

Stop here if you want to leave the leaf orange...

now, were going for the red.. do the above three steps and then

rub the Fired Brick ink only on the very edges of the leaf..

I apologize for the fuzzy photo..

I took these with my iphone since my camera batteries are dead :(

Now you have mastered yellow, orange and red fall leaves...LOL

Then lets do some Green Leaves shall we:

Grab you shabby shutters (since its a lighter shade of green) and

rub it all over the white leaf with your sponge.

Then rub some of the Peeled paint on the edges of the leaf..

you can see here in the photo, that I have left the center of the leaf lighter..

if you wish to keep the leaf green, then stop here!!

but for fall colors, add a little Rusty hinge to the very edges

of the green leaves to add a little Autumn look to them..

and don't be afraid to experiment with different colors..

and when you do all of these steps your leaves will look great..

and don't forget to bend them a bit cause as you know, real leaves aren't flat..

then you can have realistic looking leaves just like these

and all out of white cardstock:

After a mad dash to the post office last Friday to pick up my package from Your Memories Here, when I finally got home, I threw the grocery bags on the kitchen floor and grabbed my box of Prima goodies.. (oh, the groceries? Who cares if the ice cream melts, my scrapbooking stuff is more important..LOL)

I absolutely love love love everything that came in the grab bag and here is the first of many layouts I get to create with the Prima "Printery Collection" I received.. papers, flowers and bling Oh my...LOL

and for my layout:

I started with a piece of plain 12x12 white cardstock (yes, you heard me right, white cardstock..LOL).. Inked the edges with several tints of Ranger distress inks, then Stamped the brick work image using black ink and finally layered the Prima papers, folded a cake doily, and added my photo..

last but not least, added a cluster of flowers.. The black silk rose and the mini roses came in the grab bag..wooo hooo!!

the cream colored flowers are from my own stash..

I also found some black gem swirls in my stash.. and added drops of white liquid pearl to the edge of the doily and photo mat.

You Leaf Me No Choice-SOUS DT project

I'm so super psyched today is Friday and tomorrow is a holiday here in Finland, which means I have all weekend off ..Whew!! TGIF for sure..LOL and of course another reason why I love Fridays is I get to share another project for our challenge blog S.O.U.S with you lovely ladies.. Along with our sketches we are doing Die cuts (as if you all didn't already know..LOL) and this Fridays Die Cut is to use a LEAF on your project..any project, be it a card, scrapbook layout, home decor.. anything goes!!

so, I chose to make a layout and I used a funny photo of my husband.. He has that Archie Bunker grin on his face and I love this photo of him cause it makes me laugh every time I look at it..LOL

Happy Hump Day ladies (wink, wink)..LOL

First of all, let me start by saying that Whimsical Wednesdays has a new home.. You can click on the Link below to go check it out, but before you go, I wanted to let you all know that

us ladies over at Whimsical Wednesdays are having our Wednesday reveal today and this time our theme is "ANYTHING GOES"..
I chose to a do a "Thankful for" layout and I'm thankful for COFFEE.. Its kind of like my Gypsy, I never leave home without it..LOL

We were to express why we are thankful either in the title, journaling on a tag or stamping..

So, I chose a tag, but I chose a hidden tag.

Halloween Birdhouse- YMH DT project

Happy Halloween fellow crafters...

As I am not so patiently waiting and getting beyond excited for my Prima grab bag to arrive from Your Memories Here (all the way to Finland),

I thought to create something Halloweeny (LOL) that I can put on my shelf as decor and then finally decided to make a haunted bird house.. I've seen lots of cute ones, which I think are gorgeous, but wanted to add a little Halloweeny twist to mine..

This was super simple to make..

Our boys- Sketch challenge reveal for S.O.U.S

Its another gloriously gloomy and rainy Friday here in Finland, but it always puts a happy heart warming smile on my face when I get to share a project with you lovely ladies..

this Friday we have another amazing Sketch to you by our very own Leah who has been a busy busy girl.. We wanted to offer some Clean and simple sketches for those of you that wanted to keep them simple..

I really did try to keep it simple and that's why I chose to scrap a photo of my boys that was taken back in 1996 when we first moved here to Finland.. They were only 2.5 yrs and 1.5yrs old then...Aaaaaw..LOL

Lil Shopper-DT project for YMH

Boy! These weeks are flying by and with that said, "Happy Monday fellow scrappers!"..

Its Nanné again and I want to share a layout I created for and of my daughter.. There are lots of layers and fussy cutting on this layout, plus my very favorites, Prima Flowers and E line Pearls.. I also ended up using my very favorite collection by Websters Pages..

So, Here is my layout:

White Prima flowers are just the best.. They go with anything and any color palette..

and I used Gemstone glue to glue down some string of Pearl..which was really quick, easy and no mess.

and for a few close ups of the layout:

I only had two big red flowers that were the same, placed those on the bottom of the layout..so, I grabbed a big red Prima one from my stash and then distress inked the edges to match.. came out pretty good :)

these big Alabaster round petal roses are great, as is or you can glimmer mist any color..

I love working with them..

and finally a close up of my daughter.. This was taken last summer as her and boyfriend took a three day cruise over to Sweden.. the tile came from them doing nothing much, except for shopping..

Altered Frame- Die cut challenge SOUS

Happy Friday Fellow crafters and scrappers..

Us ladies over at S.O.U.S are having our Friday Die Cut reveal today and we decided that this weeks die cut would be using a FENCE on your projects..

I have been wanting to alter these old photo frames I've been holding onto to forever and I found this cute idea while searching for inspiration on the web.. The original idea I found at Keiser Crafts blog, you can check it out by clicking HERE, but don't go just yet.. stick around for a few more mins and check out my interpretation of that idea..LOL

and so here it is:

the photo isn't the best in the world, but I'm sure you get the idea... I am redoing our bedroom and this will be placed on the shelf that is above our head board..

The frame measures about 4" x 11" and I first painted it brown, then added crackle medium (nice heavy coat) and finally painted white.. once dry, I took my paint dabbers (copper and black) and sponged a little bit here and there to make the frame look aged..

here are a few close ups:

There are lots of different elements on there..first of all, that paper I printed from the IMAGINE MORE cartridge for my Cricut Imagine and then sized it with my GEORGE AND BASIC SHAPES cartridge by cutting a long rectangle.. super easy !! I crinkled the paper in my hands and then rubbed them down with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink, using the ink applicator and used my edge distresser to tear up the edges.

The Flowers are by Prima and the leaves by I am roses..

The fence and street lamp I cut using the HERITAGE cartridge, The street lamp I welded using my design studio software.. the fence is actually heat embossed using Tim Holtz Rust embossing powder.. I cut it a bit longer than the frame, so it actually is bent out a bit.. Then lastly added some white liquid pearl to give it some highlight and some green Distress Stickles to the leaves..

I found some Tim Holtz Stamps in my stash and stamped the quote and the word LOVE. The quote I put on foam tape squares and placed in in the frame.. Left the glass out!! and finally the butterflies are a MS punch, which I used the left over paper that I had printed with the Imagine.

Sharing Fall Memories-YMH DT project

Happy Monday fellow Scrappers!

Its my turn to share a little project with you today that I've been working on as my DT project for
Your Memories Here..

I used simple white cardstock, some Tim Holtz distress inks and a Prima Mask to create an original background to my fall themed layout.. This technique was a first for me, so I'm really pleased with how it came out..

I then used some Autumn themed papers I found in my stash, Prima flowers and Leaves, plus some ribbon and brads..

Here is what I ended up with:

I took several different colors of distress ink and applied them all over the edges of my white cardstock using the ink applicator, then held down the Prima Mask with my hand as I took the same colors of ink and smudged them all over the mask using the ink applicator..

Here you can see the white peeking through all of the ink..

It really was super easy..

I layered some papers, added a cute photo my daughter when she was a bay-beh..LOL

Then added a big fall colored Prima flower onto the bottom corner, some orange leaves, the Prima Ivy and finally an orange/white colored Prima flower to the top corner of the photo mat.

and last but not least, randomly placed some chipboard letters I found in my stash along the bottom of the Prima flower ivy, using foam tape squares..

and then for the supplies you will need to create a great layout using white cardstock, a mask and some Inks..

ribbon, brads, papers, stickers, distress tool, circle paper punch's and chipboard letters!!

Friday Sketch Reveal for SOUS

For a lot of reasons, I get to shout out "TGIF!!"

First of all, I have a great layout and sketch to share with you today.. Our very own Leah from SOUS has created a CAS (clean and simple) style sketch for everyone this week and I've had a blast with it.. I honestly tried keeping this layout of mine Clean And Simple..LOL trust me when I say "that was challenging all on its own!"..LOL

and the second reason why I'm so thrilled today is, I have a three day weekend to look forward to... Wooo Hooo! :)

So, here is my take on this Friday's Sketch:

If you're scratching your head about the title, etc... which of course, I'm hoping your not..LOL
but I got this idea from the apples. The title "apple of my eye!" and then the "Fruits of our labor!" came to play.. so, I just incorporated the apples and the Labor, since my son was a big boy when he was born..LOL

I'm just goofy like that is all :)

Blissful layout- DT project for Your Memories Here

Happy Monday fellow Scrappers.. I know, its not my favorite day of the week either, but because I'm able to share with you a little something every Monday, it has certainly grown on me..LOL

Yesterday I grabbed a few things that I thought would make a great layout.. Starting off with was a photo of my daughter, then some of my favorite papers, stamps, punches, bling and of course Prima Flowers, ribbons and trinkets..

Here is what I ended up:

I once again took the Tattered Angels Architectural Trims stamps and stamped around the edge.. I used the brick stamp from the set this time and some Tim Holtz distress inks.. love how it came out, its not so IN YOUR FACE when you use a soft ink..LOL

I then took some of the lace trim and made a rosette out of it and then added small Prima Flower trinket to the center..

some big Prima flowers and other flowers I found in my stash, then finally added two different colored Prima leaves and some Prima Bling..

TREE-Die Cut Challenge for SOUS

Happy go lucky Friday my fellow crafters...As always, I'm happy to share with you a layout I created for our latest Die Cut challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches.. This weeks challenge is to use a TREE on your project.. it can be any TREE and any kind of project.. I decided to make a layout of my son Aaron when he was a toddler.. Whimsical Wizards Posts

October is finally upon us and with the first Wednesday of month, comes our challenge reveal for Whimsical Wednesdays.. This time out challenge is called "Whimsical Wizards!" cause we are to share a Halloween or Autumn themed layout, plus a mini tutorial on a technique we used on the layout..

My mini tutorial will be the punched photo corners.. (which I was first introduced to by a very lovely lady named Sandy Windsor and you can check out her blog by clicking HERE)..but don't go just yet..LOL

here is my project for out challenge:

We don't celebrate Halloween here in Finland, but its one of my all time favorite holidays from when we lived in the States.. I had so much fun putting this two pager (yes, two pager..LOL) together.. One of the items we were to use on this layout was some amazing Shabby Crinkle Ribbon by Patsy, do stop by her Etsy store by clicking HERE. I used the ribbon on the corners of the photo mats..looks pretty cute doesn't it?..LOL

This layout was Highlighted in the Cricut Chirp Newsletter October 25, 2011..

and now to share with you the technique I used to make the photo corners.. super quick and simple!!

first of all what you will need is:

cardstock or printed paper

edge punch

paper trimmer

scissors

pop dots or glue

Ink if you want to ink the edges

take a piece of cardstock and trim with you paper trimmer to the size of your liking..

I cut mine 2 1/4 " x 2 1/4"

Next you want to turn the paper so that you will cut it in half, corner to corner..giving you two triangles..

Then grab your favorite edge punch b(mine are the Martha Stewart ones) and place the triangle in the middle as pictured and punch down..

This is what you will have after you edge punch it..

Then, I take my scissors and trim the extra off as pictured!

Here I have a picture of two different edge punches and what the photo corners will end up looking like..

Pretty cool don't ya think and its really up to you what you want it to look like.. anything goes!!

So now, all you have to do to enter this weeks challenge is to

make a Halloween or Fall Themed Scrapbook LO and use one of the techniques you have learned from the Whimsical Wizards at Whimsical Wednesdays Blog...

Got Scraps? DT project for Your Memories Here

Happy Monday ladies.. I want to share a little helpful way to use your scraps.. I for one, hate throwing away good paper and sometimes the pieces can get pretty small.. Well, use some circle punches and create yourself a few hand made flowers for your layout or card.. super simple and quick!! and best of all, no more throwing away paper and the flowers match your layout perfectly...LOL

here is my design team project for today:

I cut three different size circles, crinkle them up in your hands, punch a small hole in the middle and assemble using a brad for instance for the middle.. I then adhered them to the layout using pop dots.. Plus, I randomly placed some Prima flowers and leaves around them and a couple of ribbon bows..

Memories-SOUS sketch challenge reveal

Sad to say, this is the last Friday in September.. can't believe how fast time flies.<-- I tend to say that a lot now a days.. I must be getting older..LOL so, anyway... Us girls over at SOUS are having our sketch challenge reveal today and our Sandi picked out a beautiful sketch for us to work with.. This weeks sketch is by a very talented lady name Liz Qualman. I absolutely loved working with it...

and Its great to be back home even though we enjoyed out vacation in the States.. and I'm sure you all have figured out by now, that I went on a scrapbook supply buying frenzy while in the States for two and a half weeks..LOL

I'm so sorry for the quality of the photo, but living in Finland this time of year means no sunshine for the next 6 months..for real!! Its a nice cloudy depressing day today..Yuck!!

I also dont' have photos on this layout cause the hard drive on my computer burnt up and I'm trying to get my hubby to salvage as much stuff off of their as humanly possible.. He has been successful with a few programs that I can't live without, one being the Design Studio files and saved projects! Whew!!.. I have total faith in him!! :)

Spending Time Together-YMH DT Project

Good Monday to you ladies and because its a Monday, Its my time to share a little project that I have created using some lovely Prima papers, flowers, stickles and Tim Holtz distress inks..

As you notice this layout does not have a photo just yet, I have big plans for this project..LOL I am trying to find the perfect photo of my husband and I while we were away this summer spending some much needed time with family and friends that live across the sea.. We had such a great time..

but before I blab your ears off, lets get to the layout shall we..

I absolutely adore these Prima papers with the border print.. Its so easy to make it look pretty without having to cut your own border papers.. I found some Prima flowers (roses) and some of my own leaves in my stash, Plus I added some white ribbon and diamond Stickles to the big white rose and the butterflies.

As for the title, I found a cute phrase sticker in my stash and stuck it down to white cardstock, inked the edges with distress ink and then stuck it down to the layout using Zapdots foam adhesives..then punched some butterflies and glued them down , adding some diamond Stickles to the centers of the butterflies..

This layout was quickly and easily created with lots of helpful items that you can find at Your Memories Here store.. Just click on the highlighted items and it will take you directly to the supplies used..

Love Exploding Box- Die Cut reveal-HEART

Hello Fellow crafters..

Us girls over at SOUS have another Friday Die Cut reveal for you and for our challenge this week you are to use a HEART shape on our project..

I have wanted to make one of these exploding boxes for the longest time now and today I was inspired to finally get one made..LOL

This is a little naughty box I made for my husband.. His birthday was last month and I didn't get him anything since he has everything.. So, this is a late gift, but I'm sure once he opens it up, he will be one happy camper, men are so easily ammused..LOL

So, here is my project:

It turned out more girly than I had wanted it to , but I just could not think of what to add on to the top of the box.. So, I grabbed my stash of flowers and here it is..LOL

and for a few photos of the inside:

So, the hearts come in as they flutter when you open the box.. I have attached them to strips of acetate

which are glued underneath the center.. Then added a big pink flower with a heart shaped brad that says "The One!".. Aaaaaaw..LOL

I found a bunch of love quotes online today and printed them onto the white cardstock, then cut them down and glued them to a bunch of pull out tags.. and there is an added bonus to this box, there are also little naughty tags in there as well just for my hubby.. LOL

Autumn Inspired Card- YMH design team project

I want to share this Autumn Inspired card that I created.. Its a "feel good" card for my sis-in-law who is terminally ill... I also got a lot of inspiration from Tim Holtz and his wonderful distress techniques.. layering multiple ink colors onto cardstock can make anything look professionally made, even my cards..LOL

So, with that said, here is my card..

and this is just a 4x6 piece of white cardstock that I cut to size, layered 4 different shades of Tim Holtz distress inks all over it and then stamped the top of it with a word stamp.. Then cut a piece of colored paper by Bo Bunny distressed the edges and finally glued it down..

cut the top note, star and leaves with my cricut, which I also distressed with Tim Holtz Distress inks and the ink applicator.. Finally added some prima lace trim and did some computer generated journaling for the sentiment..

Blissful Days-SOUS sketch reveal

Yikes, time sure does go fast when you're having fun..LOL I'm still on my trip to the states and the family and I will be flying back to Finland tomorrow :( I always love coming home, but will be missing my family and friends till the next time we meet..

can't wait to go through all the scrappping goodies that I know I have bought..LOL

but till then, let me share my Sketch reveal project with you.. We once again have a sketch that our very own Sandi Clarkson had chosen for us to work with and It's a beauty..

I wanted to think outside of the box a little and grabbed some of my Echo Park papers.. luv the soft shades to the "Spring Time" collection..

so without further a-do, here is my take on our sketch:

The colors of the layout are really soft and light.. I took this photo pretty late in the evening and even with the superb lighting that I have in my scraproom, the colors dont' this layout justice.. The photo is of my beloved grandmother who as you all know, has passed away almost 6 yrs ago.. seems like just yesterday !! I miss her phone calls, which she would call me every evening and we always found stuff to talk to about, even though she only lived about a 3 min drive away from me..LOL

Love Tattered Angels-YMH DT layout

Happy Monday to you ladies..

I am so excited to share with you a little something I created using Tattered Angels glimmer mist and Architectural Trims stamp set.. Plus a whole bunch of different prima flowers.. I started out by stamping the trim around the 6x6 base of the layout, then added gold Liquid pearl drops to highlight it a little bit..

Glimmer misted some white prima Daisy's with Tattered Angels Marmalade Glimmer mist, and I have to point out that the new formula they have made is a blessing.. It mixes better and it won't glog your sprayer, So Two thumbs up to Tattered Angels.. Woo Hoo!! :)

and with that said, Here is my layout:

I created my old flower vine with some green wire and flower tape, then started layering my already sprayed flowers and then added the leaves.. I only sprayed the Big Daisys, the other flowers are all original color.. Added E-Line Pearls to the centers of the flowers and finally, cut the title out with my Cricut Imagine..

as for the photo.. My mom is on the right and her mom, my beloved grandmother is on the left..

My Girl Mini Album-Die Cut Challenge-Flower

Hi ladies and thank you for stopping by today and checking out what I've created for our die cut challenge over at Stuck On U sketches.. Our die cut theme for this Friday was FLOWER..meaning, to use any die cut flower.. I decided to use three different die cut machines for this project, my Cricut Imagine and my Cricut Expression, plus my little green monster, the cuttlebug..

Here is my project:

this is a 4"x6" mini that has chipboard only on the front and back covers..the rest is just white cardstock that I then decorated with Bo Bunny paper and all the flowers are hand made, except for one.. Can you pick out the Prima?..LOL

Here are some photos of the inside of the mini album:

Hand made daisy, cut out of white cardstock and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick disterss ink and all of the leaves in this album I cut using the "A Childs Year" cartridge.

the cabbage rose (left) and the big flower(right) are both cut using my cuttlebug and the Tim Holtz Sizzix die Tattered Florals.. the tiny flowers are a Fiskars punch which I inked and layered..

This flower I also cut using the Tattered Florals die, white cardstock and worn lipstick ink.. same with the small buds.

Another Daisy, I cut using my Cricut E and Graphically Speaking cartridge.. added a decorative button to the center..

Cabbage rose (luv these).. I cut it with white cardstock and my tattered Floral die, glimmer misted it with pink bubble gum and then inked the edges..

this is the two pager.. lots of pockets on the left and then just photo mats on the right..

Here is another rose I created with the sizzix tattered floral die.. and you dont' have to cut all of the flowers on the die, you can just cut smaller pieces of cardstock, stack them onto the one cut and then run it through your cuttlebug/bigshot..

large photo mat tags.. and Here is the prima..LOL can you spot the difference? I have to admit that my flowers actually look a lot better than the prima..but dont tell anyone I said so..LOL

and finally, the last page...My mini is so big and bulky, I had to leave the flowers off of this last page or it would not have shut..LOL I did a tri-fold photo mat on the left and then one big pull out tag and pocket on the right...
